Minute Rant: F**k Donald [t]Rump ... Again

In the Haters Gonna Hate Because They’re Morons file …

Donald [t]Rump is sticking to his claims that he witnessed thousands of Arabs cheering in the streets of Jersey City, New Jersey back on 9/11 when the World Trade Center’s came down:
“‘It did happen, I saw it. It was on television. I saw it.”
And when [t]Rump was reminded that it wasn’t on TV, and that police and FBI say it didn’t happen, and the mayor of Jersey City says it didn’t happen, he still says it did:
“I know it might be not politically correct for you to talk about it, but there were people cheering as that building came down — as those buildings came down. And that tells you something.”
Oh, and he says that he watched as people leapt to their deaths from the towers that day … from his home … four miles away. My guess, though, and it seems more likely, is that [t]Rump was cowering in a closet somewhere crapping his pants like the little bitch he is … or something.

Stupid is as stupid does. And, sadly, stupid has supporters in this country.

Minute Rant: North Carolina School Suspends All Clubs Because ... LGBT Club

Up in Lake Lure, North Carolina, a group of parents began complaining about a newly formed LGBT Club at Lake Lure Classical Academy, a K-12 public charter school, and, rather than tell the parents that all groups are welcome at the school, the board of directors suspended the activities of every single club on campus.

It all began when visual arts teacher Layne Long allowed a female student to hold the LGBT Club’s meetings in her classroom and gave the student a poster from the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network [GLSEN] to display. And that sparked one grandmother to complain that, since the poster went up, she was forced to explain the meaning of “gay” and “lesbian” to her elementary school grandchild.

In her one comment on the issue, School Director Jessica Boland expressed disappointment in the situation and said the community is the main reason for the controversy:
“From the school side, when you are in the school community, the issues aren’t as prevalent as the outside community is making it. I find it disappointing that we have to suspend all clubs.”
But, that’s just what they did because some parents don’t want to have to explain gay or lesbian to their kids, and now all clubs at the school are shut down. In addition, the school, if and when it decides to reopen any or all clubs, must follow a new protocol on posters: all club posters must have a stamp of approval from the school director and can only be placed on designated club bulletin boards on the middle and high school halls.

You know, so as not to alarm the children, or their parents who are so backwoods and red-necked that the mere idea of having to say gay or lesbian in a conversation gets their camouflage panties in a twist.

Punish all the kids because some parents are bigots.

Ain’t’ that America? Or at least North Carolina?

Minute Rant: The Tip Is 'For US Citizens Only'

A woman, a mother of two, here in this country legally, and working as a server at the Bamboo Thai Bistro in Redondo Beach, California, to support her two children and get a Green Card, received a lovely tip from a man after serving him.

In the tip line on his charge slip he wrote:
‘Tip for U.S. Citizens Only’
The server was sure she’d done something wrong not to be given a tip, you know, other than being from Thailand, but we’ll never know because the man bigot who left the charge slip signed that way won’t talk to news people even after the story went viral.

The man left the restaurant, possibly all smug that he was able to be hateful to a stranger, and possibly thought that was that. But it appears that someone else, allegedly another patron, photographed the charge slip and posted it to Twitter.

But this is where we are headed, it seems, when we close our doors to Syrian refugees fleeing for their lives, and listen to the hate-filled rhetoric of a presidential candidate like Donald [t]Rump’s frequent rants against immigrants,

This is America in the hands of people like this man bigot and Donald [t]Rump, and the GOP, where if you look different or sound different or worship different, you are less than.

It’s beginning … and it’s only going to get worse until We The People stand up against the fear and hatred and xenophobia.

After all, when it comes right down to it, we are all immigrants here.

Minute Rant: F**k Off, Donald [t]Rump

Donald [t]Rump wants to be president so badly that he’ll campaign on fear to win, even if his campaign ideas make him seem a little more Adolph Hitler.

