Feud: Whoopi v Jeanine

A hard and fast rule …. never tell Whoopi Goldberg who she is. Whoopi is Whoopi and she’ll gladly tell her yourself who she is, so don’t come for her.

Okay Judge Jeanine?

Jeanine Pirro, a Fox news and_____ darling, was set to appear on The View last week to hawk her book on ______, but when she arrived, and learned that conservative pundit, and staunchly anti-_____ Ana Navarro was sitting in for Joy Behar she apparently became enraged.

She asked that Ana not appear in her segment; the show refused. And she apparently shrieked like a GOP snowflake, demanding that the producers “handle this.” And they did; they told Jeanine to sit at the table, right beside Ana, and do her interview or leave.

Jeanine sat, but was then looking for a fight. And she got one when she told Whoopi that she suffered from “Trump Derangement Syndrome”.

Whoopi begged to differ and said:
“Did you just point at me? Listen, I don’t have Trump derangement [syndrome]. Let me tell you what I have. I’m tired of people starting a conversation with ‘Mexicans are liars and rapists.’ Listen, I’m 62 years old. There have been a lot of people in office that I didn’t agree with. But I have never, ever seen anything like this. I have never seen anybody whip up such hate. I have never seen anybody be so dismissive.”
Jeanine, because her lips are pressed firmly to _____ ass, said:
“You know what’s horrible? When people who shouldn’t be here end up murdering the children of American citizens!”
And Whoopi replied:
“What is horrible is when the president of the United States whips up people to beat the hell out of people … Say goodbye. I’m done!”
Whoopi was, so incensed she had to get host Sara Haines to wrap up the segment and go to commercial. But the drama didn’t end there, because Jeanine Pirro is a vile human being. In front of the audience, Pirro stood, ripped off her microphone, called all the women of The View ‘cocksuckers’ and stormed off.

Well, Whoopi had already left the stage, top cool off, when Pirro decided to walk past her. A source says:
“Jeanine could have walked by her. There was one more segment to do. She could have walked by her easily, she put her finger in her face and said, ‘I’ve done more for abused women than you will ever do’ and that’s when Whoopi said, ‘You and I have never had a problem,’ before everything else was said.”
And then she allegedly shouted:
“F**k you! Get the f**k out of here.”
Whoopi ended the show by apologizing to the audience for the blowup:
“You saw me do something I very rarely do … I very rarely lose my cool and I’m not proud of it. I don’t like it. But I also don’t like being accused of being hysterical because that is one of the things I try not to be on this show.”
Jeanine took her side to TMZ and played the victim card because, well, Fox News, GOP< _____:
“Look, I don’t mind four against one, I can handle it, but I don’t like being mistreated by people who invited you to have a discussion and then treat you like you’re less than human.”
I may remind you … “cocksucker.” That’s what Pirro said.

And, because it’s TV and everyone has a show, the next morning, Whoopi took on the tale again:
“She seemed to leave some key points out. She left a lot of pertinent stuff out…There’s a lot of spinning she’s doing and I can’t do anything about that but I can tell you what went on. She was upset when she got here because Ana Navarro was here instead of Joy [Behar]. After the segment, which ended up when it was supposed to, she then called everybody at the table a name I cannot repeat on TV [cocksucker] and said it in front of the audience.”
Whoopi went on:
“When I came offstage…I was a little hot. She came off. She could have just passed me. She didn’t need to stop but she stopped and put her finger in my face and yelled ‘I’ve done more for victims than you ever will.’ Then I said to her some few choice words [f**k you] that I cannot repeat. But I did not spit on her. I did not intimidate her. No one chased her out. But she did leave her cursing at the people who book the show, she cursed at the guys who do the security for the show…None of us were chasing her because we still had another segment to do.”
And then Pirro took the story to her own show, the lop-sided, one-sided, _____-sided, Fox News channel and basically said this is about hatred for ______:
“The level of hatred toward the 45th president of the United States is beyond anything we have seen in American history. He was once an icon sought after for movies, television, by politicians on both sides of the aisle, sports figures and yes, even the media. Then he ran for president. Now Donald Trump is the target of vitriol so palpable it’s simply frightening. And reason has become irrelevant. We can’t have conversations anymore. What you’re doing is tearing down America. You’re tearing down the values of the United States. Everyone has the right to speak. But when you can’t even listen to what someone has to say because you despise the man who is president, you undermine not the president, you undermine the United States.”
Wait, he’s sought after for movies? Is she is publicist now? And, again, calling Mexicans vile names, calling all Muslims terrorists, being a misogynistic pig, cozying up to murderous dictators, groping women, calling Nazis ‘nice people’ are not the actions of a man with American values.

