I’m a crier, okay? Sue me. Music can make me weep; a sad movie causes my eyes to well up with tears; a Cheerios commercial has been known to make me blink back tears. I wept at my wedding; I choked up when our friends David and Neal got married. And I’m okay with that; I have my feelings and if you don’t like ‘em, well, too bad, so sad.
But, seriously, a man cries and someone has to take to Twitter to mock him?
Yup, when Adam Harris got married, a picture was taken — as happens on wedding days — of Adam looking more than a little weepy when he caught sight of his bride, Tisa Forrest; he explains it like this:
"When she emerged through the doors I couldn't hold it in. She looked gorgeous."
First off, Adam’s pretty hot, too, but this post isn’t all about that.
Someone with the Twitter handle Meninist — obviously a take-off on Feminist — saw the photos, he Tweeted this:
Now, the Meninist Tweeter Twit is supposed to be a parody site, but it didn’t come off that way to Adam, a writer in Austin, who says he knew Meninist was trying to make a joke, found it simply unfunny and responded with this:
And here are a couple of Twitterers who joined in:
Once again, Adam’s hot — just had to slip that in one more time — and he obviously was overcome by emotion on his wedding day and began to rear up when he saw the woman he loved and wanted to spend his life with, so, is that such a bad thing?
I think, and, yeah, I’m goin’ there again, that it’s kinda hot.
