Vote. Vote Blue. And Here's Why, AGAIN!

It’s been a few weeks since we checked in on the GOP and their special brand of bigotry and ignorance, so let’s dive right in …

NORTH DAKOTA

The state GOP voted last week to raise their own meal reimbursements to $45 a day. This happened less than two weeks after that same state GOP blocked a bill to provide free school lunches to low-income students.

Tell me again how the GOP is pro-family or pro-children.

 TENNESSEE

GOP lawmakers have expelled two Democrat Representatives, Justin Jones and Justin Pearson, from the House for taking part in a peaceful demonstration for gun reform that was staged in the aftermath of a Nashville school shooting that left six people dead. A third Democrat, Gloria Johnson, was barely saved from expulsion.

Of note, the two Democrats expelled were two Black men, while the white woman was saved.

FLORIDA

Ron DeSantis signed HB 543 into law this week that will allow Floridians to carry a concealed firearm without the need for a permit. People can now carry concealed firearms without going through the background screening and training that is currently required to have a concealed carry license.

More guns. Less control.

IDAHO

The state legislature has passed the nation’s first law that makes it illegal for minors to travel out-of-state to get an abortion without parental consent.

Idaho already has a near-total abortion ban in place but neighboring Washington and Oregon allow minors to get an abortion without their parent’s consent, so Idaho will restrict its residents from interstate travel for abortion access.

Why not just lock up all pregnant women until they give birth?

FLORIDA

A survey finds that among Florida’s incoming college freshmen, dissatisfaction with Governor Ron DeSantis’s education policies runs deep … deep enough in some cases to make them look for college opportunities in another state.

Intelligent.com surveyed over 1,000 Florida students, including 783 still in high school and 364 current undergrads and found that 91% of prospective college students disagree with the governor’s policies and that 1 in 8 graduating high school students won’t attend college in Florida due to education policy in the state.

Florida will become a ghost town save for the elderly and the fascists.

MISSOURI

The Missouri House has put forth new budget bills that would eliminate state funding for libraries across the state. The House Budget Committee has proposed to cut the entire $4.5 million budget slated for Missouri libraries last week after the American Civil Liberties Union [ACLU] filed a lawsuit to overturn a new Missouri law that bans “explicit sexual” images from all school materials, including library books. The law, passed last year, does not apply to written descriptions of sex or sexual acts; only photos, drawings, videos and other visual depictions are prohibited but librarians and other school officials face up to a year in jail or a $2,000 fine for violating the policy.

It might be easier just to ban all books.

MONTANA

Republicans in the state Legislature are trying to change the rules for next year’s Senate primary to make it easier to defeat Democrat Senator Jon Tester and win back the Senate majority.

A bill moving through the statehouse would change the structure of the election from the party primary system currently in place to a jungle primary in which the top two vote-getters advance to the general election regardless of party. The move would essentially box out Libertarian candidates who would likely vote Democrat ensuring a GOP victory.

If they can’t win fairly, they change the rules and cheat.

MISSOURI

State Attorney General Andrew Bailey has issued an emergency regulation regarding gender transition interventions on minors and launched a website to report allegations of malpractice at gender clinics in the state:

“It’s about protecting children for me. We’ve got to inject some sanity into this conversation. Gender is an objective reality defined by biology, in the same way that gravity is an objective reality. It is unhealthy to deny objective reality.”

He really only cares about cis gender children, to be fair. Trans kids are less than.

FLORIDA

As happens in fascist states, the rules are changed to enable the fascist to do as they please.

This week the Florida Senate scheduled a change via committee vote of the “Resign to Run” law.

This is certainly meant to allow Ron DeFascist to keep his job as governor should he fail in his attempt to take the White House in 2024.

ON THE UPSIDE …

SCOTUS

This week the U.S. Supreme Court refused to intervene in an ongoing case involving West Virginia’s law banning transgender girls from participating in girls’ sports teams at school. Conservative Justices Samuel Alito and the hopefully soon-to-be-impeached and removed from the bench Clarence Thomas dissented.

The court’s action came on its “shadow docket” so-called because decisions are made without full briefing or argument and decided with little or no explanation.

