I don’t follow rightwingnut and faux Christian,
Tomi Lahren, on Twitter, but I do see her posts every so often, where she rants
about the LGBTQ+ community and drag queens sexualizing and grooming children.
And every time she posts her nonsense, I ask her—though she never responds
because it doesn’t suit the Hate Narrative she pushes, why she says nary a word
about so-called Men of God, Men of Faith, who groom and abuse children and are
arrested and imprisoned for such. So, here’s some info for Tomi, that I will
share to her page, and no doubt not hear a word about it … CALIFORNIA Jose Andres Lopez, A retired Orange County pastor, was sentenced to 186 years to life in prison for sexually abusing two young girls with whom he is related from 1991 to 2020. ALASKA Dwight Chris John, age seventy-one, who served on the governing board of a Christian & Missionary Alliance church, has been charged with six counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 1st Degree, seven counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor 2nd Degree, Sexual Abuse of a Minor 3rd Degree, and three counts of Incest. The Investigation is ongoing. CALIFORNIA Michael Sasser, a Modesto man who stepped down from his role as a church youth leader a month before his arrest has pleaded guilty to three counts of child molestation for acts that occurred during a period of months in 2022 and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. KANSAS Joseph Heidesch, s former private Catholic school teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, pleaded guilty to one felony count of sexual exploitation of a child and 25 counts of breach of privacy for secretly recording video of more than 100 girls and will spend five years in prison with no chance of parole. VIRGINIA Scott Asalone, now 66, A former Loudoun County Catholic priest, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old child; Asalone is required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life. TEXAS Daniel Savala, who’s accused of sexually abusing multiple men in the Assemblies of God’s Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, has also been arrested in Houston on sex abuse charges involving minors. It’s the second arrest in an investigation started in April by Waco Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit. On May 23, Chris Hundl, former leader of the Chi Alpha chapter at Baylor University and pastor of Mountain Valley Fellowship in Waco, was arrested on identical charges in Waco. According to police records, Hundl drove two boys to Savala’s residence in Houston where Savala “masturbated both children” in his home sauna. OHIO Robert Auxter, a former Monroe pastor at Grace Lutheran Church was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, which are third-degree felonies. Auxter is required to register as a tier 2 sex offender. SOUTH CAROLINA Daniel Kellan Mayfield, youth pastor at Gowensville First Baptist Church faces new charges of video recording girls—as young as 14—in the bathroom of the church he was fired from recently. He was also charged with using his phone to video record a woman while she was showering at her mother’s home in Greenwood County. PENNSYLVANIA Brandon S. Dasilva, a former youth pastor in Ephrata man is charged with possessing child pornography—and it’s not his first offense; he was also charged in February 2021 and failed to register his Twitch account and email address with Pennsylvania State Police, which was a condition of a prior conviction. MAINE Raymond K. Chang, a 36-year-old pastor at “Resurrection Church” was arrested on a warrant alleging he sexually assaulted a child. The victim reported being sexually assaulted by Chang multiple times from when she was 12 to 14 years old. The affidavit quotes the victim as saying that she reported the sexual abuse to a family member and in response the family got together with members of Chang’s former church—which is not named in the affidavit—and she was told to apologize and to forgive Chang. CALIFORNIA Steven Brian Arey, a former youth pastor in Tulare who was working for the California Department of Corrections at the time of his arrest in 2019, was sentenced to 300 years in prison on 20 counts of lewd acts with a child under the age of 14. NEW HAMPSHIRE Kevin Straughan, a former minister of Agape Ministries Church, is accused of strangulation and sexual assault and is being investigated for similar charges in Florida. Straughan has been indicted on several charges, including four counts of sexual assault and second-degree assault of children. Police said the victims were people he knew, including children. TEXAS Michael Anthony Romero, a former employee of a Magnolia church, has turned himself in and confessed to ‘inappropriate behavior with adolescents’ during his time at the ministry. OHIO The Rev. Michael Jude Zacharias, a Roman Catholic priest who has led parishes in Mansfield and Fremont, has been found guilty on all five counts of sex trafficking, two of which involved victims who were minors. Zacharias admitted to having had sexual relations with several men but maintained that the sex never involved anyone younger than 18 but a nine-page affidavit accuses Zacharias of “grooming” victims to use their drug addiction as a way to perform sexual acts on them. MISSISSIPPI Daniel Paul Harris, a Mississippi educator who, with his wife, founded the Kaimen Center to provide activities and experiences for children and adults of varying disabilities, was arrested and charged Thursday with two counts of molestation involving a child, two counts of sexual battery and one count of unnatural intercourse. CALIFORNIA Stephen McCurtis, pastor at Maricopa Community Church, has been charged with committing lewd and lascivious acts upon a child after a girl alleged McCurtis kissed and touched her inappropriately. The girl when she was 12 & 13 at the time. McCurtis denies touching the child intimately but told a deputy that he kissed her but claims he was not the pursuer, that the 13-year-old girl pursued him. LOUISIANA Jacob De La Paz, who left his employ at St. Thomas More High School abruptly, has been arrested after a video surfaced showing him shirtless and apparently saying sexually suggestive things to student he tutors. He has been charged with the federal crime of enticing a minor to produce child pornography or child sexual assault material. IOWA Jordan Dee Andrew Webb, who served as a missionary in the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia, was found guilty of one count of second-degree sexual abuse with persons under the age of 12, a Class B felony; incest, a class D felony; and child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. See, Tomi, not one drag queen or gay person in the bunch,
and yet these people, many of whom have been arrested, charged, tried and found
guilty, or admitted guilt, will every appear on your timeline, because you just
want to push forward the rightwing, GOP, faux Christian, lies about LGBTQ+
people. But we see you, and we know who’s grooming children. h/t JoeMyGod |