It’s hate, and Jeanine Pirro is doing what she can to help _____ out by doing what she, Fox News, the GOP and _____do best … lie. And, with that, Jeanine came off as an hysterical shrew … cocksucker … sticking up for hate and racism and sexual predators, but again, Fox News, the GOP and _____.

PS _____ gave Jeanine 20K when she ran against Hillary for New York Senate and lost in spectacular fashion, and ever since then she’s been smooching the flabby orange ass.

It's Snarkurday!

So, on the FOX show Gotham, Benjamin McKenzie stars alongside Morena Baccarin as his love interest, and it appears that life has begun to imitate art, since the couple announced that, not only are they now dating, but that Baccarin is four months pregnant with their first child.

And. Call me cray cray but that’s probably not something her soon-to-be ex-husband, Austin Chick, is thrilled about, especially since he filed for divorce just last July — when Baccarin was already two months pregnant — and asked for joint custody of their two-year-old son Julius.

If we, as Cher once famously told us to do, turn back time, to say, oh, May, and we believe that Baccarin and Chick split then, she was already about a minute knocked up. So, either she was banging Ben just as she split from her husband and found herself “with child” after that first tryst, or she banging Ben while she was still living with Chick, and presumably banging him, too.

Either way, Baccarin works fast, you know.

Kate Hudson loves musicians. She was married to one — Chris Robinson of The Black Crows — impregnated by one — Matthew Bellamy of Muse —  and is now ALLEGEDLY hooking up with one …

Nick Jonas, who is 23 to her 36. She showed up at his show in Orlando recently and then the two were spotted having brunch together in Miami a few days later.

She likes musicians, and she likes ‘em young.

And howsabout another Hollywood marriage imploding?

After just one date, and a blind date at that, Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco moved one-time pro tennis player Ryan Sweeting into her house. Three months later they were engaged; three months later they were married. Twenty-one months later it’s over.

Okay, so it’s sad that this epic love story ended, but what makes me giggle is that Kaley Cuoco, on the day of her marriage to Sweeting — whose name she legally took by the way, and will now have to legally change back — had their wedding date tattooed onto her back in Roman numerals.

Here’s hoping she can find another guy to marry on that same day, and then she can just laser off the year and have a new tattoo done.

In Rich People Problem News … Johnny Depp used to have a 156-foot yacht he named Vajoliroja, which, although it sounds vaguely gynecological is actually a mash-up of the names of Johnny, his ex Vanessa Paradis, their daughter Lily-Rose and their son Jack.

I say he sued to have the yacht because new wife, and puppy smuggler, Amber heard has refused to set foot on a boat named after Johnny’s baby mama, even slightly named, and so the boat has to go.

That Amber is one cold bitch to make Johnny sell a boat he’d named after his children, but what the heck, now he can buy a new boat, call it say, Jamber, or Ambonny, or Deard, or, perhaps a better name for this kinda filthy looking pair, Hepp, and then he call sell that one when his next love comes along.

Like I said, Rich People Problems.

I always thought Khloe was the smart one in the family. And I know, that's not saying much, considering that family but ...

Think again.  Khloe Kardastrophe recently had the paint job on her Range Rover redone. Not new paint mind you, but black velvet.

Yes, she had her car wrapped in black velvet. Now all it needs is someone to paint Elvis on it and Khloe will officially be white trash.

So, Australia has taken a page from Canada, Great Britain and New Zealand’s playbook in refusing to allow serial abuser, chair tosser, asshat and Wildman Chris Brown into their country.

Brown was supposed to perform in Australia and New Zealand in December, but that might not happen because he beat the crap out of Rihanna because … because … because he’s a serial abuser of women.

It seems that Australia’s Minister for Women, Michaelia Cash has said the country’s immigration minister may deny Chris Brown’s visa and if it was solely up to her, she would’ve rejected it already.
“I’m clearly not going to preempt a decision by the minister; however I can assure you what my strong recommendation would be. People need to understand — if you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel around the world, there are going to be countries that say to you, ‘You cannot come in because you are not of the character that we expect in Australia.”
I like the idea except for one thing: if the entire world suddenly decides that Chris Brown is not welcome in certain countries, that means we’ll have to deal with him 24/7.

