This home is in the Ukraine, not necessarily my go-to vacation spot right now, but it looks like a castle in Italy and that, for me, is always a plus.
The home was designed to resemble a Tuscan Villa, with finishing materials, interior and exterior decorations brought in from Italy, Greece and France. The old beams, the stone walls, the rustic iron-works all scream ancient home, but it’s all new, and yet so Old World … I feel like wearing my slippers and having a ball in there tomorrow night …

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the inside of this one. All the wall colors and the woods, and the floors. The outside looks a bit to "hotel" for me, but I could probably bring some houseboys and pretend their hotel help.
ReplyDeleteThe materials used in this house are exactly what I would love in mine. The hallway and stairs makes my heart leap.
ReplyDeleteNow this may sound 'sour grapes' but this size house would destroy me. I know I'm not going to clean it, so it means hiring strangers to wander about the place with dust cloth and mop and there goes the wonderfulness of being alone, to scratch where it itches, to sing off key and make up new words for tunes I love and to lay on cool floors in the nude during the hot months of the year (or just because I want to.)
