I Didn't Say It ...

Tara Setmayer, co-founder of the Seneca Project—a movement by women, for women, to rise up against the assault on women's freedoms—dismantling CNN’s resident MAGAt, Scott Jennings, over The Felon’s assertion he is "pro-police" and "backs the blue":

"And it really is something that I cannot tolerate when [The Felon] supporters are trying to sit here and act as though [The Felon]supports and backs the blue. No he doesn’t. You look at what [he] did and what MAGA has done to the police officers who defended our Capitol on January 6. You want to talk about spitting in the face? [The Felon] spit in the face of every single one of those officers who took that oath to protect and serve on January 6, when he pardoned those insurrectionist bastards who wanted to take down our Capitol and stop the free and fair, peaceful transfer of power. So how dare he say this now? It is the reincarnation of George Wallace, of Huey Long, of the disgusting policies of the past that have this strongman desire to use law and order and to fear and demagogue it for people that [The Felon] is channeling right now. So how dare people sit here and say that he backs the blue. He abdicated that because you know what? He did not protect or defend the Constitution and he violated his oath of office. You know who said that? You did after January 6th. [she pointed at Jennings] And that's exactly what he continues to do right now with the way he's throwing around our military, our police, talking about moving us to other states. This is something that people should be very concerned about."

Jennings didn't interject but sat holding his chin in silence as Setmayer unloaded on the MAGA propaganda. In fact, even when she was done, Jennings said nothing, and when he failed to respond,

Later in the segment, Phillip returned to Jennings who admitted that "what happened to the cops” on January 6 “was a disgrace" because "they didn’t deserve to be treated that way" but then he defended [The Felon]’s deployment of the National Guard to D.C. It's telling that even though he was given time to concoct a response, he was still unable to mount a real defense of his cult leader.

Hard to defend a liar with lies.

John Oliver, on has been actor  Dean Cain joining ICE:

“You know, there’s an old saying in Hollywood: if all you can get is Dean Cain, you are f*cked. I’m not saying that ICE isn’t finding people. I’m just saying, when you are reduced to pinning a badge on the 59-year-old star of ‘The Dog Who Saved Christmas,’ ‘The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation,’ ‘The Dog Who Saved Holidays,’ ‘The Dog Who Saved Halloween,’ ‘The Dog Who Saved Easter’ and ‘The Dog Who Saved Summer,’ maybe you are in trouble... On the plus side, no need for that guy to wear a mask because the chances of anyone recognizing him are f*cking zero."

Spot on takedown of a desperate has been MAGAt looking for another shot at the spotlight.

Gavin Newsom, California Democrat Governor, on The Felon moving Obama’s official Presidential portrait—and those of the two Bush presidents—to a place where White House Visitors cannot see them:

“Small men hide from history’s giants.”

That gelatinous orange blob is so jealous of Obama that he will sink to hiding a portrait from visitors.

Oh, Cankles, you will go down in history as the worst president ever while Obama will be sitting at the top.

photo

JB Pritzker, Democrat Governor of Illinois, on shielding those Texas Democrats who are opposing the GOP’s attempt at gerrymandering the state for The Felon:

“The fact is that neither Texas not the FBI at the federal level has the authority to arrest these Texas Democrats. They’re welcome to visit Chicago or anywhere in Illinois—to take in the great views of our lake and enjoy the incredible restaurants we have. But they won’t be taking anyone home with them or out of the state. We are protecting those House Democrats—and, frankly, they’re protecting the entire country.”

This is Resistance. This is standing up to liars and traitors and lapdogs.

Take note, America.

photo

Jamie Raskin, Maryland Democrat Representative, on The Felon admitting he has the power to call up the National Guard—albeit for a made-up crisis—which is an admission that he lied about his abilities on January 6:

“I am happy that he acknowledges he has the power to activate the National Guard. That was what he refused to do four-and-a-half years ago when the Capitol, and his own VP, were under attack by the violence he unleashed against us. That was a real emergency. This is not a real emergency. This looks to me like an emergency which is manufactured because of a public relations crisis relating to the Epstein File. He doesn’t want to release the Epstein File so he wants everybody to look in another direction.”