Oh lord … this could get ugly … for America. But, in an update, we now know that Australia has given Chrissy a Notice of Intention to Consider Refusal, which means they’re giving him the chance to prove why he deserves to enter the country and they’ve given him 28 days — the length of his last rehab stay, by the way — to come up with a good reason.

Lord, he won’t be able to do it, because I imagine his good reason will be Instagrammed out to the world and contain the literate phrase:
“Just cuz.”
I say channel your inner Nancy Reagan Australia and “Just say ‘no.’”

Last week we talked allegations that Jessica Simpson was all drunk and shiz while selling her shoes and such on HLN. And we learned that just because she was a confused slurring mess doesn’t mean she’s drunk, that’s just how she talks, except …

Jessica’s husband, Eric, has had enough with the booze and the pills and has threatened to take their kids if she doesn’t get help. A source — and it might be Lohan, who might be Simpson’s dealer — says Eric is tired of Jessica using the prescription drug Adderall to keep her 5-foot-3 frame at a 92 pounds and washing the dolls down with Scotch.

So, maybe the slurring and the wacknut conversation were Scotch-erall induced?

Lord. When did producers at The View decide it was less important to hire intelligent women to discuss the latest news and information, and more important to hire wingnuts to spout their lunacy? I mean, maybe that was their plan: hire lunatics and rather than score ratings points for being a good show, we score higher numbers for having loons on TV.

Case in point: the ladies at The View stirred up more controversy when Whoopi Goldberg brought up how Lena Dunham posted an underwear photo and then quit Twitter after experiencing “verbal abuse” and here’s how The View gals responded:
Whoopi Goldberg: “The minute you put yourself out there, in somebody’s underwear … you can’t be surprised. You know what’s on Twitter.”
Raven-Symone: “At the same time, people on Twitter need to keep their mouths respectful because they come hard at people.”
Candace Cameron Bure: “I’ve never been more verbally abused in my life than on Twitter, and specifically in the last few months, having come on this show. A lot of people don’t agree with me – that’s fine, don’t agree with me. But you don’t have to verbally abuse me and rape me. That’s what they do to me on Twitter.”
Yes, someone, a stranger no less, an anonymous stranger, saying something mean about you on Twitter is just like being sexually assaulted according to Candace Cameron Bure, The View’s Elizabeth Hasselbeck 2.0.

Rape is a sexual assault; someone saying you’re a morn might be mean, or, in this case, true. But it’s never akin to rape.

It's Snarkurday!

Remember when those Looney Lohans—chardonnay loving Dina and her cracktress daughter Lindsay—filed a lawsuit against Fox News because Michelle Fields , a guest on Sean Hannity’s show, accused them of doing coke together?

Well, Fox News apologized; I think they said something like we’re sorry someone said you do coke together, when it’s actually crack. But the Lohans weren’t buying that apology because neither one of them has a job and so, yeah, lawsuit, claiming Fields’ comment smeared their reputation.

Stop laughing! That’s what they said.

Well, I guess even the judge wasn’t laughing because he tossed the Lohan Lawsuit out of court saying the comment wasn’t “malicious” because the Lohans are public intoxicants figures.

Maybe they’ll get a job now?

I said, Stop laughing!

It appears that Deborah Norville went Christian Bale on her crew the other day.

Y’all recall when Bale had an epic meltdown on a movie set because someone was ruining his scene? Well, it happened to Norville, too.

Apparently, Deborah Norville, who has been on Inside Edition since she was run out of town by The Today Show, was working a Harper’s Bazaar party in New York last week when a band of rude and mean bitches did not give her the time of day and off she went.

A witness says that Deborah was interviewing celebrities but was growing more and more irate that all the pretty girls—models, mostly—walked through her shot during filming, but she finally blew her stack when a lowly publicist entered her filming arena.

And so … She.Kicked.Her.

Yes, while Christian Bale f-bombs when he’s angry, Deborah Norville will actually kick you if you piss her off, and all the while smile for the cameras.

But then, I’m guessing because she was so enraged, she began hijacking interviews from other, for lack of a better word, journalists. As one celebrity was speaking with someone on camera, Deborah Norville ALLEGEDLY busted in and began interviewing said celebrity, starting off with an “I’m Deborah Norville.”

