Outstanding Guest Comment Of The Week

Well folks, it's time once again to award the coveted....coveted?,,,,ISBL Outstanding Guest Comment of the Week award--the ISBLOGCOTW, if you will.
So, without further ado.......

We had lots to say this week in I Ain't One To Gossip, But.....and some of you had words of advice, and some observations, especially about "La Paltrow":

It's amazing how so much of these stories all share the common link of "If you had just been honest, shit like this wouldn't be hitting the fan now."
I really do hope that Martyn has concrete proof, not only because people are going to come at him hard, pun intended, but also because people can't stand in the face of solid proof. Just stop the lying, it makes life easier.
Also, maybe I didn't notice before but "La Paltrow?" She's done enough now to merit her own indefinite article?

Naturally, I Didn't Say It........ brings out lots of folks saying lots of things. Here are the highlights:

contagious?!?!! Next time I see Aunties L&E I shall spray them with Lysol!

Every so often, I have some Random Musings, thoughts on things that may not, or should not, require a full post, but do elicit some sparkling commentary:

Schtupping? Isn't that what 2 pigeons do on a ledge on the side of a building in NYC?

There are times when just a photograph stirs up the voices in my blog, like on Do They Even Know What They're Talking About?:

I totally agree with them. We can all take our own trash to the dump and put out our own fires instead of relying on the socialistic Fire Department! No taxes!!

I like spreading the news when i can, especially the good news, but sometimes the good news, while nice, isn't all that good, like in Good News: Increased Funding For ADAP:

Please be advised that this isn't the Feds coming to the rescue, but rather the Feds releasing the annual appropriation approved by Congress and the President. Aside from the nearly $50 million in new money for the cash-strapped ADAPs (which is far below the $300+ million that is needed), there is NO new money here. This will help the ADAP waiting lists in the very short term, but the lists will begin growing again.

What a marvel and delight!!! I love it. And I'll move in, in a minute if three Brazilian houseboys come with it!!!

In light of all these young people killing themselves after years of being bullied, we had one story of a parent who took action, and then had action taken against her, in We Need More Parents Like Tanya Sydney:

I think we should start a legal defense fund for her. Sue the shit out of the school board, the school district, all of them for both the ban which is BLATANTLY unconstitutional, but for the violation of her civil rights and the civil rights of her son.

If ever you needed proof that there are two sides to every story, it is evident in Dakota Ary Thinks Homosexuality Is Wrong, And That's His Right.......UNLESS.........:

Being a teacher is a difficult and thankless job. If teachers are allowed to be bullied by their students under the guise of "free speech" then qualified individuals will undoubtedly choose other career paths and we'll be on the road to an even less intelligent society than the one in which we currently live. The students don't have to like their teachers but they must respect their authority.
As for the Liberty Counsel ... I find them to be a bunch of righteous and greedy lawyers with an agenda that's purely monetary. Surely, they care more about "being right" and "winning" than they do about Dakota Ary.

When you see how the GOP presidential candidates react to calls for murder, or letting healthy people die, or booing gays in the military, all at the same time, like in "Not One", it elicited all sorts of emotions, though one is most prevalent:

No witty comment here. This is a sad state of affairs that gets sadder and scarier by the day. And I use the word "sad" with all of the emotion that word can convey.

I often wonder if people say idiotic things because they're idiots, or if they say idiotic things because they want the attention. In the case of Patti Stanger Is A Moron, I think it's both:

Since Queer Eye went off the air and they lost Project Runway, I find that there is absolutely nothing to watch on Bravo!. All that's left are a bunch of ego-centric, self-centered morons. The network has really gone downhill...

Never gets easier, just less raw.

When someone comes out, i think it's a huge step forward for the LGBT community; and when someone rather well-known, comes out, it's that much bigger, as in the case of Actor Sean Maher Comes Out:

Bob, thanks for the update. Thought my gaydar might have been on the fritz during Firefly, so I had it re-tuned. Will ask Sean Maher for compensation. What could Stan and I possibly ask for?

There are times when racy photographs can cause you to lose your job,m but, sometimes, if you're a gay man, a photo with corndogs and drag queens is considered racy enough for termination. That's what happened in Caution: Stay Away From Drag Queens And Corn Dogs If You Want To Keep Your Job:

When an employer says to an employee, "We're not firing you because of 'XYZ'", you can damn well bet that's EXACTLY the reason they are getting fired

And this week's winner of the coveted...coveted?...ISBLOGCOTW Award come from a post about My-Girlfriend-In-My-Head, Adele--Seriously, I Am In LOVE With This Woman....Still--and the video for "Someone Like You":

I feel like a Cathy comic when I hear her. But I love her though

Congrats to WonderMan, who won for the vision he created in my head of him....as Cathy!
Now that's a cartoon I'd read everyday!