One more made-up crisis to take the news cycle from Epstein.

One more made-up crisis that isn’t working.

Release the files, President Cankles.

photo

Hunter Biden, Joe’s son, responding to Slovenian Hooker, Melanie, and her threat to sue him if he keeps saying that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein introduced her to The Felon:

“If they want to sit down for a deposition and clarify the nature of the relationship between Jeffrey Epstein … if the President and the First Lady want to do that … I’m more than happy to provide them the platform to be able to do it.”

Go ahead, Melanie, swear an oath and then deny you knew Epstein. Please.

I Didn't Say It ...

Barack Obama, after the shootings of the last few days calling for gun control:

“It is long past time for those with the power to fight this epidemic of gun violence to do so. It will take time to root out the disaffection, racism and misogyny that fuels so many of these senseless acts of violence. But we can make it harder for those with hate in their hearts to buy weapons of war. We can overcome opposition by cowardly politicians and the pressure of a gun lobby that opposes any limit on the ability of anyone to assemble an arsenal. We can, and we must. A once-in-a-century pandemic cannot be the only thing that slows mass shootings in this country. It’s time for leaders everywhere to listen to the American people when they say enough is enough.”

Nice words, but we’ve been saying ‘enough is enough’ for years, and our elected officials in DC are too far deep in the pockets of the NRA.

That’s the change we need; no more NRA!

photo

Jeanine Pirro, the chardonnay-drinking, perhaps drunk on air, Fox News hack, says migrants are a “lower level of human being”:

“We’re spending 86 million dollars for 1,200 families to get them hotel rooms, while we’ve got 10 million Americans out of work? We’ve got 10 million Americans who are going to be competing with people for jobs? It’s not about politics. When that sheriff said to me, ‘Jeanine, this is modern-day slavery.’ The bringing of these children into this country, where they will be forever connected to a cartel, is slavery. What we’re doing here is we are promoting a lower level of human being, who will be controlled from other countries. So stop trying to make this about this is who—not who we are. This is about crime coming into this country and it’s a reality. And we’re losing.”

It’s stunning to me that a pundit, even an idiot like Pirro, can say the most racist things on a news show and her bosses don’t come for her.

Ain’t that America? We won’t end racism until we silence the racists.

Jody Hice, [Q-GA], believes Washington DC should not be granted statehood because … :

“D.C. would be the only state, the only state, without an airport, without a car dealership, without a capital city, without a landfill, without even a name on its own, and we can go on and on and on.”

Washington, D.C. is home to more than 700,000 residents, which means it has a greater population than Wyoming, but, shoot, no car dealerships.

Damn.

John Oliver, taking on Meghan McCain for saying Thing #45’s use of the racist ‘China Virus’ would help him get votes in 2020 and then Tweeting for an end to anti-Asian violence in 2021:

“Oh good! Meghan McCain doesn’t have a problem with it. Listen not to the scores of Asian Americans telling everyone that the term is dangerous and offensive. Instead, gather around and take the word of a wealthy white woman who’s dressed like she’s about to lay off 47 people over Zoom. Meghan McCain posted this week, ‘Stop Asian Hate,’ with three broken hearts emoji, which is a fine sentiment to throw up on Twitter after the fact, [but] there has to be an understanding that saying, ‘I don’t have a problem with calling it the China virus’ is very much giving space for hate to grow. The minimization of racist rhetoric plays into the harmful stereotype of Asian Americans as a model minority pitting them against other minority groups and pressuring them to swallow their experiences with racism, without making a stink because that’s how you earn white acceptance, and that is something that takes its toll. Our long, ugly history of anti-Asian racism and the fact that it often peaks during times of crisis is the exact reason why, just last year, many were loudly warning that [the twice-impeached, one-term loser] calling COVID names like the ‘China virus’ was likely to lead to a rise in violence against people of Asian descent—an argument that not everyone, at the time, seemed to find convincing.”