Some 19 states have enacted laws like West Virginia’s anti-transgender law but no appeals court has yet ruled on the question.

WISCONSIN

Last week voters gave control of the state’s highest court to liberals for the first time in 15 years after Milwaukee County Judge Janet Protasiewicz defeated former Supreme Court Justice Dan Kelly in a race that served as a referendum on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The tide is changing in Wisconsin; let’s hope that trend keeps moving forward.

NEW JERSEY

Democrat Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 326 establishing New Jersey as a safe haven for gender-affirming health care by directing all state departments and agencies to protect all persons, including health care professionals and patients, against potential repercussions resulting from providing, receiving, assisting in providing or receiving, seeking, or traveling to New Jersey to obtain gender-affirming health care services.

“Across the nation, we are witnessing attacks led by certain states that seek to undermine the equality, dignity, and safety of the LGBTQIA+ community, especially transgender and non-binary youth. As leaders, our greatest responsibility is ensuring that every person we represent, regardless of their gender identity or gender expression, is entitled to respect, fairness, and freedom. We will continue to uphold these principles in New Jersey and support every person’s right to live freely and authentically by making our state a safe haven for those seeking or providing gender-affirming health care.”

Finally at least one safe haven for our trans brothers and sisters.

Pay attention … vote … speak up … vote … because if we don’t all stand together one day all of this country will be like Florida and Tennessee and Missouri and Idaho, and the GOP and the traitors come for us all.

Vote. And Vote Blue. Here's Why ...

I’m still hearing in my head those GOP voices from last Fall who wanted your votes because of the border crisis and the fentanyl crisis and inflation and eggs and … and … then they won a slim majority in the house and suddenly all their care about legislating is drag queens, women, and guns.

SOUTH CAROLINA

A new bill has been introduced that suggests any woman who has an abortion get the death penalty. House Bill 3549 defines ‘person’ as an unborn child at any stage of development so any woman who chooses an abortion, making her own healthcare decisions, could be put to death in South Carolina.

TEXAS

Republican Representative Tony Gonzales is facing a censure vote from the state GOP for voting in favor of a bipartisan gun-control bill after the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School, in his district.

Gonzales wanted to stop these mass shootings—which occur every single day, often more than once each day, in the United Sates of Guns—that take the lives of children, and his own party condemns him.

TENNESSEE

Lawmakers passed legislation, which Governor Bill Lee signed into law, that limits where and when drag shows can take place. Drag shows will not be allowed to take place in public or in front of children.

Cuz drag queens read to children.

SOUTH CAROLINA

A Greenville woman was arrested and charged with performing or soliciting an abortion after telling medical personnel at St. Francis Hospital that she had taken abortion pills to end a pregnancy; South Carolina state law prohibits self-medication to abort a pregnancy.

Yes, again, making her own healthcare decisions resulted in a woman being arrested.

TENNESSEE

State Representative, and Republican, because, of course, Paul Sherrell  is apologizing after suggesting the state’s death row inmates be executed by “hanging by a tree” … lynching.

Never mind Tennessee’s long history of lynching …

TEXAS

GOP state Representative Nate Schatzline, author of a bill to restrict drag performances, dressed in drag himself while a student in a video that shows him skipping, running and dancing in a black sequined dress and red eye mask.

The hypocrisy does not go unnoticed.

WASHINGTON DC

Republicans spent the last few weeks bashing the Biden administration for what they call a slow response to the Ohio rail disaster, and yet last week some GOP lawmakers urged their colleagues not to rush out laws putting new strictures on freight rail.

Like mass shootings, these toxic spills are not the time to talk about restrictions.

FLORIDA

A proposed bill restricts usage of single-sex facilities to genders assigned at birth. Proposed by Republican, because, of course, Erin Grall, the bill would ban people from “willfully entering” such a facility designated for “the opposite sex.” Violators could face second-degree misdemeanor charges and fines of up to $10,000.

For wanting to use the bathroom that aligns with their gender.

MISSOURI

The state’s GOP-led House has voted against banning minors … children … from openly carrying firearms on public land without adult supervision by a 104-39 vote.

