Straight On Gay Marriage

Republican Charles D. Baker Jr. officially entered the Massachusetts governor’s race yesterday, filing his paperwork with the state and then swiftly launching into an attack on Governor Deval Patrick’s handling of the budget and economy.

That's all well and good, i suppose, but since I don't live in Massachusetts, why should I care about a Republican--of all things--running for governor.

Well, for one thing, Baker is Pro-Choice.

And then there's this:Charles Baker on marriage equality: “My brother’s gay, and he’s married, and he lives in Massachusetts, so I’m for it. Is that straight enough?’’

Straight enough, indeed.

Good luck, Charlie.

  1. Nice to see respect and equality can cross party lines.