Bang on, John.

photo

Meghan McCain, apologizing on Twitter for her anti-Asian statements:

“I condemn the reprehensible violence and vitriol that has been targeted towards the Asian-American community. There is no doubt [the twice-impeached, one-term loser]’s racist rhetoric fueled many of these attacks and I apologize for any past comments that aided that agenda.”

What’s the deal with McCain? A supposedly educated woman who spouts such ignorance. She spends more time apologizing for being a moron than she does making sense.

PS Now apologize for stealing Barbara Eden’s I Dream of Jeanie hair.

Stella Keating, a transgender high school student, speaking before the Senate Judiciary Committee, about the Equality Act:

“Good morning. My name is Stella Keating and my pronouns are she/her. I am 16 years old, and I live in the state of Washington. I am a sophomore in high school and just got my driver’s license which was a great day! What happens if I want to attend college in a state that doesn’t protect me? Right now, I could be denied medical care or be evicted for simply being transgender in many states. How is that even right? How is that even American? Right now, I live in a state where I have equal protection under the law. And as a high school sophomore, I’m starting to look at colleges, and all I can think about is this: less than half of the states in our country provide equal protection for me under the law. What if I’m offered a dream job in a state where I can be discriminated against? Even if my employer is supportive, I still have to live somewhere. Eat in restaurants. Have a doctor. And why am I having to worry about all of this at the age of 16?”

Out of the mouths of babes comes simple truth.

I Didn't Say It ...

Jair Bolsonaro, President of Brazil, proving he’s the world’s biggest asshat in a recent speech on the pandemic:

“All anyone talks about these days is the pandemic. We need to stop that. I regret the deaths. I really do. But we’re all going to die someday. There’s no use fleeing reality. We have to stop being a country of fags. We have to face up to it and fight. I hate this faggot stuff.”

Bolsonaro, like his BFF _____, has consistently downplayed the virus that has killed 163,000 people in Brazil, and so, clearly, calling people concerned with the pandemic “fags” is the right choice.

Asshat.

photo

John OliverLast Week Tonight host, on the celebrations after the election results:

“This was clearly a very long, very tense week although thankfully it all felt worth it due to how it ended. There was a mood here that can only be described as a reverse 9/11, because it combined complete euphoria, an abiding disgust for Rudy Giuliani, and this time, people were actually dancing on the rooftops in New Jersey. It was a really good day. Never forget.”

On 9/11 _____said Muslims were dancing in Jersey, but all of Jersey, and Manhattan, and much of the world, was dancing on 11/7.

photo

Neil Cavuto, FOX News host, cutting away from Kayleigh McEnaney, AKA Bullshit Barbie, after she repeated, without evidence, _____’s lies about illegal voting:

“Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. She’s charging the other side is welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting. Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue showing you this. I want to make sure that maybe they do have something to back that up. But that is an explosive charge to make that the other side is effectively rigging and cheating. If she does bring proof of that of course we will take you back.”

Nice to see a Fox host not pandering to the _____ lying machine.

photo

Tucker Carlson, Fox News host and ______’s bitch, scolded Cavuto and Fox News, for cutting away from Bullshit Barbie:

“In a democracy, you cannot ignore honest questions from citizens. You’re not allowed. You can’t dismiss them out of hand as crazy or immoral for asking. You can’t just cut away from coverage you don’t like. You can’t simply tell people to accept an outcome because force doesn’t work in a democracy. That’s dictatorship.”