Children allowed to openly carry weapons! What could possibly go wrong …

On the Other Hand …

GEORGIA

A watered-down version of a “Don’t Say Gay” bill has failed in a crucial Senate committee. While the first version restricted schools, camp counselors and other authority figures from answering children’s questions about gender identity or sexual orientation, the newest version required all private schools or camps that planned to instruct children on issues of gender identity to get parental signatures first.

A small step in the right direction.

MICHIGAN

The state’s newly passed anti-discrimination law will continue to protect LGBTQ+ people; efforts to amend the legislation to add religious orientation, religious identity and religious expression as additional protected classes failed.

Another step forward … yet the march goes on.

If you don’t vote, this will be America, where women will be jailed or put to death for having an abortion; where drag shows are more dangerous to children than guns; where children will carry weapons; where our trans brothers and sisters will be charged and fined for using a bathroom that aligns with their gender; where toxic spills and chemical dumps that ravage whole towns will be the norm; where people will once again hang from trees.

If this is not the America you want, then do something.

Speak up when someone suggests trans is a crime.

Speak up when people say killing women is a solution to abortion.

Speaks up when poisoning our environment is business as usual.

Speak up when a state says children can, and should, be allowed to carry weapons.

Speak up and …

The Bad and The Good ... Tuesday June 7, 2022

These really are the easiest posts to compile because there are dumb people everywhere and it seems they are all trying to out-dumb one another with fear and loathing, but there are some bright spots, and given this is Pride Month, it’s especially nice there most are LGBTQ+ … so here goes:

MASSACHUSETTS

Rayla Campbell, the GOP nominee for Secretary of State, said this at the state Republican convention:

“You can’t just sit and say, ‘Oh, that’s terrible. Maybe somebody else will take care it. Oh, that’s not so nice.’ Well, I don’t think it’s so nice when [teachers are] telling your five-year-old that he can go suck another five-year-old’s dick, do you? This is what they’re doing!”

And uttered without a shred of proof.

MISSOURI

GOP Representative Billy Long, a candidate for Senate, has a bizarre new plan to get Thing 45 reinstated to office.

He says that he will get Vice President Kamala Harris to resign, and then he have President Biden appoint Thing 45 as vice president, and then have Biden himself resign, putting Thing 45 first in line to ascend to the presidency.

Seriously, he thinks this might work.

LOUISIANA

The Louisiana House approved two anti-abortion bills that restricts access to abortions.

One makes it a crime to sell abortion pills through the mail, while the second closes every abortion clinic in the state, criminalizes most pregnancy termination actions, and sends physicians who perform the procedures to prison.

I really want the mistress of just one GOP politician to come forward and talk about the abortion she had at the behest of her anti-abortion lover.

OHIO

House Republicans passed a bill to ban all transgender students from playing high school and college sports and requires a genital exam in any disputes.

These pigs voted on this bill on the first day of Pride Month.

Hate.

TENNESSEE

Stewart Parks is a GOP candidate for Congress and wants y’all to know that if he’s elected Pride celebrations are done.

“If you elect me, this month will be the last National Gay Pride month ever celebrated. We need to elect people into US congress that will stand up and say Homosexuality and Transgenderism are evil. I will push to have the 2015 Obergefell vs Hodges ruling overturned which legalized same sex marriage … We have to ban it asap and safeguard our children against it. We have to get Transgenderism out of our schools. When I win this election everyone will know their gender again.”

Stew seems a little too enthralled with being gay or trans. I think he has a secret …

GOOD

AMERICA

The Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal from Boozy and Clod, AKA Mark and Patricia McCloskey, that St. Louis couple who waved guns at a Black Lives Matter protest outside their home in 2020. They are both facing an indefinite suspension of their law licenses.

Sorry, not sorry.

NEW JERSEY

Students and faculty at Passaic Preparatory Academy rallied to show their LGBTQ+ pride after a school board policy prevented them from hoisting a rainbow Pride flag on the flagpole in front of the school.

