Today In Hypocrisy: Exxon CEO Comes Out Against Fracking Because It Affects His Property

Rex Tillerson is the CEO of ExxonMobil, and, as part of his job — for which he is paid over forty million annually — he promotes hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, a controversial drilling technique which may contaminate water supplies, deplete fresh water from the ground, degrade air quality and even cause earthquakes.

But hey, it’s a job and, again, he makes millions doing it so what does he care, right?

Oh, but Rex Tillerson does care, y’all, because his own $5 million property value might be harmed, and so ExxonMobil CEO Rex. Tillerson has joined a lawsuit that cites the dangers of fracking in order to block the construction of a 160-foot water tower next to his Texas home. Fracking is good when it makes money to line his pockets; fracking is bad when it comes to his neighborhood.

The water tower in question would supply water to a nearby fracking site, and the plaintiffs — including Tillerson — argue that the project would cause too much noise and traffic from hauling the water from the tower to the drilling site.

Now to be fair, and we’re always fair here at ISBL :::snicker::: while Rex Tillerson’s name is on the lawsuit, his lawyer says Tillerson’s main concern is about the devaluation of his property, not fracking … specifically.

But what makes me giggle is that, while acting as Big Oil CEO, Tillerson touts the virtues of fracking, and lashes out at its critics and proponents of regulation, but as a homeowner of a multi-0millioin dollar property that is located near a fracking site, he is less than thrilled.

Isn’t it funny, or hypocritical, or pathetic, or sad, or infuriating, that this rich mother-effer can endorse fracking when it affects you and me, but when it comes near his house suddenly its bad? It seems to me Rex Tillerson, by virtue of adding his name to this lawsuit, has become the most outspoken critic of fracking, and thereby the most hated enemy of, well, Rex Tillerson.

On a funny side note, Congressman Jared Polis has extended a welcome to Tillerson to join the fracking critic club:
“I would like to officially welcome Rex to the ‘Society of Citizens Really Enraged When Encircled by Drilling’ [SCREWED]. This select group of everyday citizens has been fighting for years to protect their property values, the health of their local communities, and the environment. We are thrilled to have the CEO of a major international oil and gas corporation join our quickly multiplying ranks.”
Rex Tillerson; corporate greed at its worst, with more than a soupçon of hypocrisy thrown in. Still, I hope he starts buying bottled water, and shoring up the manse against any tremors.

Asshat of the Week: ExxonMobil

Last week President Obama announced that he will soon issue an executive order extending essential workplace protections to the LGBT employees of federal contractors, and suddenly everyone was eyeing ExxonMobil Corporation — a Fortune 100 corporation and one of the nation’s largest federal contractors.

See, ExxonMobil has — for the last nearly twenty years — resisted instituting non-discrimination protections for its LGBT employees, even though most other Fortune 500 companies treat these kinds of protections—like not being fired just because you’re an L, a G, a B, or a T — as a rule of thumb. So, folks were wondering what ExxonMobil was going to do in the face of Obama’s announcement and it turns out that they’ve decided to lie.

In a statement ExxonMobil is now claiming it has “a longstanding policy that strictly prohibits any form of discrimination by or toward employees, contractors, suppliers and customers in any ExxonMobil workplace. Our global, zero-tolerance policy applies to all forms of discrimination, including discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.”

Lie.Lie.Lie.

Human Rights Campaign [HRC] Vice President for Communications Fred Sainz:
“Put bluntly, this statement is a lie. ExxonMobil’s Equal Employment and Opportunity Policy has clearly and consistently omitted enumerated LGBT non-discrimination protections for its personnel. Though their statement sounds like it’s taking a very progressive stand, it is in fact a master class in doublespeak — crafted, no doubt, by a team of well-paid lawyers. Until a nondiscrimination policy is enumerated, it isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.”
Let’s go back to facts, something ExxonMobil thinks they can hide: in the last 17 years, ExxonMobil’s shareholders have voted 17 times to kill non-discrimination protections for ExxonMobil’s LGBT personnel — and did it again last month.