You can, Fucker, when there is no proof of fraud. Just because you say it doesn’t make it true, in fact, it more than likely makes it a lie.

photo

Jason Chaffetz, Fox News commentator and former GOP Congressman, pissy because Joe didn’t mention _____ in his speech:

“There is not a single state in the United States that has certified their election yet. So you know, you can have a crying Stephen Colbert putting on an act — because he is an actor — saying he was just so saddened by this, but I never saw them crying about Donald _____. Donald _____, when he won, his victory speech, first he did was thank and honor Hillary Clinton. Joe Biden in his speech last night never even mentioned Donald _____ directly. Did not thank him for his service. Did not honor Donald Trump and all the success he had in this country. He didn’t even do that. And so, you know, carts before the horse here. You have got to go through. The president has legal avenues.”

What service? When he lied and dodged the draft? What success? When he had the taxpayers pay out $144,000,000 for him to golf?

Fuck all the way off.

photo

Charles Payne, Fox Business host, saying we all should thank _____ for Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine:

“I am finding the timing curious. It’s frustrating. What I thought was intriguing is on the Biden website, it says ‘Operation Warp Speed lacks a strategy to see its mission through and gain the trust of Americans.’ Well, I wonder what they’re going to say today? Are they going to tell people not to take this vaccine that Pfizer is saying 90% effective? Are they going to say wait? I mean this is absolutely remarkable stuff. Credit where credit is due; President _____, he really did push hard on this. Who knows, if it came a week earlier it might have changed the outcome, but it is great news for all Americans.”

Two things asshat: even if the news came out last week, _____ is responsible for the deaths of 230,000+ Americans.

And secondly, Pfizer noted that not only did they take any federal money for their vaccine, they were never part of Operation Warp Speed.

So, to sum it up: Charles Payne is a lying moron.

photo

Van Jones, CNN commentator, tearing up talking about Biden’s win:

"This is vindication for a lot of people who have really suffered. You know, 'I can't breathe?' that wasn't just George Floyd. That was how a lot of people have felt. They couldn't breathe. Every day you are waking up, and you are getting these tweets, and you don't know. And you go into the store, and people who have been afraid to show their racism are getting nastier and nastier to you. And you are worried about your kids. And you are worried about your sister. Can she go to Walmart and get back into her car without somebody saying something to her. And you spent so much of your life energy just trying to hold it together. The character of the country matters. Being a good man matters. I want my sons to look at this. It is easy to do it the cheap way and get away with stuff. It comes back around. And it is a good thing for this country."

It make take us a long time to get to even being close to what it was like pre-_____, and let’s be clear, that wasn’t perfect by a country mile, but at least we’re moving in the right direction.

I Didn't Say It ...

Colin Powell, former Secretary of State, told CNN’s Jake Tapper he was voting Biden in November:

“[_____] lies. He lies about things, and he gets away with it because people will not hold him accountable. … We’re not a country of just a president. I think what we’re seeing now, those massive protest movements I have ever seen in my life, I think this suggests that the country is getting wise to this and we’re not going to put up with it anymore. … I’m very close to Joe Biden in a social manner and political manner. I’ve worked with him for 35, 40 years, and he is now the candidate and I will be voting for him.”

While Colin Powell has had his own fights with the truth back in the day—WMD anyone—I do like to see people speaking out about the lack of true leadership in this country.
Bernard Kerik, former NYPD Commissioner, pardoned by _____ earlier this year after conviction on eight felony charges, says police brutality is fine with him and no reforms are needed except for the black community:

“When you watch these videos, listen, when a police officer tells you to move when there is a curfew, you move. When a police officer told you to back up, you back up. You’re not supposed to stick your finger in his face. You’re not supposed to touch him or throw something on it. They’ve been bombarded with bricks, rocks, Mollin powotov cocktails, sticks, you name it and you know what at some point in time, you’re going to push the wrong cop and he’s going to push back. In this case, that is what happened. Everything is about reforming the police. How about reforming the community? How about teaching young black men and women, in these communities of color, things like don’t run from the police when you get stopped. Keep your hands on the steering wheel when you get stopped in a car stop. Don’t make furtive moments, don’t put your hands in your pockets, don’t poke the police in the eye when he stops you, don’t assault the police, don’t resist. These are simple, simple things that could be taught in driving school when you’re teaching kids how to get their license.”

