I Ain't One To Gossip But ...

Kevin Spacey, former Oscar-winning thespian, current Hollywood perv, is, again, severely out of touch.

According to a new Hollywood Reporter piece detailing Spacey’s legal troubles, during a legal deposition, Spacey “sprung up from his seat” and performed a song-and-dance number.

Seriously. Sadly, no one had picked Kevin Spacey Channels Judy Garland During the Deposition on their Bingo card so there is no video.

But we do know from folks who witnessed the show, that Spacey’s performance happened during his legal battle with former employer, Media Rights Capital, who produced House of Cards, and are seeking tens of millions of dollars in damages they suffered after the allegations against Spacey came out. Spacey, of course, countersued, saying they owe him money.

Anyway, after more than a year of private negotiations, the Spacey case was submitted to an arbitrator in February 2020, right before the lockdown began. And, like everything in Spacey’s world, the legal proceedings quickly turned bizarre when Spacey sprung up from his seat and performed a song-and-dance number in the conference room.

No word on what he sang, or if he brought tap shoes but I’m guessing he’s practicing his fancy footwork as a way of getting out of this mess. Not guilty by reason of being a showman?

And this lawsuit isn’t Spacey’s only legal battle. While three of his sexual misconduct accusers have died—illness, suicide, hit by a car—he’s still being sued for sexual assault by one of his ex-acting students from the ’80s—who was 14 at the time; Anthony Rapp is also a plaintiff in that suit, and he was also 14 when Kevin allegedly assaulted him. And then there are the six sexual assault accusations out of London, where Spacey lived while running the Old Vic theatre. The Brits are still deciding whether to press criminal charges against him, based on findings made by Scotland Yard’s Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command.

I wonder what he’ll sing at that hearing.

In most of America when someone puts a For Sale sign in the yard, it means you wanna sell your house. But in Hollywood, people start wondering and gossiping.

Case in point: the recent story that 54-year-old director Sam Taylor-Johnson and her husband, 30-year-old Aaron Taylor-Johnson, put their house on the market is leading people to speculate that the Taylor-Johnsons are over after nine years of marriage.

Perhaps the rabid speculation spurred on by a For Sale sign is the relationship between Sam and Aaron. They met while filming 2009’s Nowhere Boy—she directed it, he played John Lennon; he was 18 at the time—just 6 years older than one of Sam’s children—and she was 42 and married, with two daughters. But Sam divorced her husband and started dating Aaron, and a year later they had a child together; 18 months later had their second child. And then they got married. So, she’s an older woman and she was his boss, so clearly there’s something creepy about all this and that’s why the rumors spread?

Or maybe they love each other and simply want to move, because everyone knows that, in Hollywood, if you want people to talk about your relationship ending, you take off your wedding ring around photographers.

But … but … if the story is true, and the couple are splitting up, and Aaron needs a place to stay, we have a lovely guest room here at Casa Bob y Carlos and it would take just a couple of minutes to move Carlos;’ things in there.

Just sayin’. I’ve seen Aaron fully nekkid in A Million Little Pieces and it’s spectacular.

Once again Tristan Thompson has been accused of cheating on Khloé Kardastrophe.

Who did not see that coming? I mean, Tristan began dating Khloé after dumping his pregnant girlfriend for her; and then he knocked up Khloé and cheated on her while she was pregnant; and now, big surprise, he’s accused of cheating again with one Sydney Chase, an Instagram model.

Sydney is either a fool, the dumbest woman on the planet, or just a ho because she claims she had no idea Tristan had a girlfriend.

Khloé, on the other hand is either a fool, the dumbest woman on the planet, or just a ho because she doesn’t believe he cheated on her,

Again.

Sure, these days you may know Alyssa Milano more from her work with the #MeToo movement, or her political Tweets, or her just plain outspokenness, but Milano made a name for herself on Who’s The Boss?, Melrose Place and Charmed.

So, recently, someone on social media went after Milano, claiming her career is basically over, and saying, “Sad how a washed-up actress is still trying to be important,” Milano was not having it. And because she’s the person who will respond to Tweets, she did so:

“I get a lot of those. Usually, it comes from people who identify as a different political party than I do. You see, I identify with the party who believes in equality and equity and opportunity for everyone, and also the party who fights for the most vulnerable and the marginalized communities. But beyond just that, just because you say something to be hurtful, it doesn’t make it true. I have consistently worked since I was 7 years old, and you can just fuck off now and move along.”
Zero fucks. I love that.