After students at Passaic Preparatory Academy raised the flag last June for Pride Month, the Board of Education, realizing there was no policy covering which flags could be flown, worked to change that policy into one that allows only an American flag, a New Jersey state flag, or a school flag to be flown.

So, what did the students do? Well, since the law says you cannot fly a Pride flag on the flagpole, the students opted instead to hang Pride flags in every single window, and on every wall in the school.

This is how you do it.

UTAH

The state’s GOP Governor Spencer Cox issued a proclamation marking June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month and calling on Utahns to be more welcoming and accepting of the community:

“This should not be controversial. There should be nothing controversial about supporting a group of people in our state who have historically felt marginalized.”

Cox may be the only Republican governor in the entire country to issue such a proclamation; last year, he issued a similar proclamation, becoming the first Utah governor to officially acknowledge Pride Month.

Good on this Governor.

CALIFORNIA

Years back the Los Angeles Dodgers mistreated Glenn Burke, the first out gay player in Major League Baseball history; this week the team will be honoring Burke’s legacy and his family at its 9th annual Pride Night.

In 1978, the Dodgers traded Burke to the Oakland Athletics because the Dodgers’ general manager, Al Campanis, disapproved of his homosexuality. Campanis ALLEGEDLY tried to hide Burke’s sexuality from the public by offering him $75,000 to get married, to which Burke incredulously replied, “To a woman?!??”

It was particularly insulting to Burke as he had a solid rookie season and helped the team advance to the 1977 World Series. During his time with the Dodgers, Burke was also credited with inventing the high-five as a congratulatory gesture with teammates.

Burke’s stint with the Oakland A’s didn’t go much better after the team’s manager Claudell Washington introduced him to the team with:

“Oh, by the way, this is Glenn Burke. And he’s a faggot.”

Some teammates avoided showering with Burke, and he was released from his contract and sent to a minor league team in Ogden, Utah. After Burke left the sport entirely he moved to San Francisco and played on gay teams, but later fought addiction and died of complications related to HIV in 1995.

Over 40 of Burke’s family and friends are expected to attend the event. During the event, the Dodgers will take a moment to officially honor Burke and the players will wear custom rainbow ballcaps.

Think of how different this all might have been if professional sports wasn’t such a hotbed of homophobia.

Congratulations, Glenn, I’m giving you a high-five right now.

Remember, We The People have to make the Good News happen by speaking up and standing up and shouting out and voting to remove those people from office who are out to harm women, People of Color, and the LGBTQ+ community in their quest to take this country backwards.

Not to mention the NRA lapdogs and asshats.

They're Everywhere ... Monday March 14, 2022

These really are the easiest posts to compile, because, literally, they're everywhere ... but that's what makes it so frightening.

MISSOURI

GOP state Representative Brian Seitz has introduced a bill that would ban the termination of ectopic pregnancies.

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants and grows outside the uterus, most often in the fallopian tube, and can be life-threatening for the mother if left untreated; in addition, the fetus cannot survive to be carried to term.

But Seitz’s bill, if passed into law, would make performing, inducing or attempting to perform or induce an abortion for such a pregnancy a class A felony carrying a sentence of up to 30 years in prison.

Woman of Missouri, is this what you want? A man telling you what to do with your body when he clearly has no idea what he’s talking about?

CAST A GODDAMNED VOTE.

FLORIDA

The GOP-controlled Florida Senate approved legislation—dubbed the ‘Stop Woke Act—to limit how workplaces and schools teach race and identity. The measure prohibits trainings that cause someone to feel guilty or ashamed about the past collective actions of their race or sex, and its passage clears the way for Governor Ron DeathSantis to sign one of his top legislative priorities into law.

Stop Woke is also known as The White Fragility Act on this here blog.

MARYLAND

GOP US Senator Ted Cruz visited the “People’s Convoy” in Maryland last week, even riding in the lead vehicle and waving to protesters.

I mean, other than running off to Cancun last year when Texas got too cold for Rafael, is there any other way to show that he has the tiniest dick in Congress than by climbing abroad a big rig and waving like a QAnon puppet.

Texas, really?

