Bobservations

They say opposites attract and you don’t get much more opposite than Carlos and me.

Case in point: this morning I woke up at 5:45AM and used the bathroom. I got back in bed and realized I was awake and not going back to sleep so I fed the cats, turned the heat on and paid some bills.

Carlos, on the other hand, awoke at 6:50AM to use the bathroom and then came into the office and asked why I was up. I told him why and then he said, “Well, I’m going back to bed until the alarm goes off.”

That was at 6:56AM and the alarm goes off at 7 AM.

Opposites.

This week’s Tuxedo memory is from April 2014 and is creatively entitled:

“Photo of the Week

Yeah yeah yeah. it's another picture of Tuxedo--the most handsome cat ever -- but if I wanna dub it 'Photo of the Week' then I'll do it!”

And I did, and do, and will ….

Floridian ... which explains everything ... Cynthia Kelly is suing Hershey because she claims its holiday-themed Reese’s peanut butter candies lack the artistic details shown on the packaging that made them worth buying.

Kelly says she would not have paid $4.49 for a bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins had she known that the candies not only lacked the “cute looking” carved eyes and mouth shown on the packaging, but any carvings at all and so she wants $5 million.

Only in America, I think.

It has been brought to my attention that the stick figure decals on the back windows of many cars are NOT pedestrian "kill" scores but are meant to represent members of your family.

I will be removing mine ASAP to avoid any further confusion.

$19,660,000,000. That's the profit Exxon just posted for third quarter of 2023, the highest in their 152-year history so it’s not inflation, y’all, it’s corporate greed.

Eat the rich.

I have just added three new titles to my book list and cannot wait to start them …

Pageboy is actor Elliott Page’s “brutally honest” coming-of-age memoir.  Elliot shares his story with never-before-heard details and intimate interrogations on gender, love, mental health, relationships, and Hollywood.

In Black AF History: The Un-Whitewashed Story of America Michael Harriot presents a more accurate version of American history that  removes the white sugarcoating from the American story, placing Black people squarely at the center. For too long, we have refused to acknowledge that American history taught in schools is white history. Not this one. This history is Black AF.

Barbra Streisand’s memoir, My Name is Barbra, tells the story  of her life and career, from growing up in Brooklyn to her first star-making appearances in New York nightclubs to her breakout performance in Funny Girl on stage and to directing film and touring and recording; the book is, like Barbra herself, frank, funny, opinionated, and charming.

I was looking at old photos this morning and came across this one of Carlos and me on our first date, which lasted eleven days in July 2000 when I flew from Sacramento to Miami to meet him. This is from our days in Key West on that first date.

What a couple of babies …

Laura Loomer is a MAGAt and prime example of the LauraLunacy of the cult …

She recently Tweeted that if Mr-Former-Fake-One-Term-Twice-Impeached-Currently-Four-Time-Criminally-Indicted-Not-My-President-Gurl was removed from ballots and prevented from being the GOP nominee that she will never vote in an election again and will use her platforms and her lists to make sure millions of Republicans never vote again either.

Um … do it.

This is Lukasz Zarazowski, Polish actor, model, fitness trainer and the current member of the Would You Hit It club; so, would you?

Bobservations

I have no Carlos story this week because this is my mood and it’s all I can do.

Fuckity fuck fuck fuck fuck.

I blame the heat and humidity, and stupidity; luckily, Carlos gets this mood and rarely tries to poke the bear, though he does smirk at my tirades!

If the GOP really wanted to get intel out to the insurrectionists, they should have hired cats, because the cats could go anywhere unnoticed. Not Tuxedo, though, he votes Blue.

At a time when the GOP wants to punish drag queens, or people who say ‘Gay,’ President Biden reiterated that he believes no one should face discrimination because of who they are or whom they love and so this week, to mark Pride Month, he signed an Executive Order Advancing Equality for LGBTQI+ Individuals that:

Addresses discriminatory legislative attacks against LGBTQI+ children and families, directing key agencies to protect families and children

Prevent so-called “conversion therapy” with a historic initiative to protect children from the harmful practice

Safeguards health care, and programs designed to prevent LGBTQI+ youth suicide

Supports LGBTQI+ children and families by launching a new initiative to protect foster youth, prevent homelessness, and improve access to federal programs

That’s my president, working for equality rather than trying to criminalize your sexual orientation or gender identity.

CATS A GODDAMNED BLUE VOTE!!!

Last year a woman sued GEICO for catching HPV while having sex in a car insured by GEICO. The woman says she had unprotected sex with her then-boyfriend and contracted HPV and sued GEICO for $1 million in monetary damages. They declined, and the case was sent to arbitration.

Cut to this year and the Court of Appeals for the Western District of Missouri has ordered GEICO to pay the woman M.O. $5.2 million in damages because she was injured in a car they insured.

Seriously.

And not a word about the woman choosing to have unprotected sex. No responsibility.

One of my favorite parts of the January 6 hearings is the testimony from several witnesses who say that on Election  Night Rudy Giuliani showed up at the White House rather intoxicated.

