Pita Nikolas Taufatofua.
The name slips off the tongue as though it’s covered in baby.
Pita is on Team Tonga at this year’s Olympics in Taekwondo, but so far it’s been his oiled up and hot entrance as the Tongan flag-bearer that’s peak our interest … among other things.
But Pita isn’t just about baby oil and big poles — see what I did there — he’s also about helping those less fortunate. The Australian-born — oh the list of jokes I could do about going down under is enedless — 32 -year-old has spent most of his “adult life working in homeless shelters with the underprivileged to show and teach people the power of self belief.”
Hot and kind and generous and oily and living on Tonga, an archipelago of 169 islands in the South Pacific between New Zealand and Hawaii.
I’m packing my grass skirt and my baby oil.
Pita???

Just a caution, oiling up something that hot can cause third degree burns! Somebody should probably volunteer to lick it off for the man's own safety!

Between the opening ceremonies, the male gymnastics, water polo, rowing, and swimming....its gonna get hot and steamy. My Saturday post featured my favorite swimmer...Amini Fonua.
ReplyDeleteWhat about your female Muslim fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad; bet Trump doesn't care for her!
