Vote Blue. Here's Another Slew of Reasons Why

Here we are again, with a wee taste of the lunacy, racism, criminality, and bigotry and hate inside the GOP …

GOP Senator, and Confederate statue, Mitch McConnell has admitted that Republicans will not help solve the border crisis with President Biden because it would make Biden look good and maybe help him win in November.

It’s not a surprise really, because the GOP rails about the border during election years and then says nothing, and does  nothing, at other times.

It’s not about solving the problem it’s about the GOP hoping to stay in power so maybe this time, maybe, we should vote them all out of office since they don’t want to work for the country that hired them.

Down in Mississippi, the Republicans are trying to make it impossible for the people of the state from voting on abortion rights.

House Concurrent Resolution 11 which, to be fair, is still several legislative steps from becoming law, would give citizens the ability to gather signatures to propose new state laws or change existing laws, but it bans the people of Mississippi from placing an issue on a statewide ballot about abortion.

I know it won’t happen any time soon, but the people of Mississippi need to clean House, and the Senate, in their state.

This week former GOP House chair Liz Cheney accused her successor Elise Stefanik of deleting a press release from 2021 condemning protesters who stormed the Capitol on January 6. In Stefanik’s 2021 press release, she condemned the “violence and destruction” on that day and called for the perpetrators to be prosecuted. And now she’s changed her tune and deleted the press release.

Elise Stefanik is trying to rewrite history because she hopes to be the Pussy Groper’s Veep.

In other Insurrection news, South Carolina Republican Nancy Mace was so angry at Hair Furor during the attack on the Capitol that she discussed with aides the prospect of confronting the rioters so she could get punched and become the face of anti-Thing 45 Republicans.

Seriously. Mace also declared to her staff during the riot that she was a “never-Trumper” while she was hiding with staff in her office on that day.

Then she said she supported him, and then she said she didn't.

The Oklahoma Republican Party approved a resolution condemning and censuring GOP Senator James Lankford because he was working with Democrats and President Biden to pass a bipartisan border deal.

The Oklahoma GOP is punishing a man for doing the work for which he was hired because he was working with Democrats while his own party sits on their hands and does nothing but complain.

But that's the GOP way.

Iowa Republican lawmakers have again proposed removing protections against discrimination for transgender people from the Iowa Civil Rights Act and this time a key committee chair, GOP Representative Steven Holt, is open to the conversation.

Think on that … they want to legalize discrimination; sure they’re starting with transgender Americans, but soon it will be the gay Americans, and then any other group that doesn’t fit the GOP straight white male agenda.

Also in Iowa, a new bill in the House of Representatives would make it a legal requirement for public school students and teachers in grades 1-12 to sing the national anthem every day. Physically able students would need to “stand at attention” and “remove any headdress that is not being worn for religious purposes.”

VOTE THEM OUT.

Florida GOP Representative, and sexual predator, Matt Gaetz was adamant that his move to oust former Speaker Kevin McCarthy was rooted in policy disagreements and not a personal vendetta related to the congressional ethics investigation against him.

But in private, Gaetz told a different story, that his effort to undercut, isolate, and ultimately remove McCarthy was payback for the ethics probe.

Matt Gaetz is still under investigation for being a sexual predator.

Last week Alabama Death Row inmate Kenneth Eugene Smith became the first prisoner to die using a new untested method of execution in the United States—suffocation by nitrogen gas.

Word has it that the new method takes several minutes to run its course and the prisoner is writhing and screaming the entire time.

Alabama GOP Governor, and racist, Kay Ivey stated:

“I pray that Elizabeth Sennett’s family can receive closure after all these years dealing with that great loss.”

Why not just use a guillotine, Kay; or firing squad; or tar and feather him.

Republican South Dakota Governor, who once fired a state employee from her job and then gave that job to her own daughter, Kristi Noem says she will personally deliver razor wire to Republican Texas Governor, and human trafficker, Greg Abbott if federal agents interfere with his plans for the U.S.-Mexico border.

