Minute Rant: Welcome to Twitter, N****r!

Okay, so it’s no secret that I am all for Free Speech, but when it borders on stupid, ignorant, death threat, well, all bets are off.

Yesterday President Obama announced that he has his own Twitter account; I Tweeted back to him a very simple, ‘Thanks Obama!’

Other people … ignorant, chickenshits, who, for the most part, hide behind fake names and Twitter handles, weren’t so welcoming … and these are screenshots from Addicting Info in case these bigots and cowards decide to delete them and act like they have no idea that they’ve shown the world how ignorant they are:

I’m sure there are more, but this disgusts me.

Look, I get it; some of you hate Obama, and you have every right. But hate the man, not the Black man; hate the President, not the black President. But then if all you know is bigotry and ignorance, well, then I guess education is too little too late.

Now, in order to wash my blog of this foolishness, I’ll share a Tweet from a former President — and perhaps future First Gentleman — and a reply from our sitting President.

Again, Thanks Obama, for taking the high road, and not wallowing in the mud with the ignorant bigots!

  3. I am horrified at those responses. I cannot imagine how Obama feels. But perhaps as a public figure one can get used to this type of feedback. As a private citizen, I find it scary.

OTOH, his exchange with Clinton was super. :)

  5. What is wrong with Americans? This makes me feel less confident for a happier, peaceful, less divided future for our country.

  8. Despicable, rotten human beings. As bad, or worse than any who have ever walked the planet. That is the conclusion I have come to regards about half of the population of this country. I am sick of them!