In an interview with Yahoo News [t]Rump said that, as president, he would consider forcing Muslim-Americans to carry a special identification card and he would order the federal government to spy on them:
“I would certainly implement that. Absolutely. There should be a lot of systems, beyond databases … We should have a lot of systems.”
And when he was asked if Muslims would be legally obligated to sign into the database, he said:
“They have to be — they have to be.”
Most sickening of all, and more proof to anyone with a brain that fires on more than one cylinder that Donald [t]Rump has no business running for public office is that when he was asked how his plan differs from the Nazis, he said:
“You tell me.”
Well, there is one difference: he has said anything about rounding up Muslims and putting them in internment camps … yet.

Let’s be clear, again: Muslims are not terrorists, terrorists are terrorists. And people like Donald [t]Rump are terrorists, too, because he’s running a campaign based on it.

Minute Rant: Husband of Deceased 9/11 Hero Returns his Wife's Woman of The Year Award After Caitlyn Jenner Is Given The Same Prize

Back on September 11, 2001, NYPD officer Moira Smith died while helping people evacuate Tower Two, and she was posthumously honored by Glamour magazine as its Woman of the Year.

This year, her husband, James Smith — also a police officer in New York — is returning her award because this year Glamour magazine has named Caitlyn Jenner its Woman of the Year. In a letter posted to Facebook, Smith said the award to Jenner was a ‘slap in the face’ to the memory of his wife that a man was given the award':
“Was there no woman in America, or the rest of the world, more deserving than this man? At a time when we have women in the armed forces fighting and dying for our country, heroic doctors fighting deadly diseases, women police officers and firefighters putting their lives on the line for total strangers, brave women overcoming life-threatening diseases…the list of possibilities goes in…is this the best you could do?”
I feel sorry for this man, James Smith, because he’s lost; while his wife did indeed save countless lives in the towers that day, he has no idea how many lives Caitlyn Jenner has saved, will save; how many people might not swallow those pills, pull that trigger, jump in front of that car, because Caitlyn Jenner has stepped forward with her story of her struggles with a transgender identity. She has shown that you can live your truth, and I imagine there are many people following in her footsteps today that might have chosen a different path, with a much sadder outcome, had it not been for her. And for Smith to reiterate that hateful idea that Caitlyn Jenner is a man is more of a disservice to his wife’s memory than anything else.
“There was a French activist and writer, Simone de Beauvoir, who said, “You are not born woman. You become one. Words I live by.” — Caitlyn Jenner, in her acceptance speech receiving the Transgender Champion award at this year’s Glamour Women of the Year
For their part, Glamour magazine released a statement saying they were “proud to honor [Smith’s] wife… in 2001, and we stand by our decision to honor Caitlyn Jenner.”

Both women rescued people; one from a terrorist attack, and the other from people like James Smith who make them feel as though they don’t belong.

Minute Rant: Jeb Bush ... Still Dumb ... 'W' Dumb ... and Still Anti-LGBT

I used to live in Florida when Jeb was governor; and I was one of those that actually thought his brother, W, was the dumb one, who couldn’t string together a sentence without tape and spackle, but I was wrong.

Jeb is dumb. Really dumb. W dumb.

While speaking at a San Francisco tech startup last week, Jeb Bush was asked by an openly gay employee about his position on legislation to ban discrimination of LGBT Americans and Jeb said:
“I don’t think you should be discriminated because of your sexual orientation. Period. Over and out."
Then he continued, which is where dumb and anti-LGBT comes in, because he said that workplace and housing discrimination protections for LGBT Americans should be enacted …

… on a state-by-state basis. So, you know, if you work in California, for example, and California wants to ban workplace and housing discrimination because you’re gay, then you’re lucky; but, say you get a new job in Arkansas, and Arkansas wants legalized discrimination based on sexual orientation, then that’s okay, too.

See, Jeb wants us to be separate but equal; he wants us free from discrimination in one place, if the voters, I imagine, approve, but also wants us to face discrimination in places where people like to be bigots and haters.

And so, to make his point, especially in light of that pesky — for the wingnuts — marriage equality decision, he trotted out that old chestnut about how the country must work to carefully balance the rights of those seeking to marry and the religious beliefs of those who oppose those unions.

See, he says The Gays have to respect the rights of Christians, but he’s perfectly fine with Christians not respecting the rights of The Gays or even following the law.

