The home of Modern Family's Phil and Claire Dunphy [Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen] is for sale and if you wanna live in a TV show house--and let it make a little money for you -- the asking price is $2.35 million.
Located in the Cheviot Hills area of West Los Angeles, the exterior of the 2,792-square-foot, four-bedroom house is regularly used by ABC, while the interior scenes are shot on a sound stage recreated in a similar layout to the home.
The house features an elegant formal dining room connecting to a gourmet kitchen with professional Viking range and marble countertops, and a family room that opens on the patio and garden. The two-story, traditional home also has mahogany hardwood floors, crown molding and is surrounded by mature trees, states real estate site.
Current owner Paul Chiames is paid a fee by the studio for each filming and the new owner will have the option of doing the same; no idea how much they pay, but it could help with the mortgage, no?
But that cash could also be sued for security as fans of the Emmy award-winning show are known to regularly knock on the door asking for tours or wanting to take photos out front.
It's cute, but a little tract-y, and, well, I love me some fans, but asking to tour my house? Wait ... more income! This house might just pay for itself!
But maybe I'll hold out for Jay and Gloria's house to come on the market. It has a working gate!

My understanding is that the studios pay fairly well for those shots. But I wouldn't want to deal with the gawkers! Anyway, I would enjoy Jay and Gloria's house.
