The fact that legislators can so dispassionately restrict voting rights but are totally against restricting gun rights is beyond ironic - it is criminally insane.
What a week. This sums it up perfectly. REPUGS are terrible human beings and even worse at their jobs. Transgender youth just became another look over here hot topic to distract us all from the real fight. The NRA and the Repugs have got to go. This nation has got to get over its gun obsession. Chip away, kids.
Thought-provoking as always. I wonder how Clay Bennett's terrific cartoon went down in Chattanooga (seeing that's the paper he works for)? I like the Dewey-defeats-Truman reference in the Jim Crow cartoon but I wonder if people get it.
@Jim And then have Georgians, who already turned the state Blue, do it in their governor's office.
@Todd It is a nice history lesson, as is #8 in a way.
@TDM I think we'd have less mass shootings if it came true.
@AM I think you're right, though it's because the Democrats are too nice while the GQP cheats and lies.
@uptonking There is NO reason to have an assault weapon in your house; that is simply a murder gun.
@Steve I think Bennett causes a lot of heads to explode and a lot of others to think. And that Darrin Bell one might miss the mark with folks who don't know their history but seemed so perfect to me..
While it's good the vaccine is here....I was really hoping the virus would claim far more idiots first.......still not enough for my liking. I told you I could be evil.
Honestly, the Gun's for Sale took my breath away.

ReplyDeleteThe Georgia voting "law" is a crime. Here is hoping it gets overturned in the courts. Kick Kemp to the curb.
ReplyDeleteThe young folks won't understand #7, but this will be a good opportunity to teach them some history. #8 is also very good.
ReplyDeleteThat last one.
ReplyDeleteSooo wish it would happen.
take care. xoxo
sobering slices of life this week, bob. not funny. MAGAts and gun freaks and religious nutjobs are ruining this country.

ReplyDelete@Dave
ReplyDeleteMost likely, because it's true.
@Debra
Wouldn't it be nice?
@Frank
You are correct, sir!

ReplyDeleteOh honey, you're not evil. You're correct!
Some weeks, it is hard not to cry, but voting against the idiot and bigots is always worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteThat voting booth, though.
ReplyDeleteSo true. So infuriating.
XOXO
@Travel
ReplyDeleteThat's our recourse: vote them out.
@Six
Yeah, that one hurts because it's becoming true; or at least, before all the lawsuits are settled, trying to become true.