He used the example of the florist selling flowers to a same-sex couple, saying the florist should “be obligated to sell them flowers, [because] doing otherwise would be discriminatory.” But then he spoke out of the other side of his mouth by saying the florist should not have to sell flowers for a same-sex wedding because they choose not to participate.

Um, Jeb, if you’re a florist and I ask you to sell me flowers for my wedding, you are not participating, you are not a guest, you are not even a footnote to the ceremony.

So, let’s be queer about Jeb: he doesn’t want us discriminated in places where people don’t like discrimination, but if you live in a homophobic state, well, deal with it. And he doesn’t want florist … or bakers … to deny selling their goods to same-sex couples, unless those flowers and cakes are to be seen and served at a same-sex ceremony.

I’m amazed how Jeb Bush thinks he can pander to the religious right wingnut conservatives at the same time he’s trying to pander to The Gays.

We ain’t buying it, Jeb; you’re a bigot and a hater and a homophobe and a pandering tool for the GOP.

That much is queer.

A Post ... An Update ... And A Minute Rant ... All In One Fell Swoop

Dent County, Missouri is home to about 16,000 people. Small; almost as small as Camden, where I live, though it’s much more backwards and backwoods and asshatted than my town.

Why, you ask … or maybe you didn’t but I’ll tell you anyway? The county commission of Dent County voted unanimously on Monday to observe a year of “mourning” over the Supreme Court’s decision to allow marriage equality nationwide by lowering all the flags at the county Courthouse and Judicial Building to below half-staff.

They are that upset about equality in Dent County.

The vote came after Presiding Commissioner Darrell Skiles filed a letter in  protest of “the U.S. high court’s stamp of approval of what God speaks of as an abomination” and saying he wanted the flag lowered so “all who see these flags at this lowered position be reminded of this despicable Supreme Court travesty.”

All? Or maybe just the bigots and homophobes and people who don’t believe in equality and think that Bob and Carlos being married is an abomination.

And joining Skiles in the unanimous vote were his fellow commissioners Gary Larson and Dennis Purcell.

Seriously? A year of mourning over marriage equality?

Okay … maybe not.

See, those three Republican commissioners have now decided … today, Tuesday, a day after they vowed to mourn the abomination that is equality … to rescind that vote, but not out of respect for LGBT Americans, not out of an awareness that all Americans should be equally under the law, but out of respect for veterans.

Yeah, that excuse makes just about as much sense as their original reasoning for lowering the flag.

How is it that anywhere in America, when a subset of the population fights for, and achieves, the right to be equal under the law, that results in an entire county going into mourning for a year? Did the Dent County commissioners go into mourning when women got the vote? Did their wear black armbands after the Civil Rights Act was signed? Or, is it just The Gays that don’t deserve equality?

And then to back off their order out of respect for s when they don’t even bother to say how their original ruling was a disservice to veterans.

Silly, stupid Republicans … again

Kansas Governor Brownback Wants To "Mike Pence" Kansas

Is it me, or does anyone else think that the Republicans, especially Republican governors, will never learn?

In the wake of the Supreme Court ruling saying The Gays can get married, and be recognized as married couples, anywhere in the US of A, Kansas’ GOP Governor Sam Brownback said he is considering a new religious objections law for the state.

Three words Brownback: Mike. Pence. Indiana. Any of that ring a bell?

Probably not because, although same-sex couples can obtain marriage licenses in all 105 Kansas counties, the state will not allow The Newlywed Gays to change their names on driver’s licenses, nor has Brownback said that these couples can file joint state tax returns next year; in addition, Kansas has not extended coverage to gay spouses under its health insurance plan for government workers.

Wake up, Brownback, it’s over; you lost. We all know that you foot-stomped and knuckle-dragged and head-snapped for over ten years about same-sex marriage—in 2005 the state Constitution was amended to allow discrimination—but the time has come to move on from that.

Yet still he is being dragged kicking and screaming into adapting to the law:
“You have to understand and get the mechanisms in place. We’ve had meetings with the attorney general, with the relevant Cabinet agencies. We want to make sure to do this right.”
Here’s how you do it: the law changed, here’s the new law, congratulations to the happy gay couples.

