Just days after being elected to his local County Council, John
Jessup—a current GOP Commissioner for Hancock County’s District 1—pleaded
guilty in a Nevada sexual assault case. Jessup pled guilty to one count of attempted sexual assault as the result of a plea deal that lowered the charge from a Level A felony to a Level B felony—which is punishable by up to 20 years in prison. He was recently elected to the Hancock County Council as one of three Republican candidates. He received over 15,000 votes while both Democrat challengers barely cracked 10,000 each. Jessup has been held in Las Vegas since June 26 after being
arrested in Hancock County and extradited to Nevada. He was granted house
arrest on August 10 after posting a $100,000 bond and has been staying in the
area as his case progressed. The arrest stemmed from a reported sexual assault of a woman
in January after she and Jessup had a drunken night out in Las Vegas. The victim alleges
that Jessup forced her to drink excessive amounts of alcohol before taking
advantage of her in his hotel room and sexually assaulting her. Witnesses who were with Jessup and the victim corroborated the woman’s story, adding that Jessup said “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” multiple times throughout the night. At the time of his arrest, Jessup allegedly told police there was “nothing criminal” about what he’d done, describing the incident as a “f***ed up, drunk night.” Hold on to that admission ... A jury trial in Jessup’s case was originally scheduled to
begin in late February but that trial was canceled following his
plea deal; Jessup will be sentenced in April 2025, and while his attempted
sexual assault charge is a probational offense, he said he expects the Las
Vegas prosecutor to ask for prison time: “We’ll be arguing for probation while the prosecution will argue from eight to 20 [years]. I didn’t have much of a choice today, it was either take the deal or go to trial … The other deal that was available for me today was to take four years in prison.” Hancock County Republican Chair Janice D. Silvey says Jessup is planning to resign from the council as soon as he is officially sworn: “It’s been my greatest honor serving the people of Hancock County and I’m deeply, deeply ashamed and profoundly sorry for the shame that I brought to the county,” Jessup said. Quick to take a plea and quick to resign; huh. That seems
odd until you hear the full story … One of Rachel Jessup’s fondest childhood memories was going to
the polls on Election Day with her dad, John Jessup. She began going to the
polls with her dad when she was in kindergarten: “‘Please vote for my daddy’ is what I used to say to voters. I was a typical 5-year-old kid who idolized my dad, and as I got older I always supported his political runs because I was his go-to person going to the polls with him. I was a daddy’s girl.” Rachel, now a 22-year-old college student, is trying to
forget Jessup, a man she now calls “John” instead of “Dad.” Rachel is John Jessup’s
youngest biological daughter and is the woman Jessup is accused of sexually
assaulting during that drunken night in Las Vegas in late January. Jessup had
taken his daughter there to celebrate her 21st birthday. Yes, he sexually assaulted his own child and after being
accused of the crime called it no big deal and was elected to office. But is that really so odd, electing
a rapist to county council after you elected a rapist President? This Bitch needs a good long lockup. |

OHIO Michael Zacharias, a former priest was sentenced to life in prison on two counts and 20 years on three counts. A federal jury found him guilty of five counts of sex trafficking, some of which involved minors. Zacharias used his position as a priest at Saint Michael the Archangel Parish to target victims and coerce them into sex acts. NORTH CAROLINA
MISSISSIPPI Samuel Lamar Taylor, a minister at several churches throughout Rankin County, has been sentenced to life without parole after being convicted of one count of sexual battery and one count of gratification of lust concerning an 11-year-old autistic child. MICHIGAN
WISCONSIN Anne Nelson-Koch, a former Tomah Baptist Academy teacher has been sentenced to 10 years prison, 15 years supervised release for convictions on 25 counts of sexual assault, repeatedly forcing a 14-year-old student to engage in sex acts during school hours. TEXAS Corey White, a former youth pastor at Redeemer Midland, was arrested and charged with Access with Intent to View Child Sexual Abuse Materials. And

NEW MEXICO Daniel Balizan, a Roman Catholic priest who was removed from a Santa Fe parish nearly a year ago amid a misconduct investigation, has been charged with enticement of a minor with the intent to engage in sexual activity. WISCONSIN Jordan Huffman, a former Plover youth pastor, has agreed to a plea deal after pleading guilty to two counts of repeated sexual assault of a child; six other charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal. PENNSYLVANIA Marvin Leroy Mosley, former pastor of United Methodist Church in West Penn Twp., was charged with indecent assault involving three juvenile girls between 2007 and 2012. Mosley is no longer a pastor at the United Methodist Church but at the time of his arrest was serving at a church outside of Schuylkill County. And

Tomi Lahren, on Twitter, but I do see her posts every so often, where she rants
about the LGBTQ+ community and drag queens sexualizing and grooming children.