Simply put don’t come for Milano unless she sends for you.

I Didn't Say It ...

Joy Behar, taking on billionaire coffee  maker Howard Schultz over his vanity presidential bid and _____’s government shutdown:

“You talk about the Democrats not wanting to negotiate. They cannot negotiate with a toddler. You give him the cookie one day, the next day he wants another cookie, so it’s not equal on both sides. They had to play tough, the Democrats, with him, otherwise he will run amok. Now your entry into the race pretty much guarantees a Republican is going to win.”

And when Schultz said …  “No one wants to see him fired more than me” … Behar replied … “No one wants to see you run more than him.”
Word.
Adam Schiff, Democratic Congressman, wondering if Junior is next up on the indictment sweepstakes:

“I’d like the special counsel to have access to Don Jr.’s testimony and determine whether it is evidence of—of false statements. I think—and I greatly appreciate the seriousness with which the special counsel takes lying to Congress—so I’ll let Bob Mueller be the judge of that. But one of the first acts, if not the first act, of our committee will be to send all of these transcripts of all the witnesses to Bob Mueller so that he can consider whether additional perjury charges are warranted.”

And if Junior gets convicted, do you think Daddy will save him, or will Daddy still be trying to save his own ass?–
Alyssa Milano, refusing to apologize for calling MAGA hats the new KKK hood:

“The red MAGA hat is the new white hood, [and]  without white boys being able to empathize with other people, humanity will continue to destroy itself. Some things in that video cannot be disputed—no matter what angle or how extended the cut is—these boys, who attend a religious school, were there on a school trip protesting against a woman’s right to reproductive freedom. Several of these boys were wearing red MAGA hats, a hat that has become synonymous with white nationalism and racism. Several were doing a ‘tomahawk chop.’ Several were laughing.”

Hatred. Hat red. Red Hat.
Greg Razer, Missouri Democratic Representative, on trying to get LGBTQ anti-discrimination protections into Missouri law for years and trying a new tack: an amendment to ban sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination against House staff members:

“One would think an amendment in 2019 that simply says we won’t fire staff members because they’re LGBT wouldn’t be difficult to pass [but] the majority of my colleagues voted to retain the right to fire Missourians who work for them simply because they are LGBT like me. That in and of itself is proof that our employees need this protection. When a House member cites his religious liberty as a reason for retaining the right to fire someone, that is proof that our employees need this protection. When a House member has been supported on Twitter by the Westboro Baptist Church, that is proof that our employees need this protection. And when House Republican leaders ensure that the majority of their caucus will vote no to this amendment, that is proof that our employees need this protection.”

Needless to say, not one single Republican in Missouri voted yes, while every single Democrat did.
Sad to say, the Legislature in Missouri is GOP-controlled, for now.
Roger Stone, following his arrest, saying  he would discuss cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller, if asked:

“You know, that’s a question I would have to—I have to determine after my attorneys have some discussion. If there’s wrongdoing by other people in the campaign that I know about, which I know of none, but if there is I would certainly testify honestly. I’d also testify honestly about any other matter, including any communications with the president. It’s true that we spoke on the phone, but those communications are political in nature, they’re benign, and there is—there is certainly no conspiracy with Russia. The president’s right, there is no Russia collusion.”

I’m still laughing at this cartoon criminal saying he would testify ‘honestly’.
Mick Mulvaney, on Fox News, saying _____ won the Shutdown Battle after caving to Pelosi:

“Why he did what he did was because many Democrats had come to us, some of them privately, many of them spoke out publicly, that they are actually starting to agree with him on the necessity for a barrier on the southern border, and they had come to us and said, ‘Look, we agree with you, you’re winning the battle on the importance of a barrier on the southern border, but we simply cannot work with you while the government is closed.'”

Give us a name, Mick. One frigging name.
And … crickets.
Sam Elliott, on what he thinks about getting an Oscar nomination—his first—at seventy-four:

“I think the thing off the top of my head might be, ‘It’s about f*cking time.’” Beyond that, it’s really about the work; it’s just about the creative process. It’s great to be recognized for that, that’s really all it’s about.”