But Brownback will continue to fight, and continue to work against the LGBT community in Kansas, and try to get his own Religious Freedom Restoration Act up and running, and then he’ll be the scourge of his state, of businesses in his state, and the laughingstock of the entire country until he changes his mind and learns to accept that the times have changed.

Again, Governor Brownback: Mike. Pence. Indiana.

Minute Rant: Bill Cosby Is A Rapist

Oh, Mr. Cosby, it’s really time that you sat down; for a good long while.

Y’all know that some forty women have stepped forward saying that Cosby drugged and raped them, and that all cases are outside the statute of limitations, so Cosby can never be tried for the crimes. And y’all know that Cosby has vehemently denied any allegations of drugging women, and his wife, Camille, has come out guns blazing to attack the victims — as has Cosby’s TV wife Phylicia Rashad.

Well, it looks like all three have some explaining to do, because in the recently unsealed deposition of a 2005 case against him — one that he tried to keep sealed because it would embarrass him — Cosby admits that he drugged women with Quaaludes in order to rape them.

Sidenote: Cosby said in the deposition, and the media says the same thing, that Bill Cosby drugged women to have sex with him. One does not drug women, against their will, without their knowledge or permission, to have sex; he drugged them to rape them because he’s a serial rapist. So please, stop calling it sex. He’s.A.Rapist.

And has admitted as much in that deposition:
“When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?” lawyer Dolores Troiani asked.
“Yes,” Cosby answered.
“Did you ever give any of these young women the Quaaludes without their knowledge?”
Cosby’s lawyer objected, leading Troiani to petition the federal judge to force Cosby to cooperate.
Cosby later said he gave one woman three half-pills of Benadryl.Benadryl; even though he purchased Quaaludes?
Rapist. Liar.

Minute Rant: Jeb "He Really Is The Stupid One" Bush

Jeb Bush was speaking to his base, a group of religious zealot wingnut conservative Republicans who hate anyone who isn’t a religious zealot wingnut conservative Republican last week and said the debate over same-sex marriage should continue “irrespective of what the courts say.”

Oh honey, you can debate it all you want, but it’ll be over, so clutch your pearls, take a seat and be quiet.

But, while his own party wishes people like Jeb and Ben and Marco and Ted would just stop talking about the issue — the party wants it to just go away — these men Who Want To Be President are standing firm that they’ll do something if elected.

And here’s what they’ll do: they’ll pander to the base about the issue, and when SCOTUS declares equality the law of the land they’ll repeat how they will fight and fume and stomp, and, goddess forbid, if one of them does get elected, they’ll swing to the middle and quietly forget about it because they are all a bunch of lying hypocritical pandering asshats.

Still Jeb — no last name, please because, Bush — says he will not let the issue die:
“It’s got to be important over the long haul, irrespective of what the courts say. In a country like ours we should recognize the power of a man and a woman loving their children with all their heart and soul as a good thing, as something that is positive and helpful for those children to live a successful life."
Um, Jeb, you clinking clanking clacking collection of caliginous junk? No one … no one … believes, truly, that allowing same-sex couples the right to marry will hurt any child or destroy one single hetero-marriage.

That argument is as old and as lame as your asshat father’s ‘No New Taxes’ line and your dim-bulb brother’s ‘Mission Accomplished’ shiz.

Jeb? You can leave your last name out of it but it’s clear that you are the dumbest limb in the entire Bush.

Minute Rant: Cop Murders Ex-Wife And Fellow Officers Console Him

Phillip Seidle lives in Neptune Township, New Jersey. In May he and his wife divorced and a nasty custody battle ensued, and last week Phillip Seidle shot his ex-wife in front of their daughter and his co-workers.

Oh, and before I forget, Phillip Seidle has been on the Neptune Township Police force for twenty-two years so those co-workers were fellow police officers.

It all began with Seidle chasing his wife through town in his car — his seven-year-old daughter with him — ended after Tamara Seidle crashed a parked car. Seidle then slammed into her car, got out of his vehicle, took out his service weapon, and began shooting into his ex-wife’s car. He then placed the gun to his own head and paced around the scene, with his daughter still in his car.