And every time she posts her nonsense, I ask her—though she never responds
because it doesn’t suit the Hate Narrative she pushes, why she says nary a word
about so-called Men of God, Men of Faith, who groom and abuse children and are
arrested and imprisoned for such. So, here’s some info for Tomi, that I will
share to her page, and no doubt not hear a word about it … CALIFORNIA Jose Andres Lopez, A retired Orange County pastor, was sentenced to 186 years to life in prison for sexually abusing two young girls with whom he is related from 1991 to 2020. ALASKA Dwight Chris John, age seventy-one, who served on the governing board of a Christian & Missionary Alliance church, has been charged with six counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 1st Degree, seven counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor 2nd Degree, Sexual Abuse of a Minor 3rd Degree, and three counts of Incest. The Investigation is ongoing. CALIFORNIA Michael Sasser, a Modesto man who stepped down from his role as a church youth leader a month before his arrest has pleaded guilty to three counts of child molestation for acts that occurred during a period of months in 2022 and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. KANSAS Joseph Heidesch, s former private Catholic school teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, pleaded guilty to one felony count of sexual exploitation of a child and 25 counts of breach of privacy for secretly recording video of more than 100 girls and will spend five years in prison with no chance of parole. VIRGINIA Scott Asalone, now 66, A former Loudoun County Catholic priest, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old child; Asalone is required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life. TEXAS Daniel Savala, who’s accused of sexually abusing multiple men in the Assemblies of God’s Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, has also been arrested in Houston on sex abuse charges involving minors. It’s the second arrest in an investigation started in April by Waco Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit. On May 23, Chris Hundl, former leader of the Chi Alpha chapter at Baylor University and pastor of Mountain Valley Fellowship in Waco, was arrested on identical charges in Waco. According to police records, Hundl drove two boys to Savala’s residence in Houston where Savala “masturbated both children” in his home sauna. OHIO Robert Auxter, a former Monroe pastor at Grace Lutheran Church was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, which are third-degree felonies. Auxter is required to register as a tier 2 sex offender. SOUTH CAROLINA Daniel Kellan Mayfield, youth pastor at Gowensville First Baptist Church faces new charges of video recording girls—as young as 14—in the bathroom of the church he was fired from recently. He was also charged with using his phone to video record a woman while she was showering at her mother’s home in Greenwood County. PENNSYLVANIA Brandon S. Dasilva, a former youth pastor in Ephrata man is charged with possessing child pornography—and it’s not his first offense; he was also charged in February 2021 and failed to register his Twitch account and email address with Pennsylvania State Police, which was a condition of a prior conviction. MAINE Raymond K. Chang, a 36-year-old pastor at “Resurrection Church” was arrested on a warrant alleging he sexually assaulted a child. The victim reported being sexually assaulted by Chang multiple times from when she was 12 to 14 years old. The affidavit quotes the victim as saying that she reported the sexual abuse to a family member and in response the family got together with members of Chang’s former church—which is not named in the affidavit—and she was told to apologize and to forgive Chang. CALIFORNIA Steven Brian Arey, a former youth pastor in Tulare who was working for the California Department of Corrections at the time of his arrest in 2019, was sentenced to 300 years in prison on 20 counts of lewd acts with a child under the age of 14. NEW HAMPSHIRE Kevin Straughan, a former minister of Agape Ministries Church, is accused of strangulation and sexual assault and is being investigated for similar charges in Florida. Straughan has been indicted on several charges, including four counts of sexual assault and second-degree assault of children. Police said the victims were people he knew, including children. TEXAS Michael Anthony Romero, a former employee of a Magnolia church, has turned himself in and confessed to ‘inappropriate behavior with adolescents’ during his time at the ministry. OHIO The Rev. Michael Jude