For the second week in a
row, we’ve crowned a Texan as the ISBL Asshat of the Week.
This time it’s Chris Mapp,
a GOP candidate from Texas running for the United States Senate. And Mapp seems
to fit right into that Same Old GOP, the Party of Racist, Anti-Gay, Anti-Women,
God Created America, asshats that we’ve come to know and loathe.
How so, you say? Glad you
asked.
Chris Mapp has come forward to say said that
ranchers in border states, though he’s probably really only thinking about
Texas, should be allowed to shoot
“wetbacks” if they’re caught on their land.
Yes. Wetbacks. And as if
that wasn’t bad enough, when called on his ignorance at the use of that word,
Mapp defended himself by saying that using the term “wetback” to describe undocumented
immigrants is as “normal as breathing air in South Texas.”
Racist air, I’m guessing.
Now, maybe a lot of folks
in South Texas do use that word commonly, but does that make it right? Of course
not; when you know better, you do better, but Chris Mapp doesn’t seem to know
any better. That word is as much a slur as n***er and f***ot and for anyone,
much less someone who wants to represent his state in the US Senate to use it,
and then toss aside the criticism, is the height of asshattery. There is
nothing quite like a GOP candidate advocating murder to clearly show that, as much
as they say it, they haven’t changed, and probably never will change.
And, if we want to take his
argument further, how does one identify a “wetback”? And if you accidentally
shot someone who happened to look like one, but wasn’t, would that be okay,
too? Or, do we ask Texas ranchers to ask to see the papers of anyone on their
land who looks like a “wetback” and if papers aren’t presented do they simply
fire at will?
Texas.
To add fuel to the fire of
Chris Mapp’s indoctrination into the ISBL Asshat of the Week family, we can
also share with you all that he has called President Obama a “socialist
son of a bitch." Of course, that just shows
that Chris Mapp has no idea what a socialist really is, but, hey, the GOP does
that all of the time. Chris Mapp's comments, on undocumented immigrants and the
President just further show how far out of touch the GOP truly is, and how far they
would have to travel, how far they’d have to progress, just to be a smidge less
hateful and bigoted and intolerant.
And just plain stupid.
Chris Mapp. The ISBL Asshat of the Week.
We need workers here in WA state!!

Why haven't we made it easier to register and travel as a worker? We keep talking about it but it does not happen.
And besides isn't it just plain wrong to shoot people? It's called murder.
It is also wrong to call people offensive names but, if you are willing to murder someone, I guess you don't care too much about name calling.
We should really try to make some deal with Mexico where they have to take Texas back.
ReplyDeleteI wanna slap that white male asshat POS SOB MFer's face so hard. then do it again. then do it again. and keep on doing it til I slap the h8 outta him.
ReplyDeleteToday's GOP, just plain stupid.
ReplyDeleteIs this another example of the Paula Deen Defense? "I kain't hep it, ya'll. That's juss how I'z razed."
ReplyDeleteSadly, the people of Texas will probably vote for this goon because their preachers will tell them to. And we all know it's easier to do what the preacher says than to actually think for ourselves.
No label required.....white...brown green....do not come here illegaly.....