But the best part of the night was when she saw a celebrity wannabe circling the carpet and she screamed “Willow” at Willow Smith.
Except it was Willow’s brother, Jaden.

Ouch.

More drama at The View and the season’s barely begun.

It all started the morning after the Miss America pageant when co-host Michelle Collins brought up the monologue about being a nurse that Miss Colorado gave during the talent section. They showed a clip of Miss Colorado delivering the monologue while wearing her nurse’s uniform. Joy Behar asked, “Why does she have a doctor’s stethoscope around her neck?”

And suddenly nurses everywhere shrieked and turned off their TV sets and refused to ever watch The View again.

Not because of the nurse bashing but because the show is over … like by about five years.
And two advertisers also seized this non-event o pull out of the show; both Johnson & Johnson and Eggland’s Best Eggs announced that they were done giving advertising money to The View.

Again, not because of the nurse bashing but because the show is seriously over.

Rumor has it that Jessica Simpson appeared on the Home Shopping Network last week to hawk her shoes or purses or sunglasses or something, and she was all kinds of drunk.

Of course, though both Jessica and her people, and HSN have all chimed in saying she was not drunk, or tipsy or blotto, but maybe she’s just dumb?

Okay, maybe I said that.

Sources say that Jessica was on for two hours selling and selling and that she wasn’t drunk, but maybe she was just tired, and, oh, by the way, she slurs when she talks.

Wow.

Well, That Woman must be rolling over in her crypt with the news that thirty-eight-year –old Orlando Bloom is hooking up with her nineteen-year-old daughter Kendall after the two met at a party.

Yes, the math is correct, he is twice her age, but That Woman only cares about the fact that if they continue being a couple, she’ll get Orlando to sell his soul to her and he’ll be forced to either appear on her rancid reality show or spend and eternity in Hell.

I’d pick Hell, myself.

So, last season Empire was the hit show, and so naturally people wanna talk Taraji and Terrence; well, maybe not Taraji because she’s normal, but lotsa folks ask creator Lee Daniels about that hot mess known as Terrence Howard and Daniels opts to stick up for the lunatic wife beater.

And that’s how Daniels now finds himself at the suing end of a lawsuit brought by Sean Penn.

It’s no secret that Howard has been accused of physically assaulting nearly half a dozen women, and so when Daniels was asked about that he said:

“That poor boy. [Terrence] ain’t done nothing different than Marlon Brando or Sean Penn, and all of a sudden he’s some f—in’ demon. That’s a sign of the time, of race, of where we are right now in America.”

And cue the $10 million lawsuit brought by Penn against Daniels.

Seriously, though, is Daniels suggesting that since Sean Penn beat up on Madonna — and let’s face it, he did — that Terrence Howard be given a pass?

Two wrongs make a right, Lee? And quit making light of Howard’s abusive nature by saying someone else did it, too.

Azealia Banks doesn’t have a career any more, unless you call attacking people on social media a career. And maybe even she doesn’t because now she’s taken her act off the internet and into the sky.

Banks was on a flight from New York to LA this week and gave passengers quite a display of asshatitude. It all began when the plane landed and Banks was ready to get off. Trouble was, she was in the 6th row and she was blocked from exiting by a French couple in the 3rd row. Azealia tried to squeeze by them but the man put his hand out to, she says, “stop her.”

And she was off!  Witnesses say Banks spit in the man’s face, punched him and clawed at his shirt. When a flight attendant stepped in, grabbed Banks’ bag and told her to calm, she really lost it.

Well, her balance at least; She fell into a seat, got back up and tried to get her luggage back from the flight attendant while calling him a “f**king f*ggot.”

And so a co-pilot got involved and threatened to call the police and that’s when Banks ran, dropping her phone along the way. Police caught up with her at baggage claim, but she wasn’t arrested or anything, because the French couple, on vacation, didn’t want to be bothered with some “low-rent, low-class piece of trash with a filthy mouth.”

Oh, yeah, I said that part.

Candace Cameron Bure Defends Discrimination Because ... God

I don’t watch The View regularly, though I do catch a snippet of it on occasion and cringe at what passes for intelligent discussion, or different “views,” as it were. And I didn’t see this exchange on TV though it came to me via Facebook and a simple Google search, so let’s dig in …

Candace Cameron Bure is known for three things … well, two things really. She was on Full House decades back, and will be on the Full House reboot coming soon to a channel near you, and is the sister of Kirk Cameron, another former child star turned religious wingnut who has taken his faith and his ideas about faith to a whole new low.