And let’s go back further, because when Exxon merged with Mobil in 1999, the newly formed company immediately rescinded domestic partner benefits that had previously been offered to Mobil’s LGBT employees.

In fact, ExxonMobil’s blatant disregard for its LGBT employees has earned it the only negative score in the 12 year history of HRC’s Corporate Equality Index.

Asshats trying to rewrite history, to rewrite lies. I mean, rather than, say, oh I dunno, change their minds after all these years, they’re simply going to lie about policies they do not have in place.

ExxonMobil does not now, nor has it since merging ion 1999, given a rat’s ass about the LGBT community and I think, if you don’t already, we should return the favor.

Random Musings

The bathroom is coming along … slo-o-o-wly. It seems we can really only work on it over the weekends and every weekend we have something else that needs doing, or we have plans, or, well, we’re just lazy. But I have done the pin-striping along the walls and, if I do say so myself, it looks darn nice.

Here’s my tutorial [click to emBIGGERate:

Paint the walls the color of choice; mine was a dark gray, almost black. Then, lay out where the stripes should be drawn. This involves math and calculators and pencils and try-and-error. But I figured it out so that each of the four corners would be a space between stripes and then the walls would have equally spaced stripes on them.

Next comes the chalk-line, with Carlos holding on a mark near the floor and me, on a ladder — we have nine-foot ceiling so it’s hard — holding the line to the mark near the ceiling. Snap the line and voila!

Next came taping the lines, which I wanted to eyeball at about 1/8-inch wide, but I wanted them to not be perfect all though the room. I liked the more fluid nature of the lines that were 1/8-inch, then maybe narrowed a hair, and then came back to the original width.

After taping all the lines, you go back over the tape with the original wall color. This is done to prevent the lighter stripe color from bleeding under the tape; no matter how you press the tape down, you might get some bleed-through and this step solves that problem.

Finally, you apply the stripe color — I wanted a lighter gray — and paint the lines from floor to ceiling. Remove the tape and you have …

Pin stripes!

Carlos gave the “It’s too dark” speech and I told him I had a vision and we’d have to see it through before he played that card again.
The National organization for Marriage [NOM] got yet another smackdown this week, this time from the United Sates Supreme Court.

It seems NOM wanted to halt the recently legalized same-sex marriages in Oregon and had asked Justice Kennedy to do so. Kennedy, though, referred the issue to the entire court, and they all agreed to not get involved.

Snap! Smack.
Speaking of same-sex marriages, Melissa Etheridge had another one last weekend.
Etheridge married her partner of four years, Nurse Jackie creator Linda Wallem, and Tweeted that image of their happy day with this message:

True love…so blessed. ‘By the power invested in me by the state of California…’ Thanks‘ “

This Etheridge’s second wedding but her first legal marriage. She previously had a commitment ceremony with Tammy Lynn Michaels back in ’03, and that ceremony took place when same sex marriage was not yet legal in California.

Now, Etheridge is fully, legally married, and let’s hope this one sticks.

Juts sayin’, marriage is hard, gay or straight.
Bianca Del Rio is the Drag Superstar, thanks to her victory on RuPaul’s Drag Race, but her next step might just be movie star!

Bianca — AKA Roy Haylock — has begun crowd-funding a new film, Hurricane Bianca, teaming up with director Matt Kugelman for the new comedy, and wants our help to fund the movie.

Hurricane Bianca is a feature-length comedy about a New York teacher [Haylock] who moves to a small town in Texas, gets fired for being gay, and returns disguised as a mean "lady"[Bianca] to get revenge on the people who were nasty to him.

I think this could be truly hilarious, and, if you decide to donate to the film’s expenses, in return for your donation, Bianca and Matt are giving away some prizes, including the chance for an appearance on a web series called "Bianca Hates You."