Um, you racist fuckmonkey, black people didn’t just start running from police for no reason; it started after years and years AND YEARS of being targeted by police, brutalized by police, arrested for simply walking while black by the police. If the police do better, the communities do better; if the police become visible positive influences in our communities, then no one will feel the need to run …for their lives.
Michelangelo Signorile, SiriusXM radio host, LGBTQ activist and author, on the new round of speculation that Lindsey Graham is gay, using Aaron Schock as an example for outing Graham:

“[Aaron Schock is] the perfect example of a man who was deceiving the public in so many ways … The closet, for powerful politicians, becomes a sort of practice run at the art of deception on a grander scale. And when you will sell out your own kind, there’s really no telling how low you will go. Had journalists at mainstream outlets with vast resources, legal teams and researchers, been pursuing Schock for the hypocrisy of his anti-LGBTQ votes—and revealed that he was gay, with clear-cut evidence—it wouldn’t only have likely stopped an anti-gay hypocrite, it would likely have brought down a man who was spending campaign and taxpayer dollars to live in grand style and luxuriously travel around the world. … Some queer people don’t realize this isn’t about indiscriminately ‘outing’ the average person, the private citizens just trying to live their own lives. It’s actually about protecting them from the corruption of those who are public figures—people who go into public life knowing their lives will be open for discussion—who want to deceive people to benefit themselves and their benefactors. Senator Lindsey Graham has promoted a horrendously anti-LGBTQ agenda and now is one of the strongest defenders of a president who is the most anti-LGBTQ president in history, rolling back rights that have been won. Editors and reporters should be investigating Graham’s hypocrisy the way they investigate public figures’ hypocrisy all the time—and that means following up on reports about his sexual orientation.”

People should be allowed to come when they choose, if they choose, BUT when closted gay politicians use their power to do harm to the LGBTQ community in an effort to hide their own orientation, then all bets are off.
So, come on out, Lady G, before you’re dragged out.
And then dragged.
Mike Huckabee, presidential wannabe and rightwingnut, on the idea that some Republicans will not support _____
:
“If you have people who were nominated, and in the case of President Bush actually elected to be president by Republicans and they will no longer support the Republican nominee who went through the process and got elected, then I’m going to be not just unhappy, I’m going to be livid. And some of them say, ‘But I don’t like his personality.’ Well, get over it. This is not about electing a personality. This isn’t Hollywood. This is the rough, tumble world of politics. And maybe he’s not as genteel as some of us would like. But, by gosh, he’s getting the job done, and it’s time Republicans rally because if they don’t, they’re going to get Joe Biden, who isn’t pro-life, who is for higher taxes, open borders, he’s going to succumb to China. Everything that we find disgusting he’s going to embrace it, including the socialists out here.”

Hey Mike, you pandering fuckmonkey. _____ is a racist who uses the Bible as a prop and you, an ALLEGED Christian, are fine with that.
What you’re livid about, Blanche, is the idea that if Biden gets in the wingnuts won’t control the courts and women’s right to make their own healthcare decisions will stay put.
But, you do you, support and vote for a racist as long as it keeps the Pro-choice movement down.
God will love you for that.
John OliverLast Week Tonight, on defunding police departments:

