Good morning Bob - Sadie J said exactly what I was thinking when seeing the Colin Kaperernick cartoon. Also, the Q- Sucker at the top of this week's collection says it all about that subject. Keep up the great work!
Just want to thank you for so faithfully providing the Sunday Funnies...It's something I always look forward to as I don't always read every weekday post. And these are cartoons many of us would not get to see otherwise. Merrick Garland is not the only one who will be cleaning up after the prior administration. Thankfully there are adults in charge now.
The one of setting up hurdles to vote - I just fail to understand why so many more aren't totally OUTRAGED at what's been going on in Georgia and, no doubt, will happen elsewhere before long. I'm utterly speechless - as I wish many others also were, literally.
Always thought-provoking! Lincoln wouldn't recognize the modern Republican party...just as racist, pro-KKK Democrats of yore wouldn't recognize the modern Democratic party.
The Kaepernick one is 100% spot on. It's only cancel culture if it's on "their" side, not if they are the ones doing it.
ReplyDeleteAn odd time, really odd
ReplyDeleteThese are all so great today!
ReplyDeleteI do like the Philly mascot and the Queen. So true. But remember, there are no royal racists.
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! Gritty is just a mascot and the Queen is...oh, wait.
ReplyDeleteAnother great collection.

ReplyDeletehad to snicker at the lincoln one, and gritty too.

ReplyDelete@Sadie
ReplyDeleteThat's the GQP hypocrisy!
@Travel
At least there's no "Thing #45"*
*I stole that from Todd at http://arteejee.blogspot.com/
@Debra
The cartoonists are en fuego!
@Dave
Nope, not in THAT klan.
@Todd
Thank you sir.
@Jim
The GQP cancels all the time and it's okay, but when the libs do it, it's all kinds of wrong!
@Frank
Glad you enjoy 'em and glad you stop by!
@AM
I could see Lincoln writing that letter.
@Raybeard
It's sickening that any politician anywhere would support making it HARDER for people to vote.
@TDM
Honestly, Abe.
@Steve
Things change around here.
I loved the Merrick Garland one. I hope he comes through.
ReplyDeleteAnd the A Lincoln one had me chuckling.
@MM
ReplyDeleteI'd like some Garland revenge.
all very good ones.
ReplyDeleteThat last one is saddest of all.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, I think Fox News is adrift. They have nothing. But small potatoes. That's okay. They go with their small minds.
Abe is my fave toon today.
Thanks for sharing these. Always an interesting snapshot of our times.
Great thoughts to ponder on. Thanks for sharing and warm greetings!
