Bobservations

Yesterday I was discussing the Chris Evans accident dick pic that blew up the internet this week … of course, this was after a several minute discussion where I had to explain to Carlos who Chris Evans is, because the man knows nothing from pop culture.

But after that, with Carlos up to speed, I told him that Evans had finally responded to the picture with a new Tweet that said:

“Now that I have your attention … VOTE Nov 3rd!!!”

And Carlos had the best response when he said:

“Just don’t vote for the dickhead.”

Every so often he gets a good one off.

Tuxedo thinks maybe it’s time to put women un charge and end this misogynistic bull shiz. But then, he’s just a cat …

Maybe if Bob Woodward had said something about _____’s decision to downplay the virus, some people might not have gotten sick … like the thousands who attended any of _____’s six indoor rallies after he acknowledged on those tapes that the virus was lethal and airborne.

But _____ knew, and still held a series of rallies to boost his ego, so, yeah, that’s on him. And so is this …

At his last rally in Nevada, where a crowd of over a thousand was mostly mask-less, _____was asked about the lack of masks. He told the reporter he was more worried about her because she was awfully close to him. And when she reiterated that she was talking about the rally crowd, he replied that he was kept far away from them.

See, he doesn’t care about ‘them,’ even if they attend his rally, he was only concerned about himself.

That should tell you all you need to know!

Meanwhile, back at Chris Evans dick … his brother, Scott Evan, a hot gay cutie, reacted to the brouhaha over the photo by tweeting”

“Was off social media for the day yesterday. So. What’d I miss?”

You missed a dick, but they’re everywhere so ….

This week ______ participated in a town hall, hosted by ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos and the subject of masks came up. _____ says he often wears them—in hospitals or other places—and then blamed Joe Biden and the Democrats for not instituting a mask- mandate:

“They said at the Democrat Convention…they’re going to do a national mandate, they never did it, because they’re checked out, they never did it.”

His idiot twisted logic caused Joe Biden to Tweet that he cannot mandate a nationwide mask order because:

“I am not currently president.”

Currently!

In Ego News … Madonna is writing and directing another film, which begs the question, Did no producers or film studios ever see W.E.?

The film is about Madonna’s favorite subject … Madonna … and I imagine she’ll try to use some computer magic to make her play the star of the film.

I see clusterfuck.

Lifetime has just announced that it will produce its first gay-themed Christmas movie, The Christmas Setup, which will star real-life married couple Blake Lee, from Parks and Recreation, and Ben Lewis, from The Handmaid’s Tale).

Lewis plays a New York City lawyer who goes to Milwaukee to spend Christmas with his mom, who meddles in his love life by arranging for him to run into his old crush played by Lee.

Leis and Lee had a much better meet back in 2010 when they randomly met in the men’s room at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood for the premiere of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, which costarred Lee, who told his friends:

“I just met the man I’m going to marry—at the urinal.”

I’d like to see that film.

Fashion label Patagonia’s latest line of clothing features a rather interesting political message on the tag which many think is Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard’s way of getting his views across. A statement on the brand’s website emphasizes its investment in the election result and the impact it will have on environmental policy.

I am not a label gay, but I can get behind this one.

South Carolina’s own Lady G, aka Miss Lindsey, AKA ReTHUGlican lapdog Lindsey Graham was left with egg on his face—and he usually prefers some other sticky substance—after his campaign tried to smear his opponent Jaime Harrison by saying Harrison wouldn’t release his taxes. Graham even suggested Harrison was hiding something.

And in an instant Harrison released his tax returns but got the last ;laugh when he Tweeted back at Miss Lindsey:

Done. Now do President _____.”

And … snap!

For the last couple of years, I was hooked on the Starz channel’s Power, about a drug kingpin trying, and failing often, to go straight. To be fair, the hook started when I first saw Omari Hardwicke as Ghost, but that’s just me.

This new reboot of the show is Ghost: Power, Book II, which tells the tale of Ghost’s son Tariq, who may, or may not, become a drug kingpin. But the hotties this season are Daniel Bellomy as Zeke Cross, the star athlete, top right, and Gianni Paolo as Brayden, the rich kid, top right, and the Will He or Won’t He Become a Husband In My Head, Justin Marcel McManus as Jabari Reynolds, the hot teacher.

Keep me after class? Okay!

PR All-St★rs 6 Ep13: Finally! The Finale!

The finale starts as the three finalists enter the work room to find Helen, Candice, and Amanda are back to help them finish their collections …including the creation of a seventh look.

