GOP Candidate's Family Campaigns Against Him

Paul Gosar is a Republican running for reelection as a congressman representing Arizona, facing off against Democrat David Brill and Brill has a new weapon against his opponent: Paul Gosar’s family.

Brill has unveiled a series of new ads that feature six of Gosar's siblings— Tim, Jennifer, Gaston, Joan, Grace, and David— denouncing his views on health care and immigration, adding that their brother's positions have torn the family apart.

Grace Gosar put it bluntly:
"It would be difficult to see my brother as anything but a racist."
Paul Gosar is the oldest of 10 siblings in a family that grew up in Wyoming and is one of _____’s most rabid supporters … go figure. He stands against the Dream Act, and really, really wants that wall. And he has some interesting friends, it was recently reported that Gosar joined  Filip DeWinter, a Belgian politician known for anti-Muslim views, for a lengthy dinner, after the two men attended a London rally in support of a jailed anti-Islamic activist.

David Gosar thinks his brother is ill:
"None of us are doing this for publicity. None of us even want to do it. He just doesn't appear to be well."
Gaston Gosar takes on his brother's views on environmental policy, saying Paul Gosar is willing to roll back regulations "if it benefits his interests or puts a dollar in his pocket from one of his constituents or large mining groups."

How very republican of him, eh?

The Brill campaign reached out to Gosar’s family after seeing a series of critical Twitter posts from David Gosar. The campaign contacted him, and multiple Gosar siblings reportedly made campaign contributions to the campaign shortly after.

Paul Gosar, and his campaign, aren’t talking, but it does speak volumes about him, and about the Resistance.

Sometimes it’s right there in the family.

  1. Saw that and I couldn't stop laughing. You must be bad when your own flesh and blood call you ought.
