Nikki Haley: Right For Corporate Interests, Wrong For South Carolina

This just in from Round-The-Way-Gay, and frequent ISBL contributor, Neal:

It seems that the esteemed Republican candidate for governor, and FOP [Friend of Palin, Nikki Haley released her new jobs plan that she wants to institute if she becomes governor. Nice, that she has a plan so far in advance; not nice are some of the omissions in her plan.

Phil Noble, President of the South Carolina New Democrats, called it a good plan, a "great 19th century jobs" plan.

These 10 words do not appear in Nikki Haley's jobs plan:
Agriculture -- our largest industry.
Tourism -- our second largest industry.
Technology -- the largest driver of economic growth in the past 20 years.
Computer/Internet -- nifty little thing that is used for most every phase of economic activity.
Capital -- as in venture capital that's needed for start-ups, the creator of small business jobs.
Global -- everything and everyone else in the world.
Exports -- the stuff we sell in the global marketplace to make money.
International -- as in international business, the way we make the money from the world.
Green -- as in green jobs, 21st century jobs that save money and can't be shipped overseas.
Rural - as in rural development, what 1 million of us (23.4 percent of South Carolinians) desperately need.

What Nikki Haley wants to also do is eliminate all corporate taxes.
That's right.
Corporations will pay no taxes.
So, who do you think really wants to elect Nikki Haley?
The people of South Carolina, or the corporations of South Carolina.

  1. So without tax revenue how do things get paid? That's the reason why California is in such bad shape. Republicans don't want to pay taxes and then they bitch when people have to rely on the government for things like freeway construction, road improvements, public libraries, etc.

I hope she loses. Big time.