Candace is also a Christian, just so you know, and on the show recently she and fellow child star, and co-host, Raven-Symoné, got into it over that Oregon bakery that was fined $135,000 for refusing to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding.

Raven called it discrimination:
“To me, it's the same exact thing that they did back in the day, saying that black people couldn't do certain things because 'it's my religious belief.’”
Candace vehemently disagreed:
“I don’t think this is discrimination at all. This is about freedom of association, it’s about constitutional rights, it’s about First Amendment rights. We do have the right to still choose who we associate with. They didn’t refuse to bake the cake because of their sexual orientation, in fact they’ve baked cakes for them previously. They had a problem with the actual ceremony, because that, the ceremony is what conflicted with their religious beliefs.”
And we’ll stop … it’s not discrimination? Telling a client at your business that was opened to serve the public that you will not bake a cake for their wedding ceremony because you don’t believe in same-sex marriage is discrimination against The Gays because, unless I have this whole gay thing figured out wrong, the only people having same-sex marriages are The Gays; which means discrimination if you refuse to bake my cake.

And, as Whoopi said, putting it quite simply:
“But were they invited to the ceremony?”
And that answer would be ‘No.’ And I would ask Candace Cameron Bure how she might feel if she went to a bakery and asked for a cake and was denied service because she’s a Christian; is that an okay thing to do? I mean, if we can all deny services to anyone we choose if we just decide that we don’t like them, or their lifestyle or the color of their skin or their faith, then where are we? Who are we?

And it brings up this meme which made its way around Facebook, which, on its face, might seem kinda ridiculous, but let the idea sink in for a spell:

You are a baker, you bake cakes. I am a client; I order a cake for my same-sex wedding. Does the baking of the cake mean you have celebrated my wedding? Does it mean you have condoned it, partaken in it, been a part of it? See, if that’s the case, then every single business owner who provides any kind of service, is part of the act that results from the purchase.

As would be the case with a gun shop owner who sold me a gun and then I shot someone. That owner, by the very nature of the Bure’s, and the baker’s train of thought, took part in what I did with my purchase.

If we used that idiotic logic that Bure spouted; luckily, we don’t. We simply ask that people be treated equally, and that people of faith, who have a right to their faith, don’t interject that faith into every nook and cranny of the world, because then religious folk can deny The Gays any and every service anywhere in the world and just because they cry God we have to endure the discrimination.

It ended, as this conversation does from those with a religion-only POV, with Bure saying that we should really just respect all views; except, she doesn’t think those Christian bakers need to respect the views of that gay couple who just wanted a cake.

And so Raven shut her down with this:
“But I also think that if you’re going to be a religious party, or if you’re going to be somebody that believes in an almighty being, you should be respectful from the get go.”
Mic drop; because I hear all these Christians demanding respect for their beliefs while denying The Gays respect for being gay. And here’s just one more thing that Bure, with all her opinions and her faith, behind her, does not understand:

The United States Constitution protects freedom of religion, but it does not protect those who use their religion to deny equal protections to others.

In your home you can do and say and discriminate all you want, but if you open a business to the public then its open to the public, all of the public, and in Oregon its quite clear that you cannot discriminate against people based on their sexual orientation and if these women were denied service because they are having a same-sex wedding ceremony, which they are having because they are of the same sexual orientation, then the bakers broke the law.

Minute Rant: The View Replaces Crazy With Crazy

Okay, so I figured The View, which is losing co-hosts almost as fast as they’re losing viewers, couldn’t dig up a crazier co-host than Sherri Bible-Thumper Shepherd, who once famously claimed that because she believed every word in the Bible, she wasn’t sure that the Earth wasn’t flat — I guess my Bible missed the chapter on Flat Earth. And I kinda wished she’d tried to prove her point by walking to the edge of Earth and jumping off.

And then The View hired Jenny McCarthy who hasn’t uttered a coherent sentence in her entire life, and thinks bug-eyes and guffaw teeth are comedy gold, and Rite-Aid readers are a sign of intelligence.