It’s all a bit of a lovefest—well, except for Helen, who explains that she’s glad to work with Fabio because …
“There’s one person I truly like this season, it’s Fabio.”
Wow; she’s really a bitch.

Anyway, the designers and their helpers get down to work because not is just five days to make seven looks and who has the time?

So, let’s dish …
STANLEY
Stanley’s collection will be Modern, Bold, Classic, and he’s paired with Amanda; he instantly gives her some colorblocking to do and she’s in heaven.

Still, I’m worried, because the clothes are beautifully made, which is totally Stanley, but I’m not getting a ‘Wow’ moment.

Anne Fulenwider agrees with me, and tells Stanley his collection needs some pow, as in color:
“You don’t get points for just tasteful, classy, and wearable.”
Stanley takes his second

WHAT I SAID
I loved the first look; it’s kind of Sergeant Pepper enters the Matrix. The second look was giving me Judy Carne from Laugh-In and I liked it; and I liked that he added a red strip to it. The third look, a simple pink dress was stunning in it’s simplicity, proof that you don’t need bells and whistles on every garment. The fourth look was cute, but I kind of forgot it as soon as it passed. I called the fifth look sexy and severe, while the sixth was a tad too baggy, though I loved the idea. The last look was his take on Puritanism and I still like it.

WHAT THE JUDGES SAID
Isaac Mizrahi thought the collection was amazing and was especially mad about the red-pink dress, calling it chaste and sexy; his one quibble was that he wished Stanley had clipped off the center pieces of the belt buckles on the first look, so it wasn’t so obvious that they were buckles. He thought the whole thing was the best, most balanced, and expensive looking, collection.

The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ called it beautiful simplicity and loved the first and lest looks especially; she called them real clothes you could sell today. She thinks the looks are polished and mature.

Guest judge Zac Posen called it stunning, sophisticated, beautifully executed; the first look was his favorite—modern and regal—but the collar and veil on the last look threw him.

Catherine Zeta Jones …why is she here? … loved the first look, and the crispness of the pants; like Georgine, she also loved the last look, too, calling the collection organic.

Alyssa joined the crowd in loving the first look.
FABIO
Since the judges hated his chinoiserie bird print, Fabio will scrap it, and stick to his navy, cream and white palette. And while there will still be contrasts, like Stanley, his looks need a jolt.

When Anne suggests a color, Fabio shows bits of yellow, and she suggests that he add it throughout to give the collection more power. Fabio uses his second Mood trip to stock up on that yellow and it was a wise move.

WHAT I SAID
I loved the smocking skirt, and the new top works better, making the skirt the star of that show. The second look had a fabulous little striped coat, and while the shorts were an odd length for me, they’re totally Fabio’s edge. The third look was so casual and chic and simple; timeless, but modern. I liked what he tried with the fourth look, and I liked watching it walk, but the still photo is giving me surgical scrubs, albeit modern surgical scrubs. The fifth look also is giving me clinician, but I do love the back drape. Number six is my favorite; I was getting a Ralph Lauren vibe, but only if Ralph Lauren lived long enough to become Fabio—no offense to Mr. Lauren since he’s still alive. I also liked the kimono quality of the last look, though I found it a little too long and the fabric seemed kind of heavy.

WHAT THE JUDGES SAID
The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ was stunned by the fact that Fabio could drape so well; she loved the short, striped jacket and wished it had been paired with something more street, more grunge.  She did say, based on separates, he had the best collection

Isaac Mizrahi called the collection=n ‘moving,’ and loved the yellow cardigan; he called the collection delicate in its oddness but wished it had been more ‘%$@# you’ odd. He did find the collection heartfelt.

Zeta Jones loved the jumpsuit with the bell sleeves and thought the whole collection was feminine and edgy, street to couture.

Zac Posen was all about the timeless jumpsuit and said that the fifth look would have worked as just a dress—Fabio did add that his clients wouldn’t wear a dress.

Alyssa called it innovative and new and modern and relatable.
ANTHONY
Anthony got the ‘Oh no, he’ll never finish’ edit because he completely scrapped his signature look and refused to hear it when Candice told him to bring it back. But he wanted drama and paint and leather and sheers and feathers and so that meant ‘Shut up and sew.’

It also meant a talk off the cliff from Anne, who loved what he was doing, but warned him that too much might never get done.

At Mood he opts for black velvet, because paint looks good on velvet …tell that to Elvis on Velvet … to create a Little Black Dress.

