Grampa Talks Crazy

I'm not sure which is scarier.

That Sarah Palin might have been a heartbeat away, or that this pandering fool might have been the heartbeat. He isn't shocked that Palin up and quit, and he doesn't believe that she made a promise to the people of Alaska to be their governor. And he thinks she's good for the country.

We dodged a bullet big time last November.

  1. Don't you see? He's up for reelection to the Senate in 2010. If he was to say now that picking Palin was a mistake, or discredit her in any way, that would be committing career suicide. He'd never win the election.

However if he wins reelection and is safe for the next 6 years, you can bet the next day he'll be Grand Marshall of the Sarah Palin Sucks Parade. But until then, picking Palin as his running mate was the most brilliant thing he's ever done (wink, wink).

  2. Oh, for Pete's sake. I swear, I wanted to pick up my laptop and throw it through a window after watching that. (Just kidding, baby, I'd never do that to you!) Deep down, he knows damn well that Palin most likely cost him the election. And he can't recall anyone in recent political history that was so maligned as the Palins? Really, John? Have you forgotten about the Clintons so soon? Maybe he has Alzheimer's.

  3. Gandpa needs to retire and go puttering around the garden, where he might still be of some use.

  5. What Palin's reasons for running in the first place...to make a difference she would like us to believe, but it becomes clearer and cleareer that she is just a power glutton, that it's all about making a difference in her own life only.

  6. Larry Ohio is right. If he admits she's a loon, then he looks like a loon, too.

Ironically, he looks even loonier trying to cover up.

  7. That was so uncomfortable to watch! I agree with Larry Ohio. Damned if he does; damned if he doesn't.