OMG! Bianca could read you! Loving it, and hoping the film gets made.
In discrimination news this week, for the 17th time, Exxon Mobil shareholders have rejected a resolution that would have instituted new policy within the company to prohibit discrimination against LGBT workers.

Yeah, seventeen times they’ve voted for discrimination, with just 19% of shareholders voting against discrimination.

Just the reason I need to never get gas at Exxon, for the seventeenth year in a row, I might add.
When the previews for Maleficent came out a few months back, and I saw La Jolie done up as the evil one, I told Carlos we were seeing the film; and I told him every time I saw an ad after that until the film finally opened, and then I said we’d see it last weekend.

I.Loved.It.

Carlos.Hated.It.

I’ve buried him under the house. Sssssh.

I kid. He did hate it, because he wanted her to be more evil, and I explained that she ::::Spoiler Alert:::: wasn’t supposed to be evil, and that the film explained why she did what she did.

He still wasn’t having it; he wanted an unrepentant Maleficent a la Joan Crawford, I think.
In fact, he hated the movie so much he didn’t even comment once on the cute Prince Phillip, played by the totes adorbs Brenton Thwaites.

Someday my prince will come and … oh hell, who am I kidding? My prince came along fourteen years ago.
Last week I praised Justin Bieber for his $500,000 donation to amfAR, and then I heard that he made some kind of racist joke, using the N-word. I was not surprised, thinking the little turd is just that, a little racist turd, but then I heard that he made the stupid “joke” back when he was sixteen or seventeen, and so I kinda wanted to give him a pass because he was even dumber then, you know.

But now another video has surfaced where he’s changed the lyrics to one of his own songs, and sings about “lonely n*****s” and killing one so he can join the KKK.

His people say he was just reciting what he’d seen a comedian do onstage, but he can’t remember that comedian’s name or where he saw him.

I’d say these last two instances are just some extra nails in the coffin that was his career.

Here’s hoping.
Former presidential and senatorial candidate, and major asshat, Alan Keyes, who once compared same-sex marriage to nose-picking … huh… and claimed that it leads to totalitarian regimes … what? … is back and locked and loaded again.

He is now saying that gay sex "is not 'sexual' activity at all."

I’m saying he’s probably not doing it right.
Need another celebrity, a la Alec Baldwin, shouting homophobic slurs at paparazzi? Well, Jonah Hill is your man! After, he says, being followed and harassed by a TMZ paparazzo all day long, Hill finally shouted to the man:

"Suck my dick you faggot!"

You know the drill; it’s the worst thing you can call someone, the biggest insult. Gay = bad. But, and there’s almost always a but, Hill came out almost immediately and apologized, unlike Baldwin who played the ‘I’ve got gay friends’ card and the ‘I never said that’ card.

Jonah Hill:

"This is a heartbreaking situation for me...I'm upset...From the day I was born, and publicly, I've been a gay rights activist...This person had been following me around all day saying hurtful things. I played into exactly what he wanted and I said a disgusting word...It's bulls--t and I shouldn't have said that. I'm happy to take the heat for using this disgusting word. What I won't allow is for anyone - it would break my heart to think that anyone - especially with all the work that I've done and all the loved ones that I have - that I would be against anyone for their sexuality."

Well, that was more a Poor me, I’m really a nice guy speech and not really an apology, but then Hill apologized again:

"There was a paparazzi guy and he was antagonizing me and calling me names, attacking me personally, and my family personally, and I was genuinely hurt by this, and made angry by this, and in response, I wanted to hurt him back, and I said the most hurtful word that I could think of at that moment.

“You know, I didn't mean this in the sense of the word, you know? I didn't mean it in a homophobic way And I think that, um, that doesn't matter. How you mean things doesn't matter. Words have weight and meaning, and the word I chose was grotesque. And, you know...no one deserves to say or hear words like that. I've been a supporter of the LGBT community my entire life and I completely let the members of that community and everybody else down when I used a word like that...I'm genuinely and deeply sorry to anyone who has ever been affected by that term in their life.

