Again, I don't know why anyone, who isn't making money hand over fist, and then depositing it into a Cayman Islands bank account, a la Mittsy, would want to vote Republican.
The GOP doesn't like the Middle Class, they like the rich.
The GOP doesn't like The Gays, or Woman, or, well, anyone with half a brain, because those people tend to think, and read, and listen--to something other than FoxNews--and can see what the GOP wants for America. The same GOP that swept into Congress a couple of years back and they've done......what? Nothing.
Well, now the GOP, by way of Huckleberry Hound Paul Ryan, are doing something. They are planning on dipping their sticky fingers into the wallets of Middle Class America and asking us to pay more in taxes, while giving tax breaks to the richest Americans.
That, folks, is the GOP.
Now, according to a study prepared by the congressional Joint Economic Committee and verified by independent experts, the House GOP budget authored by Budget Committee Chairman and GOP wingnut Paul Ryan would raise taxes on families making less than $200,000, even as it gives millionaires a tax cut:
Although households earning $100,000 to $200,000 a year would save about $7,000 from the lower tax rates in the GOP plan, those savings would be swamped by eliminating major deductions.
The net result: Married couples in that income range would pay an additional $2,700 annually to the Internal Revenue Service, on top of the tax increases that are scheduled to hit every American household when the George W. Bush-era cuts expire at the end of the year.
But, households earning more than $1 million a year, meanwhile, could see a net tax cut of about $300,000 annually.
So, Mittsy and his pals can save about 300K a year while those people struggling would pay more.
Sounds fair, eh?
And then think about the fact that the GOP budget would also hurt those folks making less than $30,000 per year, because it doesn’t extend some of the tax cuts for low-income Americans that President Obama has signed into law.
Republicans, meanwhile, says that these analyses are :::foot stomp and head snap::: unfair because they have yet to lay out their entire plan, including exactly which tax deductions and loopholes they plan to do away with.
So, let me get this queer. They've laid out their plan, but they haven't laid out all of it, and they wants us to accept that? Here's some of what they're gonna do, but they won't say anymore, because, really, it's none of your business.
That's the GOP.
And why anyone who makes less that $200,000 a year, and there are a lot of us out there, would vote for a party that wants to tax us more while giving money back to the rich, is beyoind me.

Paul Ryan is an asshole!
ReplyDeleteIt's beyond me, also. Mom said my step-dad is planning on voting Romney because the President is going to take his guns away. Really? How do we even fight against the propaganda?
