Hey Jason? STFU

Congressman Jason Chaffetz, a Utah Republican, has renewed his pledge to prevent Washington DC from allowing marriage equality, even though the city council overwhelmingly approved the legislation this week.

Chaffetz, who sits on a House subcommittee that oversees the district, is acknowledging the uphill battle he faces to overturn the newly adopted ordinance, which the Washington mayor is expected to sign before Christmas, and says, "It's going to be exceptionally difficult because Democrats have us outnumbered by large amounts. Nevertheless, we're going to try...[i]f it were put up for a vote, traditional marriage would win. It would win with a congressional vote, and it would win with the residents of Washington, D.C."

Jason, sweetheart, let's start by stopping the "traditional marriage" line; nothing about marriage is traditional, you wingnut. Even straight people don't treat it like they once did. And, here's something new, Jason, you clinking clanking clacking collection of caliginous junk [blatantly stolen from The Wizard of Oz], why don't you try working on fixing the economy, or getting us out of battle zones around the world, or, oh, I dunno, health care. Maybe you could even focus on your own district in your own state rather than subjecting anyone else to your own simplistic narrowminded viewpoint.

Asshat.

  2. I find it too interesting when an idiot lawmaker steps forward to say they will overturn the vote of other lawmakers cause he knows better. So, should he vote for nothing himself, and just put everything up for a public vote? He'd be outta a job, methinks.