“I don't deserve or expect your forgiveness, but what I ask is that at home, if you're watching this, and you're a young person especially; if someone says something that hurts you or angers you, use me as an example of what not to do, and don't respond with hatred or anger. Because you're just adding more ugliness to the world. I'm so sorry."

He could have stopped with I’m so sorry because that’s all we want; oh, and to never hear him say those things again.

I’m hoping Hill opens up a Celebrity Apology Center, offering free admission to Baldwin and Bieber to show them how you really, sincerely apologize.
The documentary How To Survive A Plague, detailing the early days of the AIDS crisis in America and the rise of militant gay groups like ACT UP, hit theaters last year but came nowhere near Smallville.

Luckily, though, it played on PBS this week and Carlos and I watched it. An amazing documentary that reminded me of things I’d seen, and of things I hadn’t—like AIDS activists throwing the ashes of their loved ones who’d died from complications of AIDS onto the White House lawn.

Powerful stuff.

Powerful stuff, seeing those men who have been given a death sentence and didn’t dare crawl away and hide, but rather stood up and demanded respect and treatment and fair access to medications.

Powerful stuff, watching these men being told they have AIDS and will soon be dead, not giving up, and then, years into the plague, finding relief in AIDS drug cocktails that helped them survive, though didn’t cure them.

I kept thinking what it must have been like to be told that you have AIDS and that you will die, and you reevaluate your life, reassess your choices, and become a fighter, knowing you are dying, only to have a reprieve in the form of new drugs How hard it must have been to go from living to dying back to living, with AIDS.

Heroes all; and all of us, infected or otherwise, owe those men, and women, gay and straight, a huge debt of gratitude for not just lying down and dying.
And then on the reverse side of the coin comes this …

In a discussion about a recent incident involving Brad Pitt where a crazed “fan” latched onto his groin, HLN host Nancy Grace regurgitated the 1977 pie attack on Anita Bryant, calling Bryant a "sweet lady" that reminded Grace of her mother.

Grace made no mention of Bryant’s voracious anti-gay crusades in Miami that spurred on the pie toss, and a guest on Grace’s show actually says maybe the pie thrower was jealous of Bryant’s beautiful voice.

Nancy Grace is a moron, I’ve always known that; a media whore who says anything if it gets her a shot on TV, but to call, a woman who clearly wanted gay people out of way, by whatever means, I might add, out of jobs, and homes, and out of Miami, sweet is the height of stupidity.

ExxonMobil Sticks To Its Anti-LGBT Policies

Sometimes, as we fight for equality, we get loud, and we get in your face, and we stomp and parade and demonstrate and get angry. But, sometimes, the best thing we can do is to close our wallets. I mean, do we eat at Chick-fil-A? I don’t—though I never did even before I knew about their anti-LGBT charity work. I also wouldn’t shop at florists who won’t work with gay clients, or bakeries that have a ‘thing’ about baking a same-sex wedding cake. And I won’t be buying gas, still, from ExxonMobil.

This week, once again, ExxonMobil shareholders voted down nondiscrimination protections for LGBT employees at their annual meeting in downtown Dallas by a vote of 81% to 19%. The 19% support for the resolution was reportedly the lowest ever. It marks the 14th consecutive year in which ExxonMobil shareholders have voted down an LGBT nondiscrimination resolution.

On behalf of the New York State Common Retirement Fund, George Wong presented the shareholders with the argument that ExxonMobil should recruit from and retain the widest possible talent pool, including those from the LGBT community.  Wong called it “unacceptable” that ExxonMobil also does not accept the validity of New York state marriage licenses if the employee is gay.

And Wong stressed that a failure to do that leads to less efficient business operations, and that most Fortune 500 companies have inclusive nondiscrimination policies, including most other major oil companies; most other major oil companies who will be getting my business.