Zacharias, a Roman Catholic priest who has led parishes in Mansfield and Fremont, has been found guilty on all five counts of sex trafficking, two of which involved victims who were minors. Zacharias admitted to having had sexual relations with several men but maintained that the sex never involved anyone younger than 18 but a nine-page affidavit accuses Zacharias of “grooming” victims to use their drug addiction as a way to perform sexual acts on them. MISSISSIPPI Daniel Paul Harris, a Mississippi educator who, with his wife, founded the Kaimen Center to provide activities and experiences for children and adults of varying disabilities, was arrested and charged Thursday with two counts of molestation involving a child, two counts of sexual battery and one count of unnatural intercourse. CALIFORNIA Stephen McCurtis, pastor at Maricopa Community Church, has been charged with committing lewd and lascivious acts upon a child after a girl alleged McCurtis kissed and touched her inappropriately. The girl when she was 12 & 13 at the time. McCurtis denies touching the child intimately but told a deputy that he kissed her but claims he was not the pursuer, that the 13-year-old girl pursued him. LOUISIANA Jacob De La Paz, who left his employ at St. Thomas More High School abruptly, has been arrested after a video surfaced showing him shirtless and apparently saying sexually suggestive things to student he tutors. He has been charged with the federal crime of enticing a minor to produce child pornography or child sexual assault material. IOWA Jordan Dee Andrew Webb, who served as a missionary in the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia, was found guilty of one count of second-degree sexual abuse with persons under the age of 12, a Class B felony; incest, a class D felony; and child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. Here’s another round-up of the groomers raping children in
our churches and schools … and not one is a drag queen reading a book: MICHIGAN Vincent DeLorenzo, 84, a former priest accused of abusing a child in the 1980s, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct for the sexual assault of a 5-year-old boy after a funeral service he officiated for the child’s relative in 1987. He is sentenced to one year in jail, five years’ probation and will be required to register as sex offender and pay restitution. FLORIDA Donny Raney, a pastor in the Okeechobee County School District is facing allegations that he was engaged in an inappropriate romantic connection with a student at the school; it’s not romance with an underage student, it’s rape. IOWA Kristen Gantt, a Dowling Catholic High School teacher has been arrested for an alleged sexual relationship with a student. Authorities believe Gantt engaged in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student in her class. COLORADO Robert Henry Gordon, a music teacher at the First United Pentecostal Church, has been arrested on charges of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust, sexual assault on a child, unlawful sexual contact, and enticement of a child. CALIFORNIA Jesse Joshua Aceves, who founded the Christian clothing brand The Way and WAS active in the Christian hip-hop music scene, has been convicted of “numerous” charges of child molestation and sentenced to 35 years in prison. Aceves is suspected of molesting three children though police suspect there might be additional victims. FLORIDA Ed Wilds III, a Putnam County youth pastor, was arrested on charges of possessing child porn. Wilds’ father is the main pastor of the church and declined to comment on his son’s arrest. OKLAHOMA Cody Barlow, Wewoka Middle School principal and youth pastor, was charged with two felony counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child under the age of 16. A federal lawsuit reveals graphic allegations of Barlow’s “grooming behavior” towards students. The victim, a then-6th grader, claims Barlow would initiate inappropriate contact in front of other Wewoka faculty members and parents, and on one occasion a WMS counselor walked into Barlow’s office and witnessed Barlow standing behind a 7th grade boy, rubbing the teen’s shoulders and thrusting his hips back and forth against the boy. CALIFORNIA Michael Sasser, a Modesto man who has served in a leadership role over student ministries at Redeemer Church, has been charged with forcible sexual penetration, continual sexual abuse of a child and lewd and lascivious acts with a child. GEORGIA Alfonza McClendon Sr., a former Savannah pastor, will serve 25 years in prison and life on probation for child molestation and statutory rape. He was convicted of molesting two children between 2013 and 2017 while pastor of the First Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. NORTH CAROLINA Erickson Douglas Lee, a police officer, was arrested for child sex-related crimes committed while acting as a church youth leader. According to his arrest warrant out of York County, the allegations against Erickson Douglas Lee were for incidents reported between December 2020 and July 2022. Lee is accused of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor between December 2020 and June 2022, and of committing a sex act with a victim less than 16 years old. Remember, when someone tells you about the dangers of drag
