Palin Doesn't Put Her Money Where Her Big Fat Mouth Is

There it is. Sarah Palin's Bullseye. Y'all remember that, right? The Half-Wit-Half-Term-Ex-Governor-Quitter posted the image on her FaceBook page, showing the 20 or so political races for the US Congress on which she was going to focus. Except that, she didn't.

Oh, she stumped for Granddaddy McCain in Arizona, and she talked up Michele Bachmann's strong pints [that makes me giggle....Michele Bachmann's strong points!] in Minnesota. But Palin's SarahPAC didn't donate to either candidate.

Nope. She talked, but kept her purse closed.

Although SarahPAC took in some $400,000 in the first quarter of 2010, and had roughly a million bucks in the bank already, it donated a meager $7,500 to five candidates between January and March. Oh, and it gave another $2,000 to a couple of other PACs: the Iraq Veterans for Congress and Combat Veterans for Congress. Not one penny went to Republicans in the races she targeted.

Since its inception, SarahPAC has raised more than $2.5 million and spent more than $1.6 million--over $400,000 was spent in in the first quarter of 2010 alone. So, you may ask, where did Moose Mess spend the money?
  • $243,000 for consultants; for legal services, media strategy, fundraising, candidate
  • $42,000 designated for travel; some $3,700 spent to de-ice private planes.
  • $31,780 for postage;
  • $25,000 for Internet fundraising
  • $11,596 to photographer Shaelah Craighead--Laura Bush's White House photographer
Palin gave more to a photographer than she gave to all her preferred candidates combined.

So, what does this tell us about the Half-Wit-Half-Term-Ex-Governor-Quitter? She doesn't do what she says; she doesn't fund races she says she'll fund. She raises money for travel and legal fees and photographers.

Yup, she's a keeper.

    Despite her protestations, I'd lay money that she's going for a 2012 run for President.

    Of course if you could put together a Palin/Bachmann ticket it would virtually guarantee a victory for Obama.

    You don't even have to try when they're that crazy.