The show bounced those two, and replaced them with Nicole Wallace, the token GOP, Rosie Perez, the token Latina, and Rosie O’Donnell, the token gay or the token crazy. Rosie O left the show a couple of months in because her third Minute-Marriage was ending, and so The View began auditioning co-hosts and this week they announced that they’d scraped the bottom of the barrel and found one:

Raven-Symoné. I know. They’ve replaced Dumb and Dumber, and lesbian, with, well, here are a few things Raven has said while auditioning:
“I never said I wasn’t black, I said I wasn’t African American — to me that’s a difference. Thank you to Ancestry.com for sending me my DNA test … I am from every continent in Africa except for one and I’m also from every continent in Europe except for one.”
All together now: Africa is made up of many continents, and so is Europe. And someone, please send Raven a book of maps.

Then there was the time she took some guy from Univision to task for comparing Michelle Obama to an ape:
“Michelle, don’t fire me from this right now, but some people look like animals. I look like a bird. So can I be mad if somebody calls me Toucan Sam?”
WTF? She doesn’t even get the idea of that racist Univision remark? She should’a traveled to that last continent on Africa and taken a class or something.

For her part, Raven said this about her new job:
“The Disney Company has made another one of my dreams come true! Being a part of ‘The View’ family will be a wonderful growing experience for me. The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host. I want to thank ABC, ABC News and The Disney Company for believing in me and my potential! Let’s have some fun!”
Um, before fun, howsabout a little education? A little thinking before you speak? Oh hell, she’ll stay because the show needs stupid … and because they haven’t announced yet who the fifth co-host might be.

I’d like to suggest a friend of mine I call Cancellation.

Rosie v Hasselbeck with Behar and Goldberg [and me] In The Mix

Back in 2007, when The View was relevant, when the panelists had opinions and weren’t just talking Blond Bobbleheads making funny faces, or sassy Black Women playing the Urkel card, we had heated discussions about the war in Iraq, Republicans and Democrats, and most of those fights were between Rosie O’Donnell, the ultra-liberal loudmouth — and I mean loudmouth in a nice way, really, I do — and ultra-conservative low-wattage dim-bulb Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

But the big fight that broke the camel’s back, and sent Rosie packing, and Elisabeth gloating, was the day that, while discussing the not-so-Mission Accomplished war in Iraq and Rosie said this:
“I just want to say something: 655,000 Iraqi civilians are dead. Who are the terrorists? If you were in Iraq and another country, the United States, the richest in the world, invaded your country, and killed 655,000 of your citizens, what would you call us?”
Valid point, I thought then and think so now. In Iraq, who we all know had nothing to do with 9/11, who were not hiding Osama bin Laden, and who had no WMD but did have oil, the Iraqi people were simply living their lives and suddenly the United States attacked them. In the eyes and minds of Iraqi citizens, the US committed a terrorist act upon their country; that’s what Rosie was saying.

But Hasselbeck, and her brand of America Love it or Leave It conservatism, took it to mean that Rosie O’Donnell was calling our troops terrorists; not so. And one day on the show, the day that would be Rosie’s last, until, ALLEGEDLY, this fall, Rosie asked Elisabeth plainly, “Do you believe that I think our troops are terrorists?”

And, again, Elisabeth tried to spin it; in fact, she probably had her phone in her lap trying to text Hannity to ask him what she should say, and she began talking round and round. Rosie, rightly, became angry, and said it was a simple Yes or No question. Elisabeth couldn’t, wouldn’t, didn’t answer and after that show Rosie hit the bricks and didn’t come back.

Fast forward to 2014 and suddenly it looks like Rosie O’Donnell will be returning to The View in September, so naturally, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, forced out of the show a couple of years ago no matter how she spun that tale, and now a co-host on, where else, Fox News, decided she would give us her two cents — though it was actually far less — on the issue.