This all went down quickly, but Asbury Park police officers — in the area responding to an unrelated car accident — witnessed the events, and were finally able to talk Seidle into letting his daughter out of the car. But, once she was safe, Seidle fired more shots into his ex-wife's car before turning the gun on himself once again and shouting:
“You guys don’t understand. I’m tired of paying alimony. I don’t get to see my children.”
This all happened in the space of half an hour; for thirty minutes police officers watched an armed man rant in the street, shoot his wife to death, threaten to kill himself, and yet they never fired a single shot at him. And so one would wonder if they had done so, would Tamara Seidle have survived, because for thirty minutes she was left bleeding and dying while officers “talked” to Seidle.

Sadly, it gets more disgusting. Police officers were able to convince Seidle to surrender, and at that point several of his fellow officers hugged him and patted him and consoled him, and then allowed a fellow officer to sit by his side in the patrol car on the way back to the station.

Not quite the “rough ride” Freddie Gray took. And the half hour it took to wait out Seidle’s surrender is quite different than the roughly two seconds it took police officers to shoot Tamir Rice to death for brandishing a toy pistol.

And yet people wonder why we are beginning to question who becomes a law enforcement officer?  Why we question their tactics and motives? People are wondering why everyone talks race in these crimes when we see black men shot down in the streets, choked to death in the streets, beaten to death in police vans, but a white police officer who shot his own wife in full view of his colleagues, gets the surrender while his wife dies?

Something is terribly wrong here ….

Minute Rant: WTF South Carolina

This past Wednesday night nine people were killed in a racist terror attack in a Charleston Church, and so yesterday, in a tribute to those nine people who died because of racism in this country, and the availability of guns to terrorists, the two flags atop the South Carolina Statehouse — the state flag and the American flag — were lowered to half-staff. They will stay there for nine days in honor of each one of the victims.

And yet one flag still flies high and, to some, proud over the capitol building: the Confederate flag on statehouse grounds.

And that wasn’t an oversight, or a mistake. It’s state law in South Carolina. And while Governor Haley has jurisdiction over how and when state flags fly, the Confederate flag is under the authority of the state's General Assembly. It can't be changed in any way without a sign-off from the General Assembly.

And apparently, our General Assembly doesn’t give a lick about what flying that flag, that hateful, hate-filled flag, means to the people of Charleston, and the families of the victims.

WTF South Carolina. WTF?

Minute Rant: Shannon Grove Showed Off Her Crazy

Shannon Grove is a California Assemblywoman, and a Republican, and a Bible-thumping loon who is so crazy that even the wacknuts she supports are trying to distance themselves from her.

She’s Pro-life, as is her choice, and she’s also certifiably insane, as maybe isn’t her choice, but the other day, while speaking to her anti-abortion base she said this:
"Texas was in a long period of drought until Governor Perry signed the fetal pain bill. It rained that night. Now God has His hold on California."
Yes, she is blaming the horrendous drought that California is suffering on abortion because, God, drought, fetus. Ad when her insanity went viral, as happens when elected officials reveal their crazy, she tried to fix it by saying:
"I believe - and most Americans believe - that God’s hand is in the affairs of man, and certainly was in the formation of this country. The Founders put God in the center of this nation by recognizing Him as a giver of our rights. Is this drought caused by God? Nobody knows. But biblical history shows a consequence to man’s actions; we do know for sure that California’s water shortage crisis has been compounded by liberal politicians’ poor decisions -  not properly managing our water resources and refusing to build water storage for decades."
So, wait … is it God … or the Democrats?

And the best part of Grove’s lunacy, other than the sheer joy of seeing a so-called educated person act the fool  is that the head of Pro-Life Kern County—much of which is in Grove’s district—said this:
"You can be proudly pro-life and not be a national joke. But comments like this make you a joke and undermine her position on abortion."
Look, let me make this queer: when your own wingnut supporters tell you that you’re gone too far, and that you’re a lunatic, maybe it’s time to check into a rubber room.

