I Didn't Say It ...

Pete Buttigieg, on Bill Maher’s show, on JD Vance’s idiocy and hypocrisy:

“It’s not that complicated. I know there are a lot of folks who say, what’s going on with some of these Silicon Valley folks [Peter Thiel] veering into [The Felon] world with JD Vance … what are they thinking? Silicon Valley, they’re supposed to care about climate. They’re supposed to be … pro-science and rational and libertarian. So normally libertarians don’t like authoritarians. What’s up with that? I think it’s actually we’ve made it way too complicated. It’s super simple. These are very rich men who have decided to back the Republican Party that tends to do good things for very rich men. That’s kind of what you’re getting with JD. When I got to Harvard, I found a lot of people like him who would say whatever they needed to get ahead. And five years ago, that seemed like being the anti-[The Felon] Republican. So that’s what he was talking about. How [The Felon] was unfit, how he was cynical, called him an opioid, which is kind of a weird thing to say about a person … [and] behind the scenes … calling him Hitler, right? … I actually watched this exact same process with somebody else I got to know in my days in the Midwest, which was, my former governor, Mike Pence, who I watched start out as an evangelical Christian who cared about rectitude and family values and then get on board with a guy who was mixed up with a porn star, make excuses for him so that he could have power. He got four glorious years, I guess, as Vice president of the United States. And it ended on the west front of the Capitol with [The Felon] supporters proposing that he be hanged for using the one shred of integrity he still had to stand up to an attempt to overthrow the government. So I guess, maybe not as a politician, but as a human being, what I’ll say is that I hope things work out a little bit better for JD Vance than it did for him.”

The good news is that JD Vance won’t get into the White House, except maybe as a visitor with a very limited pass.

Matt Walsh, self-avowed Christian nationalist and Daily Wire host, proving again that Christian Nationalists are just racists:

“We all know what would happen if Olympic athletes celebrated and gloated over an all-white podium. “We know the reaction if the silver and bronze medal were won by white people and they bowed to the gold medalist in part to celebrate the fact that he was also white. Like, we all know how that would go. If we would say that Olympians were racist for cheering an all-white podium, we must say the same about Olympians cheering an all-Black podium. Those are the rules, which means I’m afraid that Simone Biles is a horrendous bigot. She is a racist, and she owes America an apology. Those are the rules, and she should be expected to follow them the same way that she’d be expected to follow them if she was white.”

Hey, Racist? How many podiums at the Olympics, throughout the years have been all-white? Yeah, so an all-Black podium is a new thing, a different thing, and maybe a chance for young girls and boys of color to think they could do that, too.

God is watching you Matt, and She thinks you’re a racist and a moron, and should stop pretending to be one of Her followers.

Sean Hannity, Fox News hack, on Tim Walz’s wife Gwen:

“Walz’s wife, the first lady of Minnesota, was basking in the violence, you know—opened all the windows to their home so she could smell burning tires and rejoice in the resistance and get this, according to the Senate Committee report, around the same time the National Guard was finally being mobilized and starting to arrive in Minneapolis, well, according to this report, the governor’s daughter was given access to confidential information that she then disseminated to the general public and rioters. Might want to check that out.”

Just remember that Fox “News” paid out nearly a billion dollars in a lawsuit in which they admitted they were not a news organization, but an entertainment channel.

So Sean can go fuck himself.

photo

Harris Faulkner, another so called “:news” host on  Fox, on Taylor Swift having an opinion:

“Two things about this: the tickets are extremely expensive to go see her. I know, because you know my Bella’s 16th birthday, that’s what she wanted. She is a huge Taylor Swift fan. And if we are going to pay that much money as consumers, you don’t need to serve up politics for that. It’s divided us as a nation, why can’t you go to a concert without that? She can vote any kind of way she wants, she can talk about it offstage, but when people pay to see you, just perform.”

So now Harris Fuckner thinks she can tell anyone what they can say, when they can say it, and where they can say it?