GEORGIA

Days before a key legislative deadline, Georgia’s GOP state senators have proposed their own ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill to deter teachers from discussing sexual orientation and gender identity in the classroom.

While the bill stands little chance of passing this late in the legislative session, it does show how bigotry and hatred are working their way around the nation.

Still a note to the GOP asshats: you may stop people from saying Gay, but you will never stop people from being Gay.

IDAHO

The Idaho House of Representatives passed a bill that could lead to librarians being prosecuted for checking out materials that are deemed harmful to minors. If this bill—ironically, it is House Bill 666—passes into law, it would remove an exemption that protects libraries, schools, museums, colleges and universities and their employees for “disseminating material that is harmful to minors.”

GOP state Representative Gayann DeMordaunt sponsored the bill and said it is necessary to protect children from what she described as pornography and obscene material she said has seen making its way into libraries where children can access it.

Idaho needs a Don’t Say Gayann bill.

ALABAMA

GOP Governor Kay Ivey has signed a bill that eliminates the requirement of a state permit to carry a concealed handgun.

Yep, no permit required; anyone can carry a gun, anywhere, anytime, ever. Ivey says:

“Unlike states who are doing everything in their power to make it harder for law abiding citizens, Alabama is reaffirming our commitment to defending our Second Amendment rights. I have always stood up for the rights of law abiding gunowners, and I am proud to do that again today."

I guess by ‘law abiding citizens ‘ she means the ones that shoot up schools and churches and Walmart and movie theaters.

Of note: you need a license to drive a car but a gun? Not so much.

TEXAS

Ed Young, the pastor of the multi-site Fellowship Church in Texas, said in a sermon Sunday there are levels of hierarchy in Heaven and warned Christians who do not use their spiritual gifts to serve God’s kingdom will not be elevated to a higher position when they die.

In other words., make sure you give a bunch of money to Ed Young ort else God will smite you.

Fucking Faux Christian.

FLORIDA

Negotiations between the state Senate and House of Representatives, both controlled by the GOP, broke down, with the two sides unable to agree on a bill that would require inspections of aging condo buildings and mandate that condo boards conduct studies to determine how much they need to set aside for repairs.

Florida Republicans did manage to find the time to create new laws attacking LGBTQ+ citizens, voting rights, women, and educators, but “ran out of time” to stop fatal building collapses.

That’s Flori-duh in a nutshell.

TENNESSEE

Republicans in the Tennessee Senate voted to confirm Jordan Mollenhour,  Governor Bill Lee‘s nominee to the State Board of Education, despite Mollenhour being involved in a lawsuit related to his online ammunition business, Lucky Gunner, selling ammunition to a 17-year-old who shot and killed ten people and wounding another 13 at a Texas high school in 2018. The company was also sued for selling over 4,000 rounds of ammo to the man who fatally shot 12 people at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, in 2012.

Jeff Yarbro, the Democratic Minority Leader of the Tennessee Senate said:

“There are nearly 7 million people in Tennessee surely to God the governor could have found one state board of education nominee who’s not in ongoing litigation about illegally selling ammunition used in a deadly school shooting.”

Mollenhour, who currently represents one district on the Education Board, sailed through his confirmation hearing: 26 of 27 Republicans voted to confirm. One abstained. All six Democrats voted against. The Tennessee House also has to confirm Mollenhour. The vote is scheduled for today.

IDAHO

The Idaho House of Representatives passed legislation to make it a crime punishable by life in prison for a parent to seek out gender-affirming health care for their transgender child.

GOP Representative Bruce Skaug says his bill is necessary because minors are too young to make life-altering decisions about their bodies.

The bill cleared the Idaho House by a vote of 55-13, and now heads to the Senate, where Republicans hold a 28-to-7 majority over Democrats.

Putting parents in jail for life because they love and accept their trans children.

Fuck off Idaho.

Get educated and save yourselves from The Stupids.