Kristi Noem; a faux Christian who condones murdering immigrants rather than work toward a border solution.

GOOD NEWS

Meanwhile, back at the border dispute discussions between Democrats and Republicans … tempers flared as Republicans battled among themselves over whether to accept or reject a deal for tougher immigration laws, with some pushing back on colleagues who want to bow to Hair Furor’s wishes to kill the deal.

But one sane member of the GOP, for at least this particular day, North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis urged his Republican colleagues not to make it all about politics at the behest of another candidate:

“I didn’t come here to have the president as a boss or a candidate as a boss. I came here to pass good, solid policy. It is immoral for me to think you looked the other way because you think this is the linchpin for [Hair Furor] to win.”

Tillia best be careful, or he’ll be censured like James Lankford because, again, the GOP doesn’t want to solve the immigration crisis; not when they can use it as a campaign tool every election cycle.

And on the Democrat side, here are some FACTS about the economy under President Biden …

And that’s just a small taste of GOP lunacy ... pardoning traitors for political points; gibberish speakers; anti-military criminals; lunatics and Big Liars; Christian Nationalist Nazi sympathizers; party over country fools; unfit for political office; liars and flip-floppers; and Texas.

So what do we do? We ...

The Pedophiles Are Inside The Churches

It’s been a while since we noted the child sexual abuse going on in our nation’s churches by our church leaders, teachers, and such, so let’s take a look, thanks to JoeMyGod, at the latest scandals …

ILLINOIS

Isaiah Mikkelson, who was a youth leader at Hope Lutheran Church in Quincy, was sentenced to 6 years each for two counts of criminal sexual abuse of a victim between 13 and 18 years old on church property.

FLORIDA

Harriet Sugg, a former teacher at an Orlando Christian private school, faces several charges of sexual activity with a minor, “Jane Doe”, who alleges Harriet Sugg started to sexually abuse her when she was 15 years old.

Robert William Austin, a Department of Corrections chaplain, was arrested on seven counts of transmission of harmful material to a minor, two counts of computer pornography, seducing, soliciting, luring, or enticing a child to engage in an illegal act, and one count of unlawful use of a 2-way communication device; Austin sent explicit messages to a “14-year-old girl,” who happened to be an undercover detective; Austin allegedly knew of the “juvenile’s” age but continued to send messages.

OHIO

Michael Zacharias, a former priest was sentenced to life in prison on two counts and 20 years on three counts. A federal jury found him guilty of five counts of sex trafficking, some of which involved minors. Zacharias used his position as a priest at Saint Michael the Archangel Parish to target victims and coerce them into sex acts.

NORTH CAROLINA

Daniel Jeremy Abraham, a teacher at a Christian school has been charged with indecent liberties with a student and sexual battery involving a student.

Ashley James Crouse, a pastor at a Caldwell County church is facing child sex charges after the execution of recent search warrants found him in possession of material depicting child exploitation.

MISSISSIPPI

Samuel Lamar Taylor, a minister at several churches throughout Rankin County, has been sentenced to life without parole after being convicted of one count of sexual battery and one count of gratification of lust concerning an 11-year-old autistic child.

MICHIGAN

After he was convicted of assaulting young boys as a Little League coach in North Carolina, Jonathan Russell relocated to Saginaw Township, Michigan where he now faces charges for allegedly assaulting numerous children by exploiting his position at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport.

Luis Mendoza, who served as a church youth leader, has been charged with multiple counts of criminal sex conduct, grooming and engaging sexually with a minor.

WISCONSIN

Anne Nelson-Koch, a former Tomah Baptist Academy teacher has been sentenced  to 10 years prison, 15 years supervised release for convictions on 25 counts of sexual assault, repeatedly forcing a 14-year-old student to engage in sex acts during school hours.

TEXAS

Corey White, a former youth pastor at Redeemer Midland, was arrested and charged with Access with Intent to View Child Sexual Abuse Materials.

And again, not one drag queen or gay person in the bunch, and two cases of child rape are in Don’t Say Gay and Ban Drag Sows Florida; makes one think Ronnie DeSantis is focusing on the wrong crowd in his state.