“The police have not just been incidentally tainted by racism. For much of U.S. history, law enforcement meant enforcing laws that were explicitly designed to subjugate black people. … All week long, protesters have continued to fill the streets in all 50 states in the wake of the horrific murder of George Floyd by the police. And in response to those protests, which have been a stirring pushback against institutional racism and brutality, it’s been frankly sickening to see them met with this. As for the president himself, he initially hid from the protesters in a bunker, later claiming he wasn’t hiding, he was just ‘inspecting’ it. Then, his attorney general had police gas protesters outside the White House so that _____ could have an inexplicable photo op at a nearby church while holding up a Bible like it’s the ticket for his sandwich order that was just called. He also, in announcing jobs numbers on Friday, invoked George Floyd’s name, saying, ‘This is a great day for him,’ which is utterly f**king disgusting. [Defunding police doesn’t mean all police would be eliminated] It means moving away from a narrow conception of public safety that relies on policing and punishment and investing in a community’s actual safety—things like stable housing, mental health services and community organizations. The concept is that the role of the police can then significantly shrink because they are not responding to the homeless or to mental health calls or arresting children in schools or really any other situation where they best solution is not someone showing up with a gun—that’s the idea of defunding the police.”

Defund doesn’t mean end the police force, it means take ack some of their massive budgets and use it in the communities they serve to help our citizens of color climb out of poverty, mental health issues, drug problems. If the communities have help, then you don’t need riot gear and tanks and tear gas.
Help those communities and help everyone.
Daniel Radcliffe, actor, speaking out against transphobic statements made by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling:

“Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I. According to The Trevor Project, 78% of transgender and nonbinary youth reported being the subject of discrimination due to their gender identity. It’s clear that we need to do more to support transgender and nonbinary people, not invalidate their identities, and not cause further harm. I realize that certain press outlets will probably want to paint this as in-fighting between J.K. Rowling and myself, but that is really not what this is about, nor is it what’s important right now. While Jo is unquestionably responsible for the course my life has taken, as someone who has been honored to work with and continues to contribute to The Trevor Project for the last decade, and just as a human being, I feel compelled to say something at this moment: to all the people who now feel that their experience of the books has been tarnished or diminished, I am deeply sorry for the pain these comments have caused you. I really hope that you don’t entirely lose what was valuable in these stories to you. If these books taught you that love is the strongest force in the universe, capable of overcoming anything; if they taught you that strength is found in diversity, and that dogmatic ideas of pureness lead to the oppression of vulnerable groups; if you believe that a particular character is trans, nonbinary, or gender fluid, or that they are gay or bisexual; if you found anything in these stories that resonated with you and helped you at any time in your life — then that is between you and the book that you read, and it is sacred. And in my opinion nobody can touch that. It means to you what it means to you and I hope that these comments will not taint that too much.”

Bravo, Daniel.
Rowling is under fire for recent Tweets suggesting that if you don’t menstruate, you aren’t a woman. She also said:
The idea that women like me, who’ve been empathetic to trans people for decades, feeling kinship because they’re vulnerable in the same way as women—ie, to male violence—‘hate’ trans people because they think sex is real and has lived consequences—is a nonsense.”
‘In the same way as women’? They are women, you tool. She supports trans people would march with trans people but thinks trans women are not women.
Ass.
Tucker Carlson, Fox News, spreading racism and hate and fear:

“This may be a lot of things, this moment we’re living through, but it is definitely not about black lives. And remember that when they come for you and at this rate, they will. Anyone who has ever been subjected to the rage of the mob knows the feeling. It’s like being swarmed by hornets. You cannot think clearly. And the temptation is to panic. But you can’t panic. You got to keep your head and tell the truth. Tell the truth. If you show weakness of any kind, they will crush you.”

There you have it: black people are coming for white people in mobs.
Racist Tucker fucker.
Eddie Redmayne, actor who starred in the film adaptation of JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts franchise and played trans pioneer Lili Elbe in The Danish Girl, on Rowling’s transphobic tweets:

“Respect for transgender people remains a cultural imperative, and over the years I have been trying to constantly educate myself. This is an ongoing process. As someone who has worked with both J.K. Rowling and members of the trans community, I wanted to make it absolutely clear where I stand: I disagree with Jo’s comments. Trans women are women, trans men are men and non-binary identities are valid. I would never want to speak on behalf of the community but I do know that my dear transgender friends and colleagues are tired of this constant questioning of their identities, which all too often results in violence and abuse. They simply want to live their lives peacefully, and it’s time to let them do so.”