Bitch, please, sit down, your stupid is stunning.

photo

DonOld, speaking at a Fifth-Grade level to his merry band of fifth graders, on Fox Entertainment:

“Google, nobody called from Google. One of the things like doing a show like yours, your show, you know, you see it on Fox, but when you really see it is all over the place, they take clips of your show that you’re doing right now with me and if I do a good job, they’re gonna vote for me, they’re gonna vote for me because it’s not just on Fox, it’s on Fox is a smaller part of it. You’re on all over this, those little beautiful cell phones you’re on, you’re all over the place. You have a product, you have a great product. You have a great brand. So you have to get out, you have to do things like your show and other shows and Google has been very bad. They’ve been irresponsible and I have a feeling that Google is gone be close to shut down.”

Seriously, if anyone reading this can make sense of it, please tell us what he’s saying. Or call Sarah Palin because she’s an expert at Word Salads.

photo

Kayleigh McEnany, on Fox Not News, blathering about Tim Walz:

“This is a stunning choice. I imagine there’s a lot of cheering at Mar-A-Lago at the moment. Look, Tim Walz, he’s no one to scoff at. He unseated a six-term Republican in Congress. He won a conservative district. He began as a moderate. And then he had a radical transformation as soon as he got a trifecta in Minnesota; I think it is fair to call him a progressive in sheep’s clothing. When you look at his record over the last few years, what you see are transgender surgeries for minors. Carbon electrical grid by 2040, drivers’ licenses for illegal immigrants. In function, his abortion policy allows abortion until birth. These are policies that are far to the left of America. And as John McCormick at The Wall Street Journal pointed out, Kamala Harris has to do the exact opposite of what Tim Walz did. Tim Walz became more progressive. Kamala Harris is trying to become more moderate.”

And Kayleigh Mac-A-Ninny is still a lying POS.

photo

Tim Walz, on who he is as a human being and what he believes:

“I’m Tim Walz, a former geography teacher, and a retired Sergeant Major in the National Guard. I was a Congressman for twelve years and now Minnesota Governor. Here’s what I believe: who you want to marry is your choice. Women can be trusted to make their own health care decisions. Climate change is real and it’s in our best interest to move in that direction. And labor unions are at the core of what built the Middle Class.”

Simple, common sense and respect for all people; how is that a bad thing?

I Didn't Say It ...

Dwyane Wade, celebrating his 15-year-old trans daughter who just legally became Zaya:

"As your father, all I’ve wanted to do was get it right. I’ve sat back and watched how gracefully you’ve taken on the public scrutiny, and even though it’s not easy, I watched you walk out of that house every morning as yourself. I admire how you’ve handled the ignorance in our world. I admire what you face every day. As your father, my job isn’t to create a version of myself or direct your future, my role is to be a facilitator to your hopes, your wishes, and your dreams. Zaya, you’ve made me a better human just simply by being who you were born to be—a baby girl, Zaya Wade.”

That’s how it’s done; it’s not being woke, it’s being a parent and loving your child and standing with your child and letting your child become themselves in whatever way that means.

photo

Eric Swalwell, Democrat Congressman, taking asshat Matt Gaetz to task for having an accused murderer lead the Pledge of Allegiance:

“Mr. Gaetz wanted to offer an amendment to say the Pledge of Allegiance. That’s great. Every single person on our side supported that. Now, I don’t think he really genuinely cares about saying the Pledge of Allegiance, but he wanted to do it again to own the libs and to see if we would vote against it. We didn’t. But who did he bring in here to say the Pledge of Allegiance? Who did he parade in here? Someone he met at a gun club. Mr. Cicilline, you had the crazy idea that maybe we should vet the people who come in here, make sure they’re not insurrectionists. Mr. McClintock—I am not kidding you—Mr. McClintock said, ‘Well, it’s not like we’re gonna invite somebody who committed murder.’ No, he literally said that. ‘It’s not like we’re going to invite somebody who committed murder.’ Who did Mr. Gaetz bring? He brought Corey Beekman. Corey Beekman—in 2019—was in a standoff with the Michigan police. After, he was arrested and charged with murder, assault with intent to commit murder, and two counts of felony firearm possession. The family of the victims said Mr. Gaetz doing that, it was like getting a dagger stuck in our heart again. That’s why there’s a trust deficit here. You pull off a public stunt to try and own the libs, and what you did was you brought in the guy who allegedly shot two people and killed one of them. That’s where the trust deficit is. So you can play your games, conduct your stunts. We’re here to get shit done.”

Matt Gaetz is woefully inept at anything other than showboating and grandstanding and playing at being an elected official.

