Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a terrible idea..................

It appears that the seven castaways of Gilligan's Island have found a new home at Warner Bros. and Atlas Entertainment, who have teamed up to develop a feature film based on the forty-something-year-old TV show.

Really? I have two words for you Warner Bros.: Be.Witched.

Two more: Won't. Work.

They've actually, though, lined up producers for this shipwreck, as well as a screenwriter, and even original show producer, Sherwood Schwartz, plans to be the executive producer of this three-hour failure.

The producers and writer are planning to update the story for the movies. Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't we seen an updated version of the old marooned on a desert island theme.

Lost, anyone?

If they do this in the same vein as "The Brady Bunch" I think it would be wonderful. But, that is so hard to pull off.

  2. Even as a kid, I always wanted to see The Professor in short-shorts like Mary Ann wore.

  3. Maybe they'll make a a dark tale, with Maryanne sold off to slavery, And Gilligan seeking anonymous unprotected rain forest sex with native hotties.