It’s the simplest thing: treat people with respect, because you’d like the same in return.
General Mark Milley, the nation’s top military officer, on going with ____ to that church where he was photographed in his combat uniform:

“I should not have been there. My presence in that moment and in that environment created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics. As a commissioned uniformed officer, it was a mistake that I have learned from.”

Good on you now, but you really should have seen through that charade from the jump.
Milley also repeated his opposition to _____’s call for federal troops to be deployed nationwide to quell protests.

I Didn't Say It ...

Al Franken, on _____:

"Well, it finally isn’t funny anymore—the grandiosity, the ignorance, the cruelty, the bullying, the racism, the petty insults and incessant stupidity. But especially the non-stop lying. The greatest asset that a president can bring to a crisis is credibility. On Day One of his presidency, Donald _____ chose to pick a fight with the media about the size of his inaugural crowd … The very next day, Kellyanne Conway let Americans know of the existence of something called “alternative facts.” Oh. So, that’s how it’s going to be, huh? Since then, the lies have come so fast and furious that keeping track has been impossible. How do you remember the last one when three or four equally ridiculous lies are almost certain to follow that day? ‘Don’t take him literally,’ his supporters insisted. ‘Take him seriously.’ Really? Well, no. What they really were saying was how happy they were that he would be appointing pro-life, pro-corporate Federalist Society judges, cutting taxes to benefit the wealthy, undoing regulations to help corporations exploit their employees and destroy our environment, and pulling us out of the Paris Agreement and the Iran Nuclear Deal. That the President of the United States is a malignant narcissist who could allow no fact to stand that contradicted his insatiable need for self-aggrandizement has been of little concern to establishment Republicans. The stock market was climbing. They were getting richer. And they had cover from the right-wing media to fool enough of his base into believing his limitless dishonesty. At this year’s State of the Union, the First Lady bestowed upon Rush Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom, an honor he now shares with Mother Teresa, Cesar Chavez, and the crew of Apollo 13 …  Until this crisis, _____ has paid no real price for his constant, pathological mendacity. Before politics, the man had spent his entire career in a business where, evidently, there was no accountability for inveterate lying. But for this crisis there is accountability. And instead of leading, Donald _____’s focus has been where it always has been—on Donald _____. ‘I give myself a ten out of ten.’ ‘We are very close to a vaccine.’ ‘I don’t take responsibility at all.’ ‘Anybody who needs a test can get a test. And the tests are perfect. Like the letter was perfect. The transcript was perfect.’ Of course, no leader could have prevented the devastation that this virus has and will continue to exact. But because _____’s focus has been on himself, his reelection, and his fragile self-image, our federal government squandered our most valuable commodity. And the amount of suffering which that lost time will cost our nation is as tragic as it is unknowable. _____ will not step away. He will continue to take the stage and our focus—but he will not be able to claim the credibility he never earned. We are left to proceed despite our president and find the leadership we need elsewhere. From governors and mayors and other civil servants. From health care professionals and scientists and economists. From community leaders and each other. It is time for each of us to step up and fill the vacuum at the top—first by staying home. And for those fortunate enough to weather this storm financially—to help those who cannot. Lest we forget _____’s Houdini-like ability to escape the traps he’s set for himself, it is also time for us to commit to his defeat in November. For now, find a way to do that from home. But when it’s time to come out into the light, it must be our collective mission to make this godawful human being pay the price for every lie he has ever uttered."

Word.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, on how he convinced _____ to push social distancing guidelines for another 30 days:

“We felt that if we prematurely pulled back, we would only form an acceleration or a rebound of something, which would have put you behind where you were before. And that’s the reason why we argued strongly with the president that he not withdraw those guidelines after 15 days but that he extend them—and he did listen. We made it very clear to him that if we pulled back on what we were doing and didn’t extend them there would be more avoidable suffering and avoidable death. We showed him the data. He looked a the data and he got it right away. … It was a pretty clear picture. He looked at them and he understood them and shook his head and said, ‘I guess we gotta do it.'”