He’s a disgrace to Congress.

photo

Lance Gooden, Texas GOP Representative, attacking Democrat Representative Judy Chu because of her Chinese heritage:

“I question her either loyalty or competence. It’s not ‘xenophobic’ to question where her loyalty lies.”

Gooden also said that Chu should be barred from access to classified information.

Judy Chu was born in Los Angeles and as such is an American, but fuckwits like Lance Gooden don’t care about facts when there is bigotry to spread.

photo

Kellyanne Conway, talking to Sean Hannity … oh the irony … on Fox News, about liars:

“I want to challenge people watching tonight who don’t wear red hats, don’t consider themselves MAGA, don’t consider themselves very strong political people. I want to ask yourself how many times you’ve been lied to, not just by this government, but how many times have you been lied to by the people whose job it is to tell you the truth in the media all in the service of getting the president?”

Howsabout how many times you’ve been lied to by Thing 45 and Kellyanne ‘Alternative Facts’ Conway and Sean Hannity and Fox News and Tucker and Rupert and Laura and Jeanine and all the other basket of deplorables.

Oh, and Kellyanne? Kindly fuck all the way off.

photo

President Joe Biden, responding to Large Marge’s claim that he was responsible for deadly fentanyl overdoses that occurred during 2020 … when he was not the president:

“The interesting thing is, that fentanyl they took was during the last administration, and you know, a little bit more Marjorie Taylor Greene and a few more [lies], you’re gonna have a lot of Republicans running our way. Isn’t she amazing? Oof.”

Large Marge is the lying, treasonous, fool gift that keeps on giving.

photo

Harris Faulkner, Fox News daytime host, so we know she’s a liar, lying on TV to the family of a young man who died from a fentanyl overdose:

“You know what is remarkable about all of this, and I don’t mean in a good way, is how the president of the United States responded to your testimony that millions of people across the country with our hearts, with our spirits, who were right there with you, watched. President Biden for a moment discussed your family’s tragedy. He laughed at that. We have had people coming across that border drug cartels for quite some time. It has become a historic problem now. What do you say to the president of the United States?”

As Lying Harris Faulkner knows, President Biden was mocking Empty G’s blatant lie that those deaths occurred when he was in office … in 2020.

You’d think once the entre news organization and its owner admits to being liars, they should check and double-check, and then triple-check, and then, to cover their bases, say nothing at all.

photo

Jimmy Kimmel, comic and talk show host, about a report in Rolling Stone that said Thing 45 tried to pressure Disney to rein in Kimmel’s jokes about the traitor:

“In other words, President Karen demanded to speak to my manager, and you’d think the guy who fathered Eric and Don Jr. would know how to handle jokes, but I guess not. Wow, what a fragile little snowflake, [but] we have a First Amendment right that Americans a hell of a lot braver than [President Karen] died for and it’s especially hypocritical coming from someone who claims to be the biggliest anti-censorship defender of free speech.”

But he’s a widdoe snowflake who hates when people laugh at him, even if he is just a joke …

Random Musings

Ever have one of those days? I did on Monday when I just felt like something bad was about to happen ... it didn’t.

Still, that cartoon certainly fit my mood.
Well, apparently _____ is “enraged” by RussiaGate, which may explain why we haven’t seen him since he returned home from the G20 and we found out Junior is a lying sack of shiz.

Look at it like this:
His son was there.
His son-in-law was there.
His campaign manager was there.
It was in his building.
He was in the building.
And yet he expects anyone to believe he had no knowledge of the meeting, or that he was at the meeting?

::::cough::::bullshit::::cough::::
Jordan Cataldo, a teacher at Carter G. Woodson Elementary School, is accused of calling elementary school students “rats” that could “infest the class” as a group of children attempted to re-enter her classroom; she also said, and saying “that’s why their race is either dead or in jail.”

Yup. And she was teaching children.

Duval County Public Schools said it will “take appropriate action in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement when school resumes for the 2017-2018 school year.”

Um, appropriate action would be firing Jordan Cataldo’s ass and making sure she is never allowed to “teach” again. Anywhere.
I always visit Raybeard to get the skinny on movies because his reviews are spot on to the films I’ve seen, and the films I want to see after reading his reviews.