The blowback from that story has led to the creation of a new adjective, giuliani’d, as in:

“I went out last night and got so giuliani’d that I had unprotected sex in a GEICO-insured car and may have caught HPV.”

I like it.

For years, Georgia GOP senate candidate Herschel Walker has expressed an enormous pride and love for his adult son, while taking a stand against fatherless households and deadbeat dads—specifically in the Black community—but now we know that Walker, who has apparently never met the truth, has a second son, who has apparently been estranged from his biological father since his birth a decade ago.

Walker was hit with a paternity suit, in which he admitted being the father, pays child support, and sends Christmas & birthday gifts, but does not see this son.

That’s all.

The new story all over the web is the ALLEGATIONS that Congressperson Lauren Boebert was an "unlicensed paid escort" who had "two abortions" and was convinced to run for office by Ted Cruz who may or may not have been a client, and then married a man who ALLEGEDLY whipped out his penis to underage girls at a bowling alley.

She really is the ideal representative of the Republican party.

PS Of note is that Ted Cruz, who never shuts up about anything—and always tries to insinuate himself into any trending topic—has not even remarked on reports that he hired Lauren Boebert and she may have aborted his baby.

Uh huh.

Thiago Lazzarato is a 38-year-old gay Brazilian model, influencer and trainer, but … Would You Hit It?

Bobservations

The other day, I was telling Carlos about my Stanley Tucci quote from last week about actors playing all kinds of roles; I told him that Tucci was speaking specifically about straight actors playing gay roles and Carlos said this:

Stanley Tucci was in a gang?”

Oh, but he did.

Seriously. A thin piece of cloth out in public … staying away from people …no large groups … and maybe we wouldn’t be mourning lives lost.

Personal note: our good friends, the former Round-The-Way-Gays Neal and David both tested positive for COVID after Christmas. Luckily, they came through it fairly easily, and are both feeling better, but a friend of theirs tested positive last month and he sadly passed away week later.

FOX Business canned its highest-rated host Lou Dobbs in the wake of  a $2.7 billion defamation suit filed against the network, and Dobbs, Jeanine Pirro, and Maria Bartiromo, by the voting software company Smartmatic.

Smartmatic claims those FOX hosts perpetuated lies and disinformation about the company’s role in the election, damaging its business and reputation. While Dobbs remains under contract at Fox News, in all likelihood he will never  appear on the network again.

Sorry, not sorry.

Last week Marjorie Traitor Greene faux-pologized about being a QAnon loon, saying she was just a “dabbler” in the conspiracy theory network, but in 2018 she actually endorsed “Frazzledrip,” one of the more sickening of the nutbag movement’s mythology.

Frazzledrip refers to an imaginary video purported to show Hillary Clinton and her former aide, Huma Abedin, assaulting and disfiguring a young girl, and then drinking her blood. The theory goes on to say that several police officers saw the video, and then  Clinton had them killed.

And that’s Marjorie Traitor Greene. Are you listening Georgia?

In 2016 Terrill Thomas, a Black man, was arrested after firing a gun in Potawatomi casino; family members believe he was having a psychotic episode and was said to be afflicted with bipolar disorder. Thomas was denied water while jailed and died after seven days in custody.

In 2021, Jacob Chansley, a white man, stormed the United States Capitol in an attempt to overturn election results, and this week he was moved to a Virginia jail so corrections officials can provide him with organic food.

If you read this and still think there is no such thing as systemic racism in this country, then you are part of the problem.

This week, shortly after the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl, thousands of people flocked to streets of Tampa, Florida, many ignoring mask rules and social distancing,

I imagine the numbers going up in Tampa soon, though there might be fewer people celebrating that in the streets.

Mask it or casket, people.

In sad news, Mary Wilson, one of the founding members of The Supremes, passed away this week, quite suddenly, at the age of 76.

In the 1960s; The Supremes were it: the Motown Sound; the Sound of Young America; the Detroit Sound. The Supremes had 12 Number 1 pop hits from 1964-69 and are the only all-girl group to score five Number 1 singles in a row; they also had 16 Top Ten pop singles and 19 Top Ten R&B singles.

Mary wasn’t as well-known as Diana Ross, but keep in mind, without Mary and Florence and Diana opening the doors, there would be no Beyoncé or Alicia Keys or Jennifer Hudson or …or…or…

RIP Diva.

Over there to Iran, Ayatollah Abbas Tabrizian, a cleric in the city of Qom, issued a warning that the COVID-19 vaccine is turning people gay.

Yes. He did. Like other clerics, Tabrizian relates all negativity to sexuality but what many don’t realize is that his actual goal in spreading this ridiculous misinformation is to keep the Iranian people fearful of the vaccine so that only those in power can have it.

Rastislav Tanistrak is a Silver Fox gay male model and LGBTQ+ activist born in Slovakia, but raised in the UK, and he very clearly smolders. He gives good face, but he’s kinda stingy with the hand placement.

And yet briefly speaking, he really delivers ... backwards, forwards, sideways.

Clothed or not … preferably not … he is quite a handsome fella.