It’s funny that _____ was the only person in this country, aside from Fox news and their zombies, who actually needed this to be explained.
John Oliver, on the _____ administration’s incompetence in dealing with the crisis.

“COVID-19 continues to rip around the globe … and the president has only recently seemed to realize the gravity of the situation. … As recently as a month ago, he was saying we have it ‘very much under control,’ adding, ‘Stock market starting to look very good to me!’ before abruptly shifting gears to claim that he ‘felt it was a pandemic’ long before it was called one. On Tuesday, our ‘wartime president’ seemed to already be considering giving up the fight and encouraging everyone to go back to work. The date he’s setting is just two weeks from now, which is objectively way too soon. Although if you are going to pick a holiday to break a quarantine, you could do a lot worse than one honoring the time that Jesus was supposed to stay inside, and didn’t. It’s worth taking a moment to appreciate just how irresponsible that attitude is. Because we wasted so much time that we could have spent preparing, the virus is now widespread, and thanks to how we have massively botched the rollout of testing the virus, we still don’t know exactly how bad things are. So strict social-distancing measures are our best shot at slowing this outbreak. I’m in no way minimizing the economic suffering caused by the shutdown. But the idea that people should sacrifice themselves for the economy is absurd. And yet, it actually gained traction this week. You get that the coronavirus is not The Hunger Games, right? You can’t volunteer yourself as tribute. And what you’re doing is actually much darker: You’re actively volunteering others, including people of all ages with health conditions, to die. And even if these guys are okay with letting the coronavirus kill as many people as it feels like so that the economy’s protected—which, again: really?!?—there are—and I cannot believe I have to say this—significant drawbacks to hundreds of thousands of people dying. This was always going to be hard. But it actually didn’t need to be this hard. And that is why it’s so profoundly disheartening that we’re being led through this crisis by a man who may be less equipped to deal with this historical moment than anybody in recorded history.”

_____ was never able to handle this because he couldn’t make this about him, about how great he is, or about how the media is mean to him, or about how much money we’ll make off this.
All he knows is how to make his name the topic of conversation, and now this damned virus is running the news cycle and he can’t stand it.
Dr. Michael Brady, medical director for Britain’s Terrance Higgins Trust, urging gay men not to hook up during the pandemic:

“I’ve never been an advocate of promoting abstinence, but this message is not about protecting your sexual health: it’s about protecting your general health and those around you from a virus that can be deadly. This advice means that, unless you have sex with someone within your household, it’s important to find sexual pleasure in other  … This isn’t just to protect ourselves against the coronavirus but also to protect the most vulnerable in our society. The virus can be passed on through direct contact with saliva or mucus, so this would include kissing. The COVID-19 virus has also been found in the feces of people who are infected so rimming may also be a risk for infection. There is no risk of passing on coronavirus through masturbation and there’s plenty of evidence that shows masturbation can relieve stress and anxiety. If you use sex toys, make sure you wash them and your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds before and after.”

Brady noted that although there is no evidence of COVID-19 spreading sexually, it can be transmitted through any physical contact within six feet.
Luckily I don’t hook up, well, except with one other person, but did he have to look so bald and hot and tell me to masturbate?
Just sayin’, Carlos, when the door is locked …
Jair Bolsonaro, Brazilian President, proven to be more of an asshat about COVID-19 than _____:

“The Brazilian needs to be studied. He doesn’t catch anything. You see a guy jumping into sewage, diving in, right? Nothing happens to him. I think a lot of people were already infected in Brazil, weeks or months ago, and they already have the antibodies that help it not proliferate.”

I don’t wish the virus on anyone, but if I did, Bolsonaro would top that list.