queens around children, remind them that not one drag queen has been arrested
for inappropriate relations with a child, but many members of our churches have

Y’all know by now that Carlos and I love us some Jeopardy,
and I am constantly stunned by the severe lack of knowledge some people have;
it scares me for the future of the world that last week two out of three contestants
could not answer a simple question about ::: gulp::: The Golden Girls in
a category called Everything’s Coming Up Rose: “In 1986 she won an Emmy for playing Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls.” Naturally, Carlos and I shrieked: “BETTY WHITE!!!” The first guy answered: “Who’s McClanahan?” And then Carlos and I screamed: “BETTY WHITE!!!!” The second guy, a self-professed homosexual who
was subsequently asked to turn in his Gay Card, said: “Who is Bea Arthur?” And we screamed and threw our shoes at the TV: “IT'S BETTY FUCKING WHIIIIIIIIIITE!!!!!!!” The third contestant did not offer an answer
but gets no props for not knowing that it was FUCKING BETTTY WHITE!!!! It took me several hours to calm down. Carlos is still annoyed. |

On the PBS show, Finding Your Roots, Henry Gates
traced the ancestry of famous people. Every week is an interesting show, but
one time he featured actor Tamera Mowry. Mowry is biracial—her mother is Black,
her father is white—and learned that on her mother’s side, her family were
slaves in the Bahamas and then in America. But on her father’s side she was told her ancestors
originally lived in England and were victims of religious persecution until
they fled to the US aboard a little ship called the Mayflower. Mowry let all
that sink in and then held her left hand UP, saying: “This side of my family started this whole thing, and then … [she held up her right hand] … they enslaved this side of my family.” What an amazing perspective on her ancestry. It's a fascinating show if you aren’t watching. |

Ah, Murphy's Law ... Last Sunday was a housekeeping and yard cleaning kind of day; lawns mowed, hedges trimmed, laundry done and the oven cleaned. I tackled the lawn first and it went bad quickly. The week prior Carlos had been pulling these invasive vines out of some trees in the side yard. He would then take the vine and roll it up like an electrical cord and tie it up in a bundle and toss it on the ground with some leaves. I didn't know he'd left them there, under the leaves, and so I ran the mower over the leaves to mulch them, but one of the coiled vines wrapped itself around the mower blade and jerked the whole machine to a standstill. We tried to get the vines off to no avail, and then called a lawn mower service to fix the problem and do the routine maintenance on the mower. To the tune of some $400. Ah, well, we learned a lesson to not tie up vines into little bundles and to not run the riding mower over a pile of leaves because we don’t know what’s under it. Next, I'm back in the house setting the oven to clean; a three-hour process which means the oven and stove are unusable until about 3PM. I wanted to grill salmon and do it up with all kinds of veggies and serve it over rice, so I set about prepping the dinner. I sliced onion, poblano pepper, mushrooms, fresh ginger, garlic, carrots, celery, broccoli, scallions and fresh cilantro. After the oven was cleaned, and wiped out, I decided to
start dinner and took the prepped veggies out and set them on the counter. I
then thought, to keep it light and fresh, I’d drizzled a little Rice Wine
vinegar over the veggies when they were sautéing so I grabbed the bottle of
vinegar off the top shelf. It slid out of my hand and landed on the plate of
prepared veggies, shattering the plate and sending veggies sailing all over the
kitchen. Oy, the curse words that rained through the house as I
cleaned up the mess and then meticulously set about slicing more veggies for my
dinner. At least it tasted good; I think. I was still kinda seeing
red at my clumsiness. |