And it kinda makes it look like that whole GOP smear campaign about ‘gay people and drag queens are grooming children” is just a lie to cover-up for the real groomers … the so-called Men and Women of God.

The Pedophiles Are Inside The Churches ... Still

I don’t follow rightwingnut and faux Christian, Tomi Lahren, on Twitter, but I do see her posts every so often, where she rants about the LGBTQ+ community and drag queens sexualizing and grooming children. And every time she posts her nonsense, I ask her—though she never responds because it doesn’t suit the Hate Narrative she pushes, why she says nary a word about so-called Men of God, Men of Faith, who groom and abuse children and are arrested and imprisoned for such.

So, here’s some info for Tomi, that I will share to her page, and no doubt not hear a word about it …

CALIFORNIA

Jose Andres Lopez, A retired Orange County pastor, was sentenced to 186 years to life in prison for sexually abusing two young girls with whom he is related from 1991 to 2020.

ALASKA

Dwight Chris John, age seventy-one, who served on the governing board of a Christian & Missionary Alliance church, has been charged with six counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 1st Degree, seven counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor 2nd Degree, Sexual Abuse of a Minor 3rd Degree, and three counts of Incest. The Investigation is ongoing.

CALIFORNIA

Michael Sasser, a Modesto man who stepped down from his role as a church youth leader a month before his arrest has pleaded guilty to three counts of child molestation for acts that occurred during a period of months in 2022 and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

KANSAS

Joseph Heidesch, s former private Catholic school teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, pleaded guilty to one felony count of sexual exploitation of a child and 25 counts of breach of privacy for secretly recording video of more than 100 girls and will spend five years in prison with no chance of parole.

VIRGINIA

Scott Asalone, now 66, A former Loudoun County Catholic priest, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old child; Asalone is required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.

TEXAS

Daniel Savala, who’s accused of sexually abusing multiple men in the Assemblies of God’s Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, has also been arrested in Houston on sex abuse charges involving minors.

It’s the second arrest in an investigation started in April by Waco Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit. On May 23, Chris Hundl, former leader of the Chi Alpha chapter at Baylor University and pastor of Mountain Valley Fellowship in Waco, was arrested on identical charges in Waco. According to police records, Hundl drove two boys to Savala’s residence in Houston where Savala “masturbated both children” in his home sauna.

OHIO

Robert Auxter, a former Monroe pastor at Grace Lutheran Church was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, which are third-degree felonies. Auxter is required to register as a tier 2 sex offender.

SOUTH CAROLINA

Daniel Kellan Mayfield, youth pastor at Gowensville First Baptist Church faces new charges of video recording girls—as young as 14—in the bathroom of the church he was fired from recently. He was also charged with using his phone to video record a woman while she was showering at her mother’s home in Greenwood County.

PENNSYLVANIA

Brandon S. Dasilva, a former youth pastor in Ephrata man is charged with possessing child pornography—and it’s not his first offense; he was also charged in February 2021 and failed to register his Twitch account and email address with Pennsylvania State Police, which was a condition of a prior conviction.

MAINE

Raymond K. Chang, a 36-year-old pastor at “Resurrection Church” was arrested on a warrant alleging he sexually assaulted a child. The victim reported being sexually assaulted by Chang multiple times from when she was 12 to 14 years old. The affidavit quotes the victim as saying that she reported the sexual abuse to a family member and in response the family got together with members of Chang’s former church—which is not named in the affidavit—and she was told to apologize and to forgive Chang.

CALIFORNIA

Steven Brian Arey, a former youth pastor in Tulare who was working for the California Department of Corrections at the time of his arrest in 2019, was sentenced to 300 years in prison on 20 counts of lewd acts with a child under the age of 14.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

Kevin Straughan, a former minister of Agape Ministries Church, is accused of strangulation and sexual assault and is being investigated for similar charges in Florida. Straughan has been indicted on several charges, including four counts of sexual assault and second-degree assault of children. Police said the victims were people he knew, including children.