He gave Brooklyn a good review but it only played an arthouse theater about forty minutes from Smallville so we missed it. Luckily I was able to see it on cable recently because it’s a beautiful film; it looks beautiful, the acting—by Saoirse Ronan and Emory Cohen especially—is beautiful, the story is a simple, sweet, lovely, beautiful love story of an Irish girl finding herself, and love, in America in the middle of the last century.

It doesn’t make a lot of noise, but it gives quite an impact.
So, when _____ met Putin at the G20 last week for the ... ALLEGED ... first time, reporters filmed and photographed the two men before being ordered to leave the room.

Putin was caught on camera asking _____:
"These are the ones that insulted you?"
And _____ agreed with the man who stands accused of murdering journalists.

That’s our president ... for now.
So, we’ve been having a little car trouble and last week, after the Fourth, I stopped by the mechanic to make an appointment to have it checked. The shop was closed for a week-long holiday.

I told Carlos we’d have to wait until this week to take the car in and he promptly forgot all about it. So, Monday, as we were leaving for work, I said to him:
“Don’t forget I’m stopping by the mechanic today, and if they can take the car I’m going to leave it.”
Carlos said:
“I’ll make a mental note of it.”
I replied:
“The only problem with that is you write your mental notes in invisible ink.”
Thank you! I’ll be here all week!
Out there in The Dog’s Mother country, Washington State, that is, an anti-transgender measure failed to qualify for the ballot.

The failure is a victory for equality and validation of Washington’s non-discrimination laws that ensure fair and equal treatment for LGBTQ people in housing, employment, and public accommodations.

Snap. And #Resist.
So, I told you we saw Brooklyn, and part of its charm was the male lead, and love interest, Emory Cohen. His character was so sweet and kind and funny and cute that I wanted to marry him ... if I wasn’t already married.

And then we saw a new show about William Shakespeare, starring Laurie Davidson as Will. It’s an interesting show, though it could become gratingly and cloying cute and annoying, but, for now, Laurie Davidson is Eye Candy.

And then there’s Topher Grace—from That 70’s Show ... which I never watched because ... two words ... Ashton Kutcher—in the film Truth, the story about the Dan Rather scandal when he presented a piece on Sixty Minutes about George W. Bush’s rather sketchy military service ... the man never really served, but did apparently use his daddy’s wealth and power to get out of going to Vietnam. Rather and his producer were forced out of CBS after the story. Anyway, Topher Grace is very sexy ... and yeah, I can watch a movie about news and still ogle a sexy man.
In another display of the stupidity of Fox news commentators, Harris Faulkner said that Ivanka _____ deserved to be seated at the G20 because ...
“She [was] there in a capacity of someone who has run a very successful corporation and her items are selling by the way, hot online.”
Yup, because her rip-offs and knockoffs of shoes and handbags are selling, she deserves to be a part of a summit involving world leaders.

Oh, Fox News, you really, really are stupid.
Speaking of stupid ... Arkansas women may soon be forced to notify their sexual partner or family members if they want to have an abortion, thanks to a provision passed in the state's 2017 GOP-controlled legislative session.

Bad, right? But add this in ... if the man who impregnated the woman did so during the course of a rape, she would also need to notify him.

The GOP; screwing women, and women’s rights, again.
David Bancroft went to the Sand Dollar Lounge in Las Vegas recently and, well, was such a drunken mess that he was kicked out. Before leaving, as drunken messes do, he dropped several f-bombs at the staff.

Then he went home and took to Facebook to talk about getting kicked out of the bar—a straight bar—and called it a “gay bar” and said bouncers that bounced him were “fags.”

The next morning, in the light of sobriety, he deleted the post, but interwebz stuff never goes away, and so the bar’s owner, Anthony Jamison, shared Bancroft’s post and responded like this:
“Like accusing us of being a gay bar should be an insult.”

And then Jamison announced that the Sand Dollar will hold an LGBTQ party at the club on August 6 and that the profits from the party would go to the Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada.
“To use that platform to start blasting the community or blasting being gay is obscene, and for us to ignore it and let it go is wrong.”
Anthony Jamison also said they will name the party after Bancroft—who has since apologized for his rant—and will call it Davey’s LGBTQ Party.

Kudos Sand Dollar!
