Richard “Bigo” Barnett , the self-described white
nationalist who stormed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and posed for pictures
during the Capitol riots, doesn’t believe he should be in jail, and threw a
temper tantrum to make his point, shouting:
“They’re dragging this out. They’re letting everyone else
out. It’s not fair! This has been a bunch of crap.”
Dick, er, “Bigo” Barnett, a 60-year-old Arkansas man, is
facing several charges, including theft, after posing for that infamous photo
in Pelosi’s office, and arming himself with a stun gun as part of the MAGAt mob that attacked the Capitol while
Congress was certifying the results of the 2020 election. Barnett was one of
the first of at least 300 people to be arrested and is among the few to remain
in jail.
Hence the “It’s not fair!” tantrum.
Sadly, well, not really, Barnett’s courtroom meltdown was
futile. After a five-minute recess, his lawyers told the judge they intended to
file a new bail motion, and the judge said he’d rule on whether to release
Barnett after that is filed before abruptly ending the hearing.
Barnett’s next court date is May 4.
"Dick" should be plenty pissy by then. |