ExxonMobil is the only company to ever receive a negative score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, which rates businesses according to policies and practices affecting the LGBT community. And, let’s also note that ExxonMobil used to have nondiscrimination protections for LGBT employees, as well as domestic partner health benefits, but that those protections were rescinded when the company merged with Mobil in 1999.

Cece Cox, Resource Center Dallas—an LGBT and HIV/AIDS service organization in North Texas—released a statement following the vote:
“The result of today’s vote by the shareholders of Exxon Mobil is sadly unsurprising. The company continues to incorrectly assert that it provides employment protections and an equitable workplace for its LGBT employees, and Exxon’s shareholders appear to believe that the company’s statement on a web page provides sufficient protections [but] the web statements fall short of true employment protections [and] the company refuses to budge. Exxon says it would comply with an executive order mandating LGBT employment protections for federal contractors if and/or when one is issued, and it is looking more and more likely that will be the only way to get the company to treat all of its employees equitably.”
And my wallet stays closed to ExxonMobil. Does yours?

ExxonMobil Shareholders: Still Anti-LGBT After All These Years

Well, this isn't really a surprise; it's nothing new, it's business as usual.
Last week ExxonMobil shareholders once again voted down a proposal to add LGBT employees to the corporation’s nondiscrimination policy. See, at ExxonMobil, if you're an L, a G, a B, or a T, you can be discriminated against, just because.
In fact, ExxonMobil are so horridly anti-LGBT that they voted 805 to 20% against the resolution asking the corporation to amend “its written equal employment opportunity policy to explicitly prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and to substantially implement the policy.”
The proposal has been introduced each year since Mobil and Exxon merged in 1999 and the highest level of support came in 2008 at nearly 40%.
“It’s disappointing, but this isn’t the end of the issue for us,” said Resource Center Dallas’ Rafael McDonnell, who has lobbied the company on the issue. “We’re going to continue to reach out and engage them.…I think the White House needs to go back and revisit this executive order.”
The proposed executive order would require contractors to include sexual orientation and gender identity in their nondiscrimination policies if they do business with the federal government, which  ExxonMobil does. However, President Barack Obama’s administration indicated earlier this year that he doesn’t plan to sign the proposed order anytime soon.
So, let the discrimination stand. And continue.
Back when the company was just Mobil, it was one of the first corporations in the world to include sexual orientation in its nondiscrimination policy and offer benefits to the same-sex partners of gay employees. But when it became ExxonMobil those policies were ended.
Meanwhile, ExxonMobil maintains the lowest possible rating on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, with a minus-25.
And that ain't about to change any time soon.
Luckily I have never bought gas at an ExxonMobil station, but I would certainly encourage everyone to boycott them until they drag their homophobic asses into the 21st century with the rest of us.

Random Musings

So, howsabout that Tea Party?
You know, "We The People".
No new taxes!
Well, that Teabagging/Republican led House of Representatives just raised taxes on the 99% of the American people while protecting the 1% with extended tax cuts.
Hey 'baggers?
You got egg on your face.

Exxon Mobil Corp. has made history.....for being virulently anti-gay in its employment  practices.
Last week Exxon Mobil--No. 2 on the Fortune 500 and has more than 80,000 employees worldwide--became the first business to ever receive a negative score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index. Exxon Mobil failed to meet any of the criteria for the 2012 Index, and actually had points deducted for engaging in activities that undermine LGBT equality.
Their HRC score? Minus-25.
On a more positive note, American Airlines--the airline of Baldwin.......I jest--is one of only nine companies that have received perfect scores every single year since the Index began in 2002. Others include, Aetna, Alcatel-Lucent, Apple, Eastman Kodak, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Nike, Replacements Ltd. and Xerox.