WHAT I SAID
The skirt on the first look was über tight but I liked the paint splatter. The second look also suffered from TSS—tight skirt syndrome—but I loved the sexy sheer Rihanna top. I got Origami Fortune Cookie from the third piece, and that’s no shade, while the fourth piece was a giant wow … for about twelve second. The fifth look was great coming at you and fabulous walking away. The sixth piece was my least favorite; it didn’t seem to fit. But that last look was breathtaking, and then she turned to walk away, and the skirt filled the runway, I told Carlo I need that for when I wanna make a dramatic departure from a room; we’ll see.

WHAT THE JUDGES SAID
Alyssa called the collection a breath of fresh air, loved the back of the LBD—which he says he did because of Georgina’s advice, causing Isaac to tell Georgina she was making little monsters everywhere.

The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ was surprised by the rock-n-roll attitude in the collection, and loved the last look, though the print bothered her; she also felt the white skirt was too long, and the top too sheer.

Zac Posen disagreed saying it was a Rihanna look and he totally knows Rihanna and she’d wear it. Isaac helped pick up the names he dropped. He also thought the all-white look was divine.

Isaac Mizrahi also loved the last look; he dubbed the fabric and design ‘brutalism’.

Zeta Jones said the last look made her gasp harder than she’d gasped since she saw how much money she’d get after signing that Michael Douglas pre-nup. She added that the LBD was ‘everything.’
I was glad they didn’t drag it out by first sending someone home, and just simply announced the winner … Anthony … wo squealed so loudly my ears are still ringing.

I loved the champagne and cake segment when the three finalists sat down together and were just nice to one another, and happy to be in the finale together. I does like me some drama, you know that, but this was nice, too.

That said, was I happy Anthony won? Yes …and no. I would have been happy with any of the three, but, while Anthony’s clothes were beautiful and has some great ideas, I felt Stanley’s looks were more refined, more new, and that Fabio’s collection was the future.

Still, I give Anthony props, because he sold that collections, noting that he listened to Georgina’s advice and Isaac’s critiques, and he took some lessons from what Zac Posen has done; he’s learned a great deal. And, quite simply, his idea for the collection … if Audrey Hepburn had lived long enough to become Rihanna …was brazilliant! He werked that collection and his win was well-earned.

Now, Line of the Night … all season long it seems they’ve gone to Anthony, but last night’s best line, for me, was when Fabio said:
“God gave me a mind that thinks, and it thinks about pockets.”
Loved that.

I also loved Fabio’s choice of music to be played during his collection—accordion music—as a nod to his grandfather, since the collection was a nod to his grandmother.

Catherine Zeta Jones? No; just no.

Again, I love me some Isaac, or, in Isaac-speak, I’m simply mad about him.

The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™, coming off the scandal brought about by her soon-to-be ex-husband, Harvey Weinstein, was the epitome of grace and elegance; truly beautiful

Alyssa Milano? Whoever styled her most of the season must have not been a Who’s The Boss fan because they put her in some hideous clothes all season long. She needs a new rider in her contract that she gets better wardrobe choices,

I seriously can see these three designers are having wonderful careers, and so that’s a win-win in my book.

PR All-St★rs 6 Ep12: It's So Twisted

We begin with the Final Four, Fabio, Anthony, Stanley and Ken, looking fine in DC, and headed toward the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History to meet Alyssa Milano. She talks a wee bit about the museum, but we really want to know the challenge, which will be creating a six-piece collection showcasing each designtestant’s mark in American fashion history.

A collection? Is this the finale? It must be, because they have a week, and $2,000 to spend, not at Mood, but at the birthplace of all things Mood… the Mood warehouse. Alyssa then mentions that the models are waiting for their casting … on the roof, and she’s gone, allowing the Final Four to tour the museum, gathering inspiration before heading to the roof to pick their girls.

Back in the workroom, The designers each start drafting a game plan of how to complete six looks in seven days and then Alyssa appears in the workroom … this can’t be good … with a Twist; she tells them to “expect the unexpected” and then says they must create a signature look to show the judges who will decide which three will hit The Tents.

Shiz just got real, because all four thought all four would show; let’s dish …
STANLEY
Stanley is inspired by Jackie O, and different snippets from the museum; he wants to play with volume and shape and minimalism. He’s keeping his color palette simple, with whites and cream alongside hints of black leather.

Anne Fulenwider loves the idea of the leather, because the color is so basic—though she says that not necessarily a bad thing—and she loves the idea of the leather, until Stanley mentions gloves. She reminds him that gloves can go costume, and warns him to edit, and edit, and edit.

