Ted Cruz Voted Against A Bill Condemning [t]Rump's Muslim Ban

Last week, after Donald [t]Rump came out with his Muslims Acre My Friend’s stance to bar any of his friends from entering this country because … terrorists, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee today voted on a resolution that seemed like something we should have already known:
"It is the sense of the Senate that the United States must not bar individuals from entering into the United States based on their religion, as such action would be contrary to the fundamental principles on which this Nation was founded."
And, while [t]Rump and some of his more, um, how do I put this politely, stupid followers, believe his stance to be fair and accurate and American, most people in this country, Democrat and Republican, find it disgusting and divisive and hate-filled.

Well, except for Ted Cruz. He voted ‘No.’

Senator Cruz's immigration advisor, the apparently really racist, bigoted, intolerant, and anti-Muslim, Senator Jefferson Beauregard Sessions—the name alone kinda says it all—called the resolution "radical."

Radical. To make the stand that we will not use religion as a means to deny people entry into this country is radical. To say that we will not denounce an entire faith — the faith of some one billion people, by the way — because of the actions of a few.

Why? Well, it’s simple. Ted Cruz doesn’t want to annoy Donald [t]Rump because maybe he thinks if [t]Rump wins the nomination — something even the GOP now wants to avoid at all costs — he might get Second Chair.

Or, if this latest asshat move by [t]Rump sees him falling in the polls and losing support, Ted Cruz will swoop in with his Hate Broom and sweep up those folks for his own campaign because he’s a pathetic, hate-filled, pandering, lying, cheating, government shutting down, make the taxpayers pay for it, kind of asshat politician that we need less of in this country, and not in any position of power.

Just sayin’.

  4. In most cases of stupidity, I often think to myself, "Not my circus, not my monkeys." But, damn! These guys are our monkeys and it is our circus.

  6. So many people are focused on Trump's hateful words. But he's only louder and a bit less appropriate than the rest of that pack of idiots. He makes them look better in comparison, but the truth will out (it might not make a difference, but it will out)!
