Architecture Wednesday: I Just Adore A Penthouse View

Okay, so we've had country houses in Spain and Pump Houses in England, but I needs me some New York real estate about now. I needs me a Tribeca penthouse, and this one fits the bill quite nicely.
It has a private elevator so i don't need to mingle with those with whom I choose not to mingle. And that elevator leads to a gorgeous double height living and dining room beneath a massive skylight that runs the width of the room.
Light is so important, y'all.
A Portero marble fireplace;  quarter-sawn limed oak walls; Wenge floors--I Googled for you...it's an exotic hardwood, and I am all about the exotic hardwoods, you know--and exposed steel and stone that create an ambience that is both monumental and warm.
I also adore a warm monument, if I'm being completely honest.
The top of the line kitchen opens into the living room and features Bulthaup cabinetry, double ovens, Subzero refrigerator and a 400 bottle walk in wine cellar.
Four.Hundred.Bottles. That'll cut down my liquor store runs.
The library has walls lined in exotic Makore paneling--more Googling and we learn Makore is African cherry wood--a fireplace and a gorgeous bar. Alongside the library are a laundry room, a powder room, and two bedrooms, each with en-suite bath,.
A sky-lit staircase leads to a family room which overlooks the living room below. At the other end of this floor is the master bedroom, with its own dressing room, sitting room, a private, south facing terrace--Tuxedo adores a south facing terrace, bit i digress--and a master bath with an intricate mosaic marble floors that feature radiant heating, a double steam shower--double the steam, double the pleasure--double sinks and spa tub.
The third level provides access to a fully landscaped private roof top terrace, with a full kitchen, and dishwasher for all those outdoor soirees.
I'm in.