Racist Karen, AKA Kathy Jenkins, Tries To Take Us For A Spin

Earlier today I posted about a Missouri woman who went to a Black Lives Matter protest outside a Dixie Outfitters, whose owner is ALLEGEDLY affiliated with the KKK. While there, and cradling a Confederate flag she shouted to the BLM group:
“I will teach my grandkids to hate you all! I will teach them to hate all you people. KKK belief.”
Well, that woman is Karen Jenkins who became a viral sensation when a video of her hatred stormed the internet. And it took a nanosecond for someone to identify her and then perhaps another second for that storm to rain down on her.

Kathy says she’s been locked out of Facebook—shoot, how will she know when the next Klan Wives meeting is—and fired from her job—poor racist doesn’t work for a KKK company?—and says she’s been the target of a few threats and even her friends are being threatened. Now, that’s not cool; threats are not cool. But, as for the rest, I’m so sorry, but I’m not sorry. You got what you deserved Kathy.

Sadly, though, Kathy Jenkins is not finished, and is saying the whole thing was a mistake, and taken wrong and she didn’t mean what she said and … and … and … racist needs an excuse.

In that video, Kathy Jenkins is in the bed of a pickup truck holding, and dancing with, a Confederate flag, but Kathy says the video doesn’t show the whole thing. No sir, she says before someone started recording her, she was … wait for it … it’s rich … racist thinks we’re all stupid … she says she was “chanting Black Lives Matter.”

While waving a Confederate flag? Bitch, please.

Kathy Jenkins says she was only at the Dixie Outfitters to watch the BLM protest because she’d never been to one and just wanted to see it. But, then again, the Confederate flag, Kathy? Have you never seen one of those before, so you just wanted to hug it and dance with it?

It gets better; Kathy Jenkins says she was standing in the back of a truck that belonged to someone she did not know, and that someone she did not know handed her a Confederate flag, and that she doesn’t fully know what it represents but thought it was a symbol of … wait for it … it’s rich … racist thinks we’re all stupid … a symbol of unity.

Bitch. Please!

And she says she only spewed her Hate Speech when BLM people from the other side of the street approached her, and she lost her temper:
“I hadn’t said anything until they came into my face … it’s like I blacked out. I don’t even remember saying half the stuff that I said.”
Hate, Kathy, it was hate.
“I wasn’t saying I’m KKK or for the KKK. I was mocking them because I don’t like being called a racist.”
Now, why would anyone think a woman standing in the back of a truck in front of a business owned by a KKK supporter and holding the Confederate flag was racist?

But since that story didn’t go over to well, and she’s probably desperate to get back on Facebook, she’s apologizing and vowing to never hold another Confederate flag again, as God is her witness:
“As many of you know I am Kathy. I just wanted to start with saying that I am truly deeply sorry for what I said. This isn’t who I am as a person. I obviously cannot take back what I said. I can only learn from this. I want to make it clear. I am not teaching my children or grandchildren to hate anyone. No one. Ever. I’ve always taught them to respect and love anyone no matter the race. I’ve always taught them to treat people with the same respect as they would want to be treated. My words and actions have been a learning experience. Not only did I learn from this, but I hope this message helps others that they cannot take back what they have said. Again I am so so sorry because that is not who I am.  I would never ever want to see anyone hurt and I don’t care who they are.”
Sorry Kathy, I’m not buying it. You didn’t know what a BLM protest was about, but you stood with Klan members and Confederate flag waving haters?

You thought the Confederate flag was a symbol of unity, but unless you had you hood on backwards and couldn’t see, then you’re just another racist who got caught and is trying to lie your way out of it. But, please note, Kathy is also wearing a Make America Great Again cap; just sayin’.You know, cuz some of them are very nice people, as _____ says.

You say you spewed hate because you didn’t know what you were saying, but, Kathy, if you didn’t feel that hatred in your heart, you never would have let those words leave your mouth.

You’re a racist Kathy. Own it.

Bobservations

A few weeks ago, I told y’all about Carlos’ outrage at the Charmin bears quibbling over who is to pick up the underwear on the bathroom floor because, as he shrieked:
“They’re naked!!”
Now he has a new target … the Liberty Mutual Emu, AKA the LiMu Emu. It seems in one commercial the emu’s human partner is motoring the duo across the desert on a motorcycle with a sidecar. Carlos grows incensed, because as they are spreading across the sands, the human partner’s tie is not flapping in the wind.