TEXAS

Michael Anthony Romero, a former employee of a Magnolia church, has turned himself in and confessed to ‘inappropriate behavior with adolescents’ during his time at the ministry.

OHIO

The Rev. Michael Jude Zacharias, a Roman Catholic priest who has led parishes in Mansfield and Fremont, has been found guilty on all five counts of sex trafficking, two of which involved victims who were minors. Zacharias admitted to having had sexual relations with several men but maintained that the sex never involved anyone younger than 18 but a nine-page affidavit accuses Zacharias of “grooming” victims to use their drug addiction as a way to perform sexual acts on them.

MISSISSIPPI

Daniel Paul Harris, a Mississippi educator who, with his wife, founded the Kaimen Center to provide activities and experiences for children and adults of varying disabilities, was arrested and charged Thursday with two counts of molestation involving a child, two counts of sexual battery and one count of unnatural intercourse.

CALIFORNIA

Stephen McCurtis, pastor at Maricopa Community Church, has been charged with committing lewd and lascivious acts upon a child after a girl alleged McCurtis kissed and touched her inappropriately. The girl when she was 12 & 13 at the time. McCurtis denies touching the child intimately but told a deputy that he kissed her but claims he was not the pursuer, that the 13-year-old girl pursued him.

LOUISIANA

Jacob De La Paz, who left his employ at St. Thomas More High School abruptly, has been arrested after a video surfaced showing him shirtless and apparently saying sexually suggestive things to student he tutors. He has been charged with the federal crime of enticing a minor to produce child pornography or child sexual assault material.

IOWA

Jordan Dee Andrew Webb, who served as a missionary in the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia, was found guilty of one count of second-degree sexual abuse with persons under the age of 12, a Class B felony; incest, a class D felony; and child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor.

See, Tomi, not one drag queen or gay person in the bunch, and yet these people, many of whom have been arrested, charged, tried and found guilty, or admitted guilt, will every appear on your timeline, because you just want to push forward the rightwing, GOP, faux Christian, lies about LGBTQ+ people.

But we see you, and we know who’s grooming children.

The Bad and The Good ... Monday April 18, 2022

These really are the easiest posts to compile, because, literally, there are dumb people everywhere ... but that's what makes it so frightening. So this week, I decided to include some Good News as sort of a palette cleanser for the crazies …

Florida

The Department of Education has said the state will exclude over fifty proposed math textbooks because their content included references to critical race theory and other “prohibited topics” and “unsolicited strategies.”

In math books?

Perhaps they were suspicious of the “secret” meanings behind the = and ≠ signs?

I mean, it is Flori-duh, after all.

GEORGIA

GOP Governor Brian Kemp is expected to sign a bill allowing Georgia residents to carry handguns in public without a license or background check into law Tuesday.

Yes, you don’t need a license, and no one will check if you are a criminal, a domestic batterer, a thief, a person suffering from mental illness, or just an angry White man looking to even the score.

What could go wrong?

Florida

GOPQanon Governor Ron DeSantis has joined his fellow Republican governors in stomping on a woman’s right to make her own healthcare choices by signing a bill banning abortions after 15 weeks.

The bill does not grant exemptions for rape, incest or human trafficking.

So, Florida, if your husband rapes you daughter, set up the nursery! If any woman is being trafficked and ends up pregnant, then traffic the baby, too.

Always remember that in Florida, woman cannot choose.

Mississippi

For the third year in a row, GOP Governor Tate Reeves has declared April to be Confederate Heritage Month, keeping a tradition his predecessors began 29 years ago, saying:

“April is the month when, in 1861, the American Civil War began between the Confederate and Union armies, reportedly the costliest and deadliest war ever fought on American soil.”

And, this is rich, after issuing the same proclamation last year, Reeves appeared Fox News to say there “is not systemic racism in America.”

Reeves' Confederate Heritage Month proclamation comes a month after he signed a so-called "critical race theory" ban into law, saying CRT "humiliates" white people and makes white children "feel guilty because of their race."