Minute Rant: Lt. Governor Asshat of North Carolina

So, up there in North Carolina, the state legislature passed a law that said public officials ... public officials … could opt out of marrying same-sex couples because of their deeply held bigotry … or religion.

The governor vetoed the bill because, well, inequality is wrong, but the legislature overrode the veto and now state officials can tell same-sex couples to get to stepping, we don’t want your kind gettin’ married up in here.

And then North Carolina's Lt. Governor, and wingnut, of course, Dan Forest stepped into the fray,  appeared on the virulently anti-LGBT Family Research Council's "Washington Watch" program to discuss the issue with host Craig James.

He said, and with a straight face, apparently, that far from being unconstitutional, the new law is actually “upholding the Constitution” because the legislature is the one that assigns duties to magistrates. He added that the law “doesn’t discriminate against anybody, instead it does just the opposite” by supposedly protecting the religious freedom of state magistrates.

It doesn’t discriminate against anybody it just allows magistrates to tell The Gays to go home because they don’t like The Gays and that is not, it’s not, foot stomp, head snap, discrimination.

The Craig James, who likens the idea that a state official having to perform a same-sex marriage is the one suffering discrimination added:
“Help me out here, because I’m just somewhat of a country boy. Go find someone else who will perform your ceremony! What’s wrong with that concept?”
Yeah! Someone tell Rosa Parks to find another bus to ride, one that will let her sit down.

Someone tell Mildred and Richard Loving to find another state that will allow marriage between the races.

And someone tell those queers to go find another place to get married.

We just don’t want that kind of thing happening here, you know.

Minute Rant: The View Replaces Crazy With Crazy

Okay, so I figured The View, which is losing co-hosts almost as fast as they’re losing viewers, couldn’t dig up a crazier co-host than Sherri Bible-Thumper Shepherd, who once famously claimed that because she believed every word in the Bible, she wasn’t sure that the Earth wasn’t flat — I guess my Bible missed the chapter on Flat Earth. And I kinda wished she’d tried to prove her point by walking to the edge of Earth and jumping off.

And then The View hired Jenny McCarthy who hasn’t uttered a coherent sentence in her entire life, and thinks bug-eyes and guffaw teeth are comedy gold, and Rite-Aid readers are a sign of intelligence.

The show bounced those two, and replaced them with Nicole Wallace, the token GOP, Rosie Perez, the token Latina, and Rosie O’Donnell, the token gay or the token crazy. Rosie O left the show a couple of months in because her third Minute-Marriage was ending, and so The View began auditioning co-hosts and this week they announced that they’d scraped the bottom of the barrel and found one:

Raven-Symoné. I know. They’ve replaced Dumb and Dumber, and lesbian, with, well, here are a few things Raven has said while auditioning:
“I never said I wasn’t black, I said I wasn’t African American — to me that’s a difference. Thank you to Ancestry.com for sending me my DNA test … I am from every continent in Africa except for one and I’m also from every continent in Europe except for one.”
All together now: Africa is made up of many continents, and so is Europe. And someone, please send Raven a book of maps.

Then there was the time she took some guy from Univision to task for comparing Michelle Obama to an ape:
“Michelle, don’t fire me from this right now, but some people look like animals. I look like a bird. So can I be mad if somebody calls me Toucan Sam?”
WTF? She doesn’t even get the idea of that racist Univision remark? She should’a traveled to that last continent on Africa and taken a class or something.

For her part, Raven said this about her new job:
“The Disney Company has made another one of my dreams come true! Being a part of ‘The View’ family will be a wonderful growing experience for me. The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host. I want to thank ABC, ABC News and The Disney Company for believing in me and my potential! Let’s have some fun!”
Um, before fun, howsabout a little education? A little thinking before you speak? Oh hell, she’ll stay because the show needs stupid … and because they haven’t announced yet who the fifth co-host might be.

I’d like to suggest a friend of mine I call Cancellation.

Minute Rant: American Airlines Is F**ked Up

I hate airlines, for all their jacked-up pricing and ridiculous fees for just about everything, but American Airlines has sunk to a new low, possibly the lowest of lows.