He had no issue with an emu in the sidecar of a motorcycle, but a non-flapping tie sends him over the end.

Oy, mi Madre.
While he generally likes most people, and is not at all skittish, Tuxedo, like his daddy, has an extremely low tolerance for stupid.

Oops, who saw this coming?

After thousands of people visited Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, over Memorial Day weekend, there are now new cases exploding across the state.

Hope they all had a good time, and hope there’s a bed at the hospital for them.
Oh, and don’t look so smug Wisconsinites.

Two weeks after your GOP-controlled Supreme Court struck down Democratic Governor Tony Evers’ stay-at-home order, there are now a record number of COVID-19 deaths and new cases for you.

Hope that beer at the bar was worth it, asshats.
Oscar Isaac, My-Husband-In-My-Head, recently appeared on Twitter in a mask and a Joe Biden hat and people went nuts. I mean, the mask they were pissed off about, but he had the audacity to also wear that cap!

Personally I was furious I couldn’t see his gorgeous face, but anyway … for you asshats that are pissed that Oscar has and wears a Biden hat, I hope you equally pissed at the MAGA-hat wearing morons storming state buildings to protest a deadly pandemic.

But I doubt you’re that bright. And heeeeeeere's Oscar ....

Speaking of stupid … I was going to post this in tomorrow’s I Didn’t Say it, but I chose to use that post for real people with real feelings and raw emotions. Still, we need to know what an absolute racist idiot and goose-stepping Nazi for _____ that is Laura Ingraham.  Let’s listen …my commentary is in red:
“Now, I’m not going to pretend for a millisecond to know what it’s like to be a black person in America [Bitch, you don’t know what it is to be human in America]. I don’t, but the only thing I do know is that we all need to do better. It’s important that we also push back against the notion that all police officers can never be trusted [No one is saying all police officers, no one] or that America—just at its core—is some caldron boiling over with pure racism and inequality [Ah, but it is, Blanche, it is, and your ilk spreads that racism every time you open your yap]. … And to our African-American fellow citizens, I say this: Given his own experience with an out-of-control FBI and unfair investigation, given all the work on criminal justice reform, President _____ knows how poisonous and out-of-control law enforcement process can be.”
I’ll stop her there because she is actually suggesting that a millionaire—he’s no billionaire—white racist president knows the same feeling of police brutality as a black man in America? And a black man, among many, who was murdered in America?

Oh, Laura. Fuck all the way off.
While the evangelicals cheer him on because all the right people are being murdered in this country, it’s nice to see a man take on the Racist In Chief.

After teargassing and firing rubber bullets into a crowd of peaceful protestors so he could hold up a Bible in front of a church. The next day _____ visited a shrine honoring Pope John Paul II, and one man, Archbishop Wilton Gregory, was not having it:
“I find it baffling and reprehensible that any Catholic facility would allow itself to be so egregiously misused and manipulated in a fashion that violates our religious principles, which call us to defend the rights of all people even those with whom we might disagree.”
That’s the polite way of saying to _____, you, too, can fuck all the way off.
A new CBS News/YouGov poll shows that most people agree that the Racist-In-Chief favors white people.

Not surprising, really, except that 58% of Republicans agree that he’s pro-white.

The poll didn’t say how many of those 58% agree with ____, but I’m guessing it’s around 58%.

Sorry Republicans, if you stand by a racist and support a racist, you’re a racist.
Out there in Iowa, the people voted in the GOP primary and voted asshatted, homophobic, racist, white supremacist, Nazi, Klansman Steve King out of office after nine terms.

Good. Bye.
We watched The Girl in the Spider’s Web the other night. It was kind of like a female James Bond, but one thing that made it interesting was that Claire Floy played the badass; and this was right on the heels of her playing Elizabeth II in The Crown.

The other two good things about the movie were Lakeith Stanfield, top—I’m assuming—as a hot nerd and sharpshooter, and  Sverrir Gudnason, bottom—perhaps—as a journalist.

Eye candy and Lizzie as a badass? Please.