I stay away from commenting on the Jerry Sandusky, Rape-A-Boy Academy scandal, but sometimes, well, the things people say.....
His lawyer, in defending Jerry's habit of showering with, fondling, and raping young boys, offered this defense: "Some of these kids don't have basic hygiene skills. Teaching a person to shower at the age of 12 or 14 sounds strange to some people, but people who work with troubled youth will tell you there are a lot of juvenile delinquents and people who are dependent who have to be taught basic life skills like how to put soap on their body."
See, Jerry Sandusky ain't a pedophile, he's a hygiene teacher.
Seriously.

South Carolina's batshit crazy, lying, hypocritical, all-for-herself, and fuck the state, governor, Nikki Haley, has gone out on a limb and endorsed Mittsy Romney for president.
Haley, a Teabagger Darling, stayed away from endorsing any candidate that the Tea Party favors, like Michele "Wacknut" Bachmann, and instead chose Flipper Romney as her man.
Why, you ask?
Because Romney has a better shot at getting the nomination than any crazy-asshatted tea drinker, and Nikki Haley wants to hang her self-promoting ass on his star.
It isn't about the Tea Party, or South Carolina, or even Mitt Romney. It's about Nikki Haley doing what's best for Nikki Haley.
Fuck everybody else.

The Denver Gay Men's Chorus had a concert at the L2 Arts and Culture Center in Denver over the weekend, but you wouldn't know by looking at the marquee.
The word "gay" in the choir's name, deemed too inappropriate to be broadcast in bright lights, was instead replaced with three asterisks.
I guess in Denver, gay doesn't exist.

Carlos has taken up the trumpet again, and has been practicing most nights.
So........
Most nights I sit on the couch, holding pillows over my head.
I'm trying to drown out the cacophony, but I'm also afraid I'll suffocate.
Either way........
Just kidding Charlie!!!

Newt Gingrich, serial adulterer, told a gay man in Iowa to vote for Obama if he wants gay rights.
Oh, but we will, Newt, we will. I don't think any gay man and woman, or many men or women, would use a man who marries a woman, fucks around on her, then divorces her while she's battling cancer to marry his mistress, then fucks around on the mistress-turned-wife, and then marries that mistress, and then changes to Catholicism so he can have his first two marriages annulled, would look to you as the measuring dick, er, stick for what constitutes marriage.
But, I digress.
Scott Arnold, a Democrat, had an open mind about Newty, but wanted to know how Gingrich would represent him as president after all the things Newty has said about the LGBT community: “I asked him if he’s elected, how does he plan to engage gay Americans. How are we to support him? And he told me to support Obama. When you ask somebody a question and you expect them to support all Americans and have everyone’s general interest, it’s a little bit frustrating and disheartening when you’re told to support the other side. That he doesn’t’ need your support.”
He.Told.Me.To.Support.Obama.
And I will.

You Reject ME? I Reject YOU!

Once again, ExxonMobil steers way clear of equal rights for all their employees.

At this year's shareholders meeting just 22% voted in favor of adding sexual orientation to the company's nondiscrimination policy; that means, 78% of ExxonMobil shareholders deemed LGBT employees as "less than". This is a shift in the wrong direction, seeing as last year 40% were in favor of amending the nondiscrimination policy.

ExxonMovil is one of the few companies ranked by the Human Rights Campaign with a score of zero.

Before the merging, Mobil had a gay-inclusive nondiscrimination policy and domestic-partner benefits, but after the merger with Exxon those policies ended. As did any chance that I will purchase so much as a soft drink, much less gas, from any station with an ExxonMobil sign out front. They don't want to protect my rights in their company, I don't want their stinking gas in my tank.

Boycott ExxonMobil

ExxonMobil is pro-discrimination in the workplace.

For over ten years....ten years...a proposal to add sexual orientation and gender identity to ExxonMobil's official equal employment opportunity policy has been voted down by company shareholders. And while more and more people are voicing support for these protections, the proposal still fails.

Before merging with Exxon, Mobil included sexual orientation in its equal employment opportunity policy , but that wording was removed when ExxonMobil was formed.

