Cotillard has represented Dior since 2008, when she won the Oscar for Best Actress. Often, Dior selects what she wears. I frankly don't think she really is into the fashion scene enough to tell Dior that she doesn't like a dress they chose. On the other hand, she's known to be an "out of the box" thinker, so maybe she does choose some dresses. In this case, I'd suggest everyone blame Dior rather than Cotillard. (BTW, I didn't get her BAFTA dress in 2008, either.)
I think my daughter might have had that dress when she was a toddler...