No, they feel guilty letting racist pricks govern their state.

And now for some good …

Pennsylvania

Democrat Lt. Gov. John Fetterman has pulled ahead as the US Senate frontrunner over Conor Lamb, with 41% of registered Democrats saying they support him and 17% of voters supporting Lamb.

Fetterman first gained notoriety in 2013 when, as mayor of a small Pennsylvania town, he defied state law and performed a same-sex marriage ceremony. In 2021 he made national news by defying a ban on rainbow flags in the Pennsylvania Capitol.

Vote Blue Pennsylvania.

Tennessee

The General Assembly’s bill that sought to create a legal marriage pathway available only to straight couples will not advance this year following public outcry over the initial version of the legislation.

After a tough line of questions from GOP colleagues bill sponsor Representative Tom Leatherwood said he wanted to send the bill to summer study. The move kills the bill for the session, though it could re-emerge next year.

Good.

Kansas

Democrat Governor Laura Kelly vetoed a proposal that would have banned transgender athletes from girls’ sports and another that would have required schools to let parents challenge classroom curriculum, something she calls a “teacher demoralization act.”

Republican lawmakers are expected to try to override both of the vetoes, but face potentially long odds.

Good.

America

With at least 15 states enacting or considering bans on gender-affirming care for transgender youth, the U.S. Air Force is offering medical, legal, and relocation assistance to servicemembers whose families have been harmed by such laws, according to a recent press release:

“Various laws and legislation are being proposed and passed in states across America that may affect LGBTQ Airmen, Guardians, and/or their LGBTQ dependents in different ways. The Department of the Air Force [DAF] has assignment, medical, legal and other resources available to support Airmen, Guardians and their families. The health, care and resilience of our DAF personnel and their families is not just our top priority … We are closely tracking state laws and legislation to ensure we prepare for and mitigate effects to our Airmen, Guardians and their families. Medical, legal resources, and various assistance are available for those who need them.”
Also, if the service members live in states where it’s illegal for trans youth to get medical care, “Commanders can work to get the service member to an assignment where their loved ones can receive the care they need.”

The Air Force is the only branch of the U.S. military known to be offering these services to servicemembers and their queer and trans family members.

Now, that’s Good News.

Please note that the Good News, the sensible news, comes from Democrat-run states, and Democratic Governors. That speaks volumes.

Get educated and save yourselves from The Stupids.

And CAST A GODDAMNED VOTE!

Hannah Frith Regrets Her Pandemic Party

Down there in Florence, Mississippi, the masks were coming off and some people were getting vaccinated and Fourth of July was coming up and, well, Hannah Frith thought it was the perfect time for a party.

Not so much anymore, because now Hannah regrets her Independence Day “mini-pandemic" party after more than 20 people tested positive for COVID-19 and some were hospitalized:

"We had lots of food. A water slide, a lot of friends coming over. We were outside on the water slide, you know? And a few days later, someone tested positive. And a few days later, it was like a mini-pandemic from the party."

Hannah, too, fell ill; it started as exhaustion, then a headache, and a few days later a friend took her to the hospital because she knew she needed help.

Hannah Frith is a nurse.

She was sent to the ER and after a time she started feeling better. Sadly, Hannah’s father was getting worse. He’d contracted the virus from her over dinner one night and soon his oxygen levels were so low, was taken to the emergency room.

"It took him 30 minutes to get to the car because he was so short of breath. The next day, the doctor called and told me his kidney function was bad. His liver enzymes were bad. Of course, he had COVID in both lungs. I felt terrible, you know? This is my fault. When he gets out of here, he’s going to be mad at me."

Hannah’s father is recovering and is out of the hospital. Hannah said it’s been a shock seeing her friends and her dad so sick, and it may have changed her mind about being vaccinated:

"Before this, I didn’t really want the vaccine. Now, I’m considering it more than I ever did before, to my dad, myself."

Sad that Hannah froth didn’t see the need for a vaccine after 610,000 Americans died.

