White Christmas

A lot of people think Bing Crosby first sang this in the movie White Christmas. Not so; he first sang it in Holiday Inn, one of my favorite Christmas movies. Here he sings it with Marjorie Reynolds.

  1. I agree... Holiday Inn is the movie to watch on Christmas Eve!

  2. & I love the verse, which is not sung often, but I always do it when I sing this number:

    The sun is shining,
    the grass is green,
The orange and palm trees sway.

There's never been such a day
    in Beverly Hills, L.A.
    But it's December the twenty-fourth,
And I am longing to be up North...

  4. They always play "Holiday Inn" near Christmas time on the classic movie channel, and I always love watching it. Great song.