ExxonMobil is living in the past. Over 85% of Fortune 500 companies include sexual orientation in their nondiscrimination policies--all Fortune 50 companies have it as part of their official policy--and more than 35% include gender identity.

But not ExxonMobil. The LGBT employee doesn't matter to them.

Seriously, People, STFU

Blago....Blagojevich....Rod....Roddy....Whatever.
So he was impeached, kicked out by a fully unanimous Senate vote on his lying cheating corrupt behind. But, hey, he showed up, you know; to resign with dignity? Silly people, of course not. That's not what we do these days. We don't say, Oops, my bad. I made a mistake. I did something wrong. I'll go now.
And we don't fight, either. If we think we're being railroaded, accused of a crime we did not commit, we don't stand up in front of our accusers and say, Here's what happened. Here's my proof. I am not a crook.
Nah, these days when you've done something wrong, you go on a publicity junket. You stop in to see Matt and Meredith; you talk to a TV image of Barbara Walters; you talk to Father Time, er, Larry King. Yet, still, you don't answer questions. Straight questions.
Did you say that Governor?
I haven't heard the full tape.
But did you say that?
And my favorite answer.
It was taken out of context.
So, Blago is gone, and he's taken his hair with him. Illinois is thrilled. I'd be thrilled, too, down here in Smallville, if he's just shut up and go away completely.
But I have a feeling a book is coming, or a documentary, and another round of TV tours.

Ted Haggard and his "wife" were on Oprah this week, and I, for one, was happy she stopped talking about her large behind or how she elected Barack Obama for a day.
Ted and the missus were on to discuss his being a big flaming, lying, crack head, closeted homo.....or, I mean, a heterosexual with issues.
Issues, Ted? Really. Honey, you have whole subscriptions.
As he talked my gaydar was pinging so loudly I could scarcely hear the television. He isn't gay, he says; he isn't bi, he says. He has tendencies.
Tendencies to have sex with men.
Which makes you a big lying queer, Ted. Because the last time I checked, truly straight men don't have tendencies to have sex with other men. Maybe once, in college, on a dare, after a few beers, but over and over again? Sorry, Teddy, that dog won't hunt. And don't blame it on your crackheadedness; lots of crackheads out there, lots of 'em men; but they ain't doing the bend over, grab your ankles and sing an aria for me, baby.
Now, the "wife" comes out. She says she knew of his "tendencies" when she married him; she knew he'd done things in his past. Then she says my favorite line, how we all have inclinations, but we don't all choose to act on them.
Excuse me. sister, but it isn't a choice: you chose, dear. You chose. To be a heterosexual woman married to a queer crackhead hate-spewing ex-pastor. And you chose to deny your husband's "inclinations" because you were living high on the homo-hog with all your minions donating to your church.
Seriously, Teddy and Gayle.
Shut the fuck up already.

Just a few words on this one.
Rush Limbaugh is a big fat drug addled ass.
He hopes Obama fails. He said that. "I hope he fails."
Can you imagine how much he would rant and rage if anyone said that about W, who did fail?
Rush would be so mad he'd scream, all of his chins wriggling, his drug dealers scampering to refill his prescriptions.
You're an idiot Limbaugh.
An unpatriotic racist fat-assed drug-addicted idiot.
_____________________________________________________________

And last but not least.
Exxon made 7.82 billion dollars in the last quarter of '08.
SEVEN.POINT.EIGHT-TWO BILLION DOLLARS.
Does that sound right to anyone except Exxon?
Home Depot is closing stores and laying people off.
Starbucks is closing stores and laying people off.
Linens'n'Things is just plain closing all it's stores.
Circuit City is bankrupt.
BestBuy is cutting jobs.
Kodak, too.
Even over at Disney/ABC they're cutting jobs.
But Exxon is raking in billions. In this economy, with the government bailing out banks; with people losing their homes.
Smells fishy to me.
