Greco-Roman Wrestling: Where Do I Sign Up?

Olympic wrestling …had I known this was an Olympic sport I would have auditioned for it a long time ago.

And then there’s the Greco-Roman discipline, which is a style where wrestlers can use their arms and upper-bodies to bring their opponents down, and they are not allowed to grapple below the waist.

Wait. No grappling below the waist? Where’s the fun in that?

  1. Well, yes, we do have Greco-Roman wrestling but it is not exactly as it was back in the 'good old days' when those who were involved did so without anything on but a nice thin covering of oil -- no more, no less. Wearing anything else disqualified the entrant.

We do it that way around Casa Bob y Carlos ... just a light coating of oil and nothing more!

  6. Since you used the word "audition", you might have the wrong idea about how to participate . . . just saying
