The Daily Hypocrite [And Utter Liar]: Mike Huckabee

Of course y’all remember Josh Duggar, of TLC’s 19 20 24 and Counting, that holier than thou family of Gay haters and Homophobes and self-righteous prigs; at least until we learned that Josh Duggar is a child molester … and also an adulterer.

And, naturally, y’all remember how members of the political right gathered around Josh, complaining about the media shaming he was undergoing, and even suggesting he was just doing what boys do … diddling their sisters and their sisters’ friends while they slept.

Biggest of all the Duggar Champions was Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor, current asshat and future failed presidential candidate [again!].

At the time of the Duggar Scandal, Huckabee, who has long enjoyed the political support of the that family, wrote a Facebook post condemning Josh Duggar’s actions, but saying he did not think they were “unforgivable”:
“Josh’s actions when he was an underage teen are as he described them himself, ‘inexcusable,’ but that doesn’t mean ‘unforgivable.’ He and his family dealt with it and were honest and open about it with the victims and the authorities. No purpose whatsoever is served by those who are now trying to discredit Josh or his family by sensationalizing the story. Good people make mistakes and do regrettable and even disgusting things.
The reason that the law protects disclosure of many actions on the part of a minor is that the society has traditionally understood something that today’s blood-thirsty media does not understand—that being a minor means that one’s judgment is not mature. No one needs to defend Josh’s actions as a teenager, but the fact that he confessed his sins to those he harmed, sought help, and has gone forward to live a responsible and circumspect life as an adult is testament to his family’s authenticity and humility.”
Funny, those are his words, and yet now he’s trying to get all of us to believe that he never supported or defended Josh Duggar, child molester, sister diddler, adulterer:
“I really didn’t support Josh. I supported his parents, if you’ll go back and look at what I said. There’s no support for what he did.”
Um, you kinda did, Mike, when you praised him for getting help, though, apparently that help didn’t work because he screwed around on his wife, too.

Fire extinguisher, please, because Huckabee’s pants are flaming.

  3. It's appalling to watch these asshats say "I didn't say that" or "That was taken out of context" when everything is documented, on record, and/or on video. Yep, liar liar pants on fire.