WHAT HE SAID
It’s so beautiful. All that skirt with a little bit of black.

WHAT I SAID
It’s so simple, but still powerful and easy. I love the bits of black and the simple flat shoe.

WHAT THE JUDGES SAID
The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ loves it, calling it powerful, though the skirt feels like it has one too many layers.

Isaac Mizrahi says the thing he loves more than a black dress with white petticoats is a white dress with a black lining. He loves the simplicity of the dress, calling it close to the plainest dress he’s ever seen … not a bad thing. He is, however, not a fan of the black leather collar.

Guest look, the fabulous Dita Von Teese loves the look, especially the 1950s full skirt; she does somewhat agree with Isaac about the collar, but she feels it’d be better if it was more delicate.

Fellow Guest judge, and former designer mentor, Zanna Roberts Rassi … love her … calls the look Project Runway Allstars Gold, and says it hits past, present and future styles; she loves the innocent white with the naughty black leather.

Alyssa Milano loved the peek-a-boo black lining and called the look cool and simple.
FABIO
Fabio harkens back to his grandmother, who taught him to sew, but wants to take the classics and make them modern by playing with contrast and proportions and color. His signature piece he’ll show the judges features smocking, an old sewing technique he learned from his grandmother; it’s cool because he does it with a stripe that looks a little Americana to me.

Anne likes his skirt though she has questions about the top and the proportions—something Fabio can fix at the fittings—and says she wants to see more of his hip New York City girl.

WHAT HE SAID
Everything is working so beautifully.

WHAT I SAID
As separates, I love the pieces, though I love the skirt more; they just seem off when put together.

WHAT THE JUDGES SAID
The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ ‘adores’ the smocking and the striping; she calls it a look for a powerful woman.

Isaac Mizrahi thinks Fabio’s muse should be Fabio; he says Fabio’s own look is put together in a gauche way but he gets too polite when designing for women—“Don’t let those bitches scare you.”—and wants Fabio to bring more edge, and more of this sick length and more, of what I’ll call an Isaacism, “gauche caviar.”

Dita Von Teese loves the modern 50s skirt and the smocking but not the wallpaper fabric of the top.

Zanna Roberts Rassi says Fabio’s aesthetic is ‘folksy couture’ but she thinks this look is too much, too discombobulated.

Alyssa Milano loves it and wants it.
KEN
Ken is moved by a simple white lace tie worn by Harriet Tubman and has chosen to mix things up; he’ll stay with the perfect tailoring but will forego the bold colors for softer hues and fabrics to create a powerful feminine Victorian modern collection filled with romance.

I don’t know if the last challenge is the time to completely mix things up but … Anne sees his design and loves it; she loves the dramatic take on a Victorian sleeve and when Ken suggest a train to add more drama she’s intrigues.

WHAT HE SAID
It’s a full-on look. I love the fit [and] the tailoring.

WHAT I SAID
Where is the sleeve? That sash just seems like a last-second addition.

WHAT THE JUDGES SAID
Zanna Roberts Rassi misses Ken’s graphic, darker signature style and wants him to stick to that and avoid the whimsy of a sash.

The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ wishes the look was black and white because it’s a lot of shiny; she hates the earrings, but loves the proportions, and the way the sash length meets that of the pants.

Isaac Mizrahi, however, adores the pants and the fabrics and wishes the sash had been longer and more dramatic.

Dita Von Teese loves the crisp pant but calls the sash fussy.

Alyssa Milano noted the perfect tailoring and kind of, maybe, sometimes, liked the sash.
ANTHONY
I think Anthony had the best description of his collection: if Audrey Hepburn had lived long enough to become Rihanna. I think it gives a perfect idea of what to expect; classic and simple and modern and bold and, maybe, unexpected.

Anne loves the idea, but, wait. Is this another gown? How does red carpet go fashion forward? And where’s the Rihanna in this look?  Anne warn shim that his look needs to stand out if he expects the judges to want to see more.

And so, Anthony tweaks the look, adjusting the hem and opening the back and adding a swoop.

WHAT HE SAID
It’s drama. It moves beautifully. It’s well-balanced between her train and the open back.

WHAT I SAID
Is it really new, though?

WHAT THE JUDGES SAID
Isaac Mizrahi loved the fresh length, and the flawless back, and the wide straps; he says the fabric is also fresh, but the waist seems unresolved.

The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ doesn’t like the heavy fabric and says he needs an ‘understructure;’ to resolve the drooping waist; she does love the silhouette and the length and the drama.