Sad that Hannah was so eager for a water slide and some fireworks that she and her mini-super-spreader could have killed her, her friends, and her father.

Sad that a nurse doesn’t know better.

Sad.

Bobservations

I was watching HouseHunters the other day—I’m a little obsessed with homes and real estate—and there was a lovely couple. Sarah and Loren. Only, upon listening further, I realized Loren was Lauren, Okay …

Carlos come sin and he stops to watch for a moment, and says:

“The husband is kind of cute.”

“They’re lesbians.”

“Are you sure?”

I put on my soft, nurturing teacher voice and say:

“Two women are a lesbian couple; two men are a homosexual couple…”

“I know that. But she looks like a man with hat short hair.”

“Exactly! She. So, again … two women are a lesbian couple; two men are a homosexual couple and … “

“Stop that!”

“A man and a woman couple are an abomination before God.”

Just kidding with y’all, especially my straight coupled followers,

Tuxedo wants to get away from politics, and so he’s been listening to some country music, and he just doesn’t quite get it.

UPDATE: y’all can put it back in your pants, because  Luke Evans and Rafael Olarra, who had fans thinking that they ended their relationship after they unfollowed each other on Instagram, might be back together.

Last week, it was discovered that Luke and Rafa both unfollowed each other on Instagram—ouch—and Luke appeared to have erased nearly every photo of Rafa from his page, though Rafa didn’t seem to delete posts from his account. But Rafa did leave Australia, where he was spending time with Luke for the past three months while the actor filmed the upcoming series Nine Perfect Strangers.

But the very next day, both men refollowed each other on Instagram and posted photos on Instagram Stories that looked back at their relationship.

But Luke, my offer still holds if a breakup occurs and you need some special care …

Also, more from my BFF—Blocked From [Me] Forever—Kirstie Alley.

Last week the former actress, current  MAGAt accused CNN fearmongering about the COVID-19 pandemic via Twitter:

“I now Know why my personal friends who walk around in SHEER TERROR of contracting Covid are simply CNN viewers! I decided to watch CNN myself to get a their [sic] viewpoint and oh my God DID I EVER!!!!”

Well, the official CNN PR Twitter account clearly has zero fucks to give, at least where has been actresses are concerned, and Tweeted back:

Kirstie, you are welcome to change the channel - just like countless viewers did every time ‘Veronica’s Closet’ came on TV. But don’t downplay the loss of nearly 230K American lives. And please, wear a mask.

And that is so not Fake News.

On Tuesday Mississippi voters approved a new flag to replace their old one that featured a Confederate battle emblem. The new flag features a magnolia―the state flower―along with 20 white stars, a nod to Mississippi being the 20th state to enter the union, with a single gold at the top to represent the indigenous tribes, along with the legend “In God We Trust” below the magnolia.

I like that the racist part is gone, and I love the representation of indigenous peoples.

Good on Mississippi, for a change.

Color me surprised … Kanye West admits defeat in presidential election after getting 57,000 votes in 12 states.

Who the %$#@ are these 57,000 people and why are they allowed to vote?

I saw this yesterday on Facebook, and it seemed rather fitting. Let’s make sure he is completely uninstalled, and make sure the likes of this racist, rapist, bigot is never installed in this country again.

I was perusing around the blog-o-sphere this morning and stopped in at my friend Sheila Morris; blog, I'll Call It As I See It, and learned that a friend of ours, Matt Chisling, had passed away on Tuesday at the age of 91.

I honestly believe that if you fall under the LGBTQ+ blanket in South Carolina, especially in the Midlands, you knew Matt. We met the LGBTQ+ activist, storyteller, and kind soul through our friends, the Round-The-Way-Gays, Neal and David, and quickly grew to adore Matt. He often came to our Cinco de Never parties, and held court in the sunroom, telling stories of the old days, the new days, and the days yet to come.

RIP Matt.

PS As Sheila pointed out, Matt died on election day, having “never lost either his enthusiasm for democracy or his passion for the Democratic Party.” So, let’s win this one for Matt.