Alaska Is Crazy...Or, At Least, Gordon Warren Epperly Is Crazy
I've always thought Alaskans were crazy because it's too cold to live up there, and because it's dark, sometimes, all day long, and because they elected the Mama Grizzly Bore™ to office.
And now they've given me a whole new reason to find them utterly wack-nutty. See, I always thought the birthers, who tried to keep Obama out of office, or remove him from office, because they believed he was born here, were crazy, but now one Gordon Warren Epperly filed a lawsuit in Alaska challenging President Obama's inclusion on the 2012 presidential ballot.
Birther? No, something much more ignorant than that. See, Gordon Warren Epperly--he of the half brain and too much free time--believes Negroes and mulattoes can't be president because they aren't really citizens.
Oh, but he does.
His lawsuit states:
Seriously, Alaska, first Palin and now Gordon Warren Epperly? Now, before you get your snowshoes all twisted, I completely understand that Gordon Warren Epperly does not represent the feelings of the entire state. But I just want you to know that maybe those long, dark days and all that snow, make wingnuts feel comfortable up there.

Oh, but he does.
His lawsuit states:
Barack Hussein Obama II, a.k.a. Barack Hussein Obama, aka. Barack H. Obama has the race status of being a "mulatto." Barack Obama's father (Barack Hussein Obama I) was a full blood Negro being born Nyang'oma Kogelo, Nyanza Province, Kenya and raised in the Colony of Kenya. Barack Obama's mother (Stanley Ann Dunham) was a white Caucasian woman being born in Wichita, Kansas on November 29, 1942 and raised in the state of Washington and in the state of Hawaii. And it concludes with:
As stated above, for an Individual to be a candidate for the office of president of the United States, the candidate must meet the qualifications set forth in the United States Constitution and one of those qualifications is that the Candidate shall be a "natural born citizen" of the United States. As Barack Hussein Obama II is of the "mulatto" race, his status of citizenship is founded upon the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Before the [purported] ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment, the race of "Negro" or "mulatto" had no standing to be citizens of the United States under the United States Constitution.Apparently Gordon Warren Epperly--he of the limited brain activity and access to too much FauxNews--didn't realize that the Fourteenth Amendment defined citizenship and granted both civil and political rights to those born in the United States; it also made it illegal for any state to deny those rights. In addition, the Fourteenth Amendment overturned the Dred Scott decision which found that slaves and their descendants could never be U.S. citizens.

Mayor Levi.....Has A Nice Ring To It
Levi Johnston is following in his Baby-Momma-In-Law's footsteps and running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.
And, of course, as all things Levi are apt to be, it will be made into a reality program called, Loving Levi: The Road to the
Mayor's Office. The show will center on Johnston's newfound fame as the baby daddy to Palin's grandson, Tripp.

Levi Johnston, not the smartest tool in the shed, though I love his knack for needling Mama Grizzly Bore, admits he wasn't thrilled at first about the mayoral campaign concept, but "the more I think about it and look into it, I think there's a possibility we can make it happen. It's something that I want to do."
One bump in the road, and no, it's not The Quitter, is that Wasilla's mayoral chair isn't actually up for election until 2012. In the meantime, Johnston may look to run for city council.
Levi does say, that if he is elected, he promises to fulfill his duty as the town's mayor.
Unlike that other Alaska politician who quit her job as governor to cash in on her infamy.