Dita Von Teese loves the ‘Aud-RiRi’ idea and the color, but also notes the wonky waist.
Zanna Roberts Rassi calls it elegant and loves the wide straps; she loves the fabric and the movement.

Alyssa loves the pleating on the side of the dress but also points out that the waist is a little off.
Well, expect the unexpected … because Alyssa has a surprise challenge, for the final four designtestants … who are less than amused,

Alyssa takes the designers through the control room to another workroom where their models away in the underwear. Once there, Alyssa tells them that they must make a whole new look from the scraps of Auf’d designers and they have just one hour to do so. The bell sounds and the dash for fabric scraps begins …

Stanley goes for sequins and faux leather, while Ken reverts to black fabrics; Anthony found a huge trove of fabrics left by Josh and does an Anthony drape, while Fabio starts with a burgundy and then switches it up to khaki shorts and a white draped top.

Back on the runway … from left to right:

Stanley had another hit with all the judges; Isaac Mizrahi called it ‘bling-blocking,’ while The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ loved how in control and finished the look seemed; Zanna Roberts Rassi loved the gold and silver sequins and said she would have loved to see the leather collar on this look, and Alyssa Milano called it clever.

Fabio explains his look as being a clash of proportion and fit. The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ said it was easy and exciting while Isaac Mizrahi wished the shorts had been above the knee. Alyssa Milano loved the ‘Boy Scout’ short and chic top and Zanna Roberts Rassi again pointed out that it was perfectly Fabio.

Ken created an elegant black, perfectly tailored dress that gets points for being totally Ken. Alyssa says she couldn’t tell it was a one-hour look, while The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ called chic and powerful and extraordinary. Isaac Mizrahi thought it too controlled and told Ken he should go a little mad. Dita Von Teese loved the perfect seaming and the high slit.

Anthony offered a draped moment that scored with the judges for color and elegance, but notes are made that the fabric is terribly wrinkled. Isaac doesn’t like the length or wrinkles, but The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ loved the flamboyance and control. Dita Von Teese also loved the color and one shoulder detail, while Zanna Roberts Rassi called it a well done splash of color. Alyssa brought it home by saying it was Old Hollywood Glamour.

Now the judges deliberate …

The Beautiful Georgina Chapman™ called Anthony consistent, and loved the tailored bodice of Ken’s showcase look; she liked Fabio’s look, but not the top, and said Stanley’s was impressive.

Isaac Mizrahi didn’t like that Anthony’s second look was sent out wrinkled, and noted that Ken’s pants weren’t fir tight on the model and hated that he sued black for his second look, calling it a default color. He definitely wants to see more of Fabio and felt that Stanley’s bling dress was a miss compared to the things he’d made all season.

Dita Von Teese loved Ken’s fabrics, and Ken’s tailoring, but liked Fabio’s pieces if they were shown separately. She said Stanley’s look was her favorite.

Zanna Roberts Rassi thought Anthony had really evolved and wants more; she felt Ken’s switch to lighter fabrics fell flat, while she felt Fabio’s second look was a total winner. As for Stanley’s showcase piece, she called it iconic.

In no particular order … Stanley is in, followed by Fabio. It gets down to Ken and Anthony, and Anthony gets the nod, while Ken is sent home.

Seeing grown men, even grown gay men, freak out over rolling dress racks was high-larious!

The One Hour Challenge was unnecessary; the look wasn’t to be used in the collection, and the challenge wasn’t used because the judges couldn’t decide who should go. It was really just a waste of time since the look basically didn’t matter.

I want Zanna back as mentor next time around; Anne Fulenwider is just so stiff and doesn’t seem invested in the designers.

Again, I want to just sit in a room with Isaac Mizrahi and hear him talk. It would totally be better than gauche caviar.

Lines of the Night—as usual—go to Anthony:

On his fabric choice:
“When you sew Silk Faille, it stays. When you sew neoprene, it’s like, ‘We'll see you later.’”
And on draping:
“I describe draping as lovemaking. All parties involved need to be satisfied when it’s over.”
As for The Tents, I seriously would have been happy when any of them; I so hoped they’d give us all four and was sad that Ken was axed. I think his style is cool, but he missed the mark by straying too far from his aesthetic.

As for the winner of the whole shebang, I think it might be Stanley; his looks are so crisp and put together. But I’d love a Fabio win because I love his quirkiness. Anthony makes beautiful gown sand red carpet looks, but that’s kind of one note, a beautiful one note, though.