I can’t believe he’s 74!
Chadwick Boseman, accepting the award for Best Cast for Black Panther, at the SAG Awards, on what it means “to be young, gifted and black” but not have privilege:

“That is one of my favorite songs, one of my favorite sayings in poetry. It speaks to the fact that you have the same dreams as other people. You have equal if not more talent. But you don’t have the same opportunities. You don’t necessarily have the same doors open to you, the same nepotism, the same money or resources that can be put toward your dreams. You, a lot of times, don’t have family members that have ever achieved the things that you want to do. So when you aspire to do something [it] is outside the realm of what the world would see you doing and also what your family has ever achieved. Some people they’re the first person to graduate from college still [in their family]. To be young, gifted and black is all of that. It’s to have everything but not be able to grasp it, but to be able to persevere through that. All of us are actors. It is difficult to do that for everyone, it’s a difficult task, but our task historically has not been the same because we’ve been relegated to playing the sidekick or the sideshow or backstage.”

Times will change.
PS He's hot.Just sayin'.

I Didn't Say It ...

President Obama, shading Kim Davis without saying her name:

“We affirm that we cherish our religious freedom and are profoundly respectful of religious traditions. But we also have to say clearly that our religious freedom doesn’t grant us the freedom to deny our fellow Americans their constitutional rights. And that even as we are respectful and accommodating genuine concerns and interests of religious institutions, we need to reject politicians who are supporting new forms of discrimination as a way to scare up votes. That's not how we move America forward.”

It’s so simple a fool can understand it, which, well, says a lot about Kim Davis.
Danny Pintauro, former Who’s The Boss? child star, revealing that he is HIV positive:

"I wanted to tell you this a long time ago, but I wasn't ready — I'm ready now — that I'm HIV positive, and I have been for 12 years. It's just a big deal. It's not something that people are talking about right now really.  I was doing crystal meth, which completely ruins your immune system. Crystal meth takes away your inhibitions. You have no limits. I know exactly when it happened. I truly thought I was being safe, and obviously, I wasn’t.”

Pintauro wants to dedicate himself to educating people about HIV, safer sex, and addiction.
Good on him; for too long we’ve acted like this disease is over and it’s not.
It’s manageable, though there is no cure yet. And we need to, once again, take back the stigma of anyone who is positive and how they contracted the virus.
Rush Limbaugh, off his meds and ranting about NASA and climate change:

“They’re lying about it. They’re just making up the amount of ice in the North and South Poles, they’re making up the temperatures, they’re lying and making up false charts and so forth. So what’s to stop them from making up something that happened on Mars that will help advance their left-wing agenda on this planet? OK so there’s flowing water on Mars. Yip yip yip yahoo. You know me, I’m science 101, big time guy, tech advance it, you know it, I’m all in. But, NASA has been corrupted by the current regime. I want to find out what they’re going to tell us. OK, flowing water on Mars. If we’re even to believe that, what are they going to tell us that means? That’s what I’m going to wait for. Because I guarantee, let’s just wait and see, this is September 28, let’s just wait and see. Don’t know how long it’s going to take, but this news that there is flowing water on Mars is somehow going to find its way into a technique to advance the leftist agenda.”

Yup, Obama coerced NASA into finding water on Mars to advance the notion of climate change here on Earth.
Oh Rush, take another pill, have a sammich and shut up.
Alyssa Milano, Danny Pintauro’s Who’s The Boss? co-star, on his revelation of being HIV positive:

“I hate that it took him so long to feel comfortable, but I’m so glad that he is able to express himself now, and I guarantee you he will change so many lives. I’m so grateful that this disease is now being discussed again because it feels like there was such a long time that it wasn’t, and he is a beacon of light, and he will be. I’m proud.”

Silence = Death, and thankfully Danny Pintauro won’t be silent.
Hillary Clinton, on her supposed flip-flop on marriage equality:

“On same-sex marriage, like a lot of people, including our president, I did evolve. And I was not raised to even imagine this. And I’m thrilled now that it is the law of the land. And I have a lot of good friends who are now able to be married because of the changes we’ve made legally and constitutionally.”

She can’t do anything right for the GOP, who dog her every statement.
If she supports marriage equality she’s anti-family; if they find out she once felt differently, as did almost all of the country, I might add, she gets burned.
Let me make this queer: everyone who now supports marriage equality has evolved, m’kay?