Caribou Barbie Ain't Gonna Like This
Pretty, ain't it?
Civil liberty advocates are urging the Anchorage Assembly to pass a newly introduced gay rights ordinance that would ban housing, education, or employment discrimination against gays and lesbians; it would also prohibit discrimination against military veterans. Opponents claim the measure tacked on vets to make it appeal to more people.
Or maybe, just maybe, it's there to prevent discrimination.
"There isn't really a tie between those who are veterans of wars and those who are having sexual orientation issues," said Jim Minnery with the Alaska Family Council--another name that conjures up images of June Cleaver, Ward, and the Beaver. "We don't believe homosexuals and lesbians are being homeless and without jobs because of their sexual orientation. There's plenty of businesses and landlords across the community that are more than willing to be tolerant."
First off, Jim, I don't have sexual orientation issues. You and your cute little group have issues with my sexual orientation. See how that works. You say one thing and then put the blame on the person you're talking about. There's a lot of that going on these days, but most of the offenders don't see it.
Alaska resident Diana Wolfe is building a Web site and wants to write about her life, especially about her fight for gay rights. "I'm just a normal person and so is my partner," she said. "Why do we have to hide who we are?"
Well, Diane, apparently you need to hide who you are so you can get a job, or rent a home, or, well, just be treated equally. Jim Minnery wants all LGBT Alaskans to go back in the closet and behave nicely. Quit asking for equality.
And, of course, there are those against the ordinance who say it would limit religious liberties, not civil liberties.
I keep trying to remind y'all. There is a separation of church and state in this country, so quit using your religious ideology to fight laws about discrimination. I don't want to step on your beliefs, so get offa me.
Lastly, and this is odd, this same issue came before the Assembly way back in the 70s; it was approved, but was vetoed by then-Mayor George Sullivan, father of current Mayor-elect Dan Sullivan. Hopefully this won't be a case of Like Father, Like Son.
Acting Mayor Matt Claman supports the measure and says he doesn't plan to veto it. Mayor-elect Sullivan says he still needs to review the ordinance.
I say it's a step toward non-discrimination.
That can only be good.

Remember The Fall

Yáll remember last year, when the Hockey Mom and the Grampa tried to win the White House?
And didn't!
Well, you certainly can remember that Sarah Palin, Alaska's Repugnant Governor, tried to play herself off as the reformanator, who despised earmarks. Remember the Bridge to Nowhere? Remember how folksy she was, sayin, "Thanks but no thanks?" Remember how she said she turned it down? Turned out to be yet another Palin fabrication, or mis-remembrance of things past.
Wink-wink.
Out on the campaign trail, in her borrowed suits she never returned, Sarah kept on insisting that if she were elected vice president, she would lead the charge in Washington against earmarks.
But, uh that was then and this is now, and Sarah is nowhere near being vice-president, thank god. And she is less likely to keep Alaska's wallet closed when it comes to those awful, awful earmarks. See, the spending bill that Obama signed last week includes many of the earmarks that Palin sought.

Go figure. Sarah Palin says one thing and does another.
I'd like yáll to remember this when she crawls out of the frozen north to run again in 2012.
The $410 billion bill has been blasted by Repugs and some Democrats for being loaded with over 9,000 earmarks. You all remember John McCain't raging against the president about the spending bill. "So much for the promise of change!" I think he was referring to the change he was owed at the Starbucks because he only had a Venti, not a Grande.

"So much for the promise of change!" I think he was referring to the change he was owed at the Starbucks because he only had a Venti, not a Grande.
But I digress.
But back to Palin. Earmarks in the bill are quite generous to Alaska; Alaska will receive more money, per capita, from the bill's earmarks than any other state--some $209.71 for each resident. And one-hundred earmarks in the bill, worth a total of $143.9 million, are tagged solely for Palin's state.
When asked about all these earmarks for Alaska, Palin's mouthpiece, Billy Joe McAllister, pointed the finger at Repug Senator Lisa Murkowski and Repug Representative Don Young as the two responsible for these provisions.

And yet in an email--damn that internet!--Billy Joe noted that a "few of [the Alaska earmarks] were requested directly" by Palin. He declined to say exactly how many and which ones specifically. But that shouldn't come as a surprise. A Repugnant not willing to answer a question truthfully.
Oh the horrors!
The earmarks that Palin apparently will accept include half-a-million bucks for a "heritage center" in the Chilkat Indian Village; $200,000 for researching the king crab; and $855,000 for building fairgrounds. The Alaska earmarks also include $1.2 million for construction work on an airport on Akutan, a tiny island that relies on seaplane for contact with the Alaskan mainland. Akutan has roughly 800 residents. Let's hear it for the Airport to Nowhere.
Whether or not any of these projects is worthwhile--the people of Akutan might actually airport to keep their community alive--Palin is certainly not railing against these earmarks.

Still, it doesn't hurt to remember the fall, last fall, when Palin, in her Lord and Taylor, Repugnant Party suits, tried to ride the anti-earmark train into Washington DC.
Now she looks the other way, asks for earmarks specifically, accepts all the money that comes in, and forgets her past crusade.