Theresa Purcell, who suffers from a neurological disorder, uses a wheelchair to get about, and says the gate attendant for the San Diego commuter flight on American Airlines told her that it was too late to set up the wheelchair ramp for her so … Theresa got out of her wheelchair and crawled to her plane, and not one member of the airport team, or the airline, helped her.
"I crawled up onto the steps. I crawled into the plane. There was no other way for me to get on the plane so I crawled up to the plane. I was humiliated. It was embarrassing to have 50-something people watch you crawl into a plane."
Theresa has filed a lawsuit demanding $2.5 million from American and her attorney says if the case goes to court before it’s settled, she’ll ask for $6 million in damages.

Oh, and American Airlines has basically admitted they’re guilty, and acknowledged the airline was in violation of the Air Carrier Access Act, a federal law that requires airlines to provide the necessary assistance for disabled passengers to allow them to enter and exit planes safely. American Airlines says:
"On behalf of US Airways and American Airlines, please accept our apologies for the difficulties Ms. Purcell experienced with her request for level entry boarding. It is imperative to provide essential care and to have a sensitive approach when assisting our passengers who have special needs.
We regret that a ramp was not requested so Ms. Purcell would be able to board the aircraft without going up the stairs, assistance should have been provided shortly thereafter. Based on what you've shared, it appears our employees didn't provide the attentive, courteous and professional service we expect as a company. I understand how the way you are treated can affect your impression of our" airline and sympathize with your displeasure.
After review of the facts, American Airlines admits they were in violation of CFR 14 Part 382 for not having provided level entry boarding as requested."
American Airlines has agreed to pay two million dollars in reparations, but I say that’s not enough. I say they pay the $6 million, and I say that Theresa Purcell flies First Class, for free, for the rest of her life, and is catered to like no one on earth has ever been catered to before.

This is disgusting. American Airlines needs to be sued and fined and publicly shamed for their behavior. Oh, and that gate attendant needs to be fired.

Minute Rant: The Duggar Girls Are Still Victims ... Of Their Need To Be Famous

So, a couple of Josh Duggars’ victims — two of the sisters he ‘duggared’ while they slept — Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald broke their silence about their older brother and his naughty ways with them when they were sleeping children and it’s as loony as one might imagine.
Jessa says:
"I think in the case of what Josh did, it was very wrong. I'm not going to justify anything he did or say it was okay or permissible. But I do want to speak up in his defense against people who are calling him a child molester or pedophile or rapists. That is so overboard and a lie really. People get mad at me for saying that, but I can say this. I was one of the victims. I can speak out and set the record straight here."

First up, Jessa, he is a child molester, so don’t try to rewrite history, m’kay?  You were a victim as a child and apparently you are still a victim today because you seek to make his crimes seem really inconsequential and accidental; they aren’t. Creeping into the rooms of sleeping girls seven times and fondling them, both over and under their clothes, is not just a mistake.

It’s a pattern of abuse, that Jill says really makes no difference because she never knew it was happening, so I guess if a victim of molestation doesn’t wake up during the abuse, or, maybe she did wake up, but then blocked it out, then all should just be swept under the rug. But Jill goes further, saying that what happened to her was "very mild compared to what happened to some."

Well, aren’t we all so happy to know that you’re thrilled Josh didn’t go further and that groping you while you slept, both over and under your clothes, on multiple occasions, is kinda fine for you.

Let’s be clear, this lovely bit of acceptance at being sexually abused by their brother comes at a time when a spin-off of that Duggar show — featuring the daughters, including Jill and Jessa — is up in the air, so this all reeks of trying to salvage their Golden Egg of TV Fame; maybe the girls think if they just play down the fact their brother is a sexual predator they can still have a TV show and not have to get a real job.

Molested by their brother. Brainwashed by their parents. Trying to sell themselves to TV. Pretending to be devout Christians, and spewing their hypocrisy, because, had this been an outsider who climbed in a window and molested those girls, you can bet it would have been filmed and aired as a Very Special Episode.

Don’t put any of them back on TV. Ever.
