Architecture Wednesday

This is Casa Ron Ron.
One of those unforgettable dream houses. Designed by Victor Cañas studio, it sits in a long narrow field in Costa Rica overlooking the sea, the beach and volcanoes in the distance. It features these brilliant views from many of its rooms and several decks. One of these decks is built around a native Costa Rica tree that is always presented as a foreground in all these views.

The house features two floors, with public areas downstairs and private spaces upstairs. The guest bedroom is separated from the house but attached to it with a wooden bridge by the pool. The access to the house is possible only via concrete tiles on the water. The whole house is designed to live outdoors and enjoy beautiful views that surround it.

  2. Whoa! It's the next best thing to living outside! I love the ocean view, the trees, and most of all the tranquility that an uncluttered, mimimalist home has.

  3. I love this place. The only word I can come up for it is breathtaking. Or is that two words?

  4. I can only deduce from photos like these that people with open air beach palaces are very comfortable with being seen, in all manner of dress and undress.