The first time I saw a photo of Tom Zalac, I thought he was a very handsome man. And then, as happens, as I saw more pictures of him, I realized he was a very handsome man who liked to pose in his under, or nothing at all.

That’s all.

Bobservations

As Mistress Maddie said in a comment yesterday, hot gay British journalist James Longman proposed to his boyfriend fiancé, Alex Brannan, yesterday.

James Longman—and I believe the last name suits him—has long been one of my boyfriends—and as I told Carlos about the engagement, I then had to tell him again who James Longman was …
“You know how when we watch GMA and I squeal like a schoolgirl about my boyfriend being on TV? That’s James Longman. And now he’s gonna be a Husband-In-My-Head.”
Carlos said:
“It’s must be getting pretty crowded up there.”
And he’s not wrong.

Here’s Alex and James, the happy cute couple.

Tuxedo has been trying to explain the asshattery of All Lives Matter on Facebook for weeks now … this time he chose a direct route.
I’ve always called them The Chicks, just because I wanted to, but now it appears that the artists formally known as the Dixie Chicks are now officially The Chicks. If you didn’t know, and how could you not, the word “Dixie” is commonly used as a nickname for the Southern United States, mostly regarding those that composed the Confederate States of America.

So, The Chicks can now be found on Twitter at @thechicks, and their website has been redirected to thechicks.com. In addition, The Chicks released ‘March March,’ a new song that features footage from protests through the years and up to today, naming both George Floyd and Breonna Taylor in the lyrics.

March, march.

I was watching a movie called The Weekend over the, um, weekend, and learned a new word to describe my need to accept no responsibility for my actions: I’m Alibipolar.

That’s all.
Well, well, well … the Mississippi legislature has voted to remove Confederate symbol from the state flag. And Governor Tate Reeves, has said he would sign the legislation into law. Mississippians will vote on a replacement flag in the November election and the current design cannot be an option.

That’s my idea up there.

Still, there is a move to make sure the phrase ‘In God We Trust’ will be somewhere on the flag, totally ignoring that whole Separation of Church and State thing. Oh well, baby steps …
I was sitting in a parking lot waiting on Carlos and a woman came out of the store and raised her hand, holding her keys, to unlock her car because, apparently, she’d forgotten where she parked. She raised that hand, pointed and clicked … nothing; raised it again, pointed and clicked …nothing.

I was tempted to toot my car horn just to fuck with her. And if I got caught? Alibipolar.
I was watching GMA the other day and there was another viral video of a Karen at Trader Joe’s shrieking and whining about having to wear a mask because she has a medical condition and you’re gonna get sued and she’s not a sheep and … you get it.

After the video, they brought on the GMA doctor, Jen Ashton,  who calmly explained that if your breathing issue didn’t preclude you from being outside then you don’t have an issue breathing. But then she nailed it further by saying:
“And if you can shriek at Trader Joes employees at the top of your lungs about having a health issue that precludes you from wearing a mask, you don’t have a health issue. You can breathe just fine.”
Snap, Karen.
Why? WHY????

Because the first two films made a combined $1 billion around the world, there will be a third Mamma Mia movie.

Haven’t I suffered enough? Lockdown? Furloughed from work? And now this?
Under lockdown, with case rates climbing every day, I have little desire to set foot outside unless I must, so I watched a couple of films with hotties the other day…

The first was Official Secrets was about an woman who worked for the British government and released secret intel to prove that England, and the United States, lied about the WMD in Iraq, and lied about Saddam Hussein’s involvement in 9/11, to force that illegal war. Good film, but, again, it had some good-looking men [top left and top right] in Adam Bakri and Matt Smith—who has been here before..

The second was The Weekend, where I found my new tagline—see earlier Bobservation above—with two delicious mens [lower left and lower right] Tone Bell and Y’lan Noel. The movie was cute funny, at times, but needed a few more laughs, so I focused on those two and found myself, um, interested.

Lockdown can provide some nice views if you’re looking in the right direction.