On vacation last week, Hasselbeck called in to Fox and Friends and acted as though Rosie’s return was some sort of personal attack on her. She claims to have known that Rosie’s deal with producers was in the works for months and was pissy about the whole thing; when I say pissy I mean jealous because Rosie’s back on The View and Hasselbeck is stuck on Fox the least-trusted news source of any news channel, and here’s what she had to say:
“I know Rosie very well. We worked quite closely. Talk about not securing the border. Here in comes to ‘The View’ the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there.
Coming back with a bunch of control ready to regain a seat at The View table. Not surprising, I believe this has been in the works for a long time.
Go back to the reunion show for Barbara. When you have a woman who again insinuated that our own troops in Iraq were terrorists at the time then left the show, meanwhile still at the end of her contract. To have such ease at Barbara’s goodbye show was shocking to me. She walked around with a lot of control. And then when I had the chance to talk to her, Rosie herself told me on set, while we were miked up, that she produced the reunion show and that it was her idea. Do you think that the woman who left the way she did would be producing Barbara’s goodbye show? Here’s the shocker, it was actually her ‘hello show.’
Anyone who is going to be in that seat, if this is going to play out how I think it is, will have to be fully approved by Rosie. Let’s not forget, Whoopi Goldberg is sitting there. Whoopi is an EGOT [Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award winner]; Whoopi has more trophies in her case than Rosie. She’s the leader on that show. I’m going to be very interested to see how that goes… I don’t think it would be wise for Rosie to challenge Whoopi on anything.”
Wow. Seven years later and she’s still playing the Rosie Said We’re Terrorists card and then trying to pit Whoopi against Rosie because Whoopi has a lot of awards? Seriously, Hasselbeck, get a grip; if you got to be a co-host on The View based on the number of awards you’d won, you’d still be eating rice on Survivor. Get it queer: you’re not on the show anymore; you wore out your welcome; no one wanted to hear from you and so you slithered off to the place where all unwanted conservatives go when they think their opinion matters, Fox.

You need to take a seat.

And listen to Joy, that other liberal voice on the show, who appeared on CNN last week to talk about Hasselbeck’s busting a gut about Rosie’s return, calling Elisabeth’s comment about Rosie spitting in the face of the military was ”a hate-filled remark” and then adding:
“I thought that was really kind of below the belt—to say that she spits in the face of the military. I’d like Elisabeth to explain herself, really. What does she mean by that? Isn’t it kind of a nasty thing to say about somebody who basically is a good person? I mean, say what you want about Rosie O’Donnell, she’s a very generous person, she has a million kids, she’s always rescuing children — I mean, she has more kids than Mrs. Duggar at this point on her roster. Her son is at The Citadel — what more does Elisabeth want? … To say that she spits in the face of the military, that’s a dangerous thing to say about somebody. First of all, it’s not true. I would like her to prove it.”
Trouble is, Elisabeth won’t prove anything because she’s of that ilk—think Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, and the Mama Grizzly Bore™--who think that just because they say something often enough it makes it true; it’s an affliction of nearly everyone at Fox News. Or in the GOP, or in Elisabeth’s case, both.

And, of course, Rosie has a say in the matter, though she’s mostly Tweeting her responses to Hasselbeck’s rant.

She does say that she initiated contact with Hasselbeck at The View’s reunion show the week that Barbara Walter’s retired, Tweeting that “she was hiding in her dressing room — til i walked right in and said hello — her reply LETS TAKE A SELFIE!!”

And then she began responding to Tweets that were sent her way …

So, we’ve heard from Elisabeth, that Crazy Republican Living in the Past and Still Carrying a Grudge, and we heard from a comical voice of reason in Behar, and we got Rosie’s POV via Twitter; but what of Whoopi, the last remaining co-host on the show?

Well, in true Whoopi form, she ain’t playin’. On the show last week, before ABC announced that Rosie was returning, Whoopi had some things to say …
"We don't know who's coming in! I will do my best to respect the audience, to make sure that we bring you The View that Barbara Walters wanted you to have, which is women talking about issues. We are not little kids. We are grown-ass women. … Quit trying to make me into something I'm not! I'm not a little girl with cat claws. I'm not a cat. I'm a human being. I'm a girl with a fist!"
Snap.

I hope with Rosie’s return, and Whoopi onboard, The View returns to its more relevant days, when the topics were politics and presidents, wars for oil and terrorism, and not The View of the Jenny McCarthy-Sherri Shepherd era where the discussions leaned more toward Justin Bieber throwing eggs, or Kanye throwing a tantrum.

Hopefully Rosie and Whoopi, and whomever else is tagged for the remaining two chairs, can discuss important issues, and hopefully Elisabeth — and remember dear, you are off the show, your opinion doesn't matter — will find a sense of peace and come to understand that she is not an important journalist, nor a person with a valid opinion, but rather just another story-spinning,Thanks Obama spewing Blond Talking Head on Fox.
