I Didn't Say It

Mostly asshats and wingnuts this week ... but let's start with the non-asshat:

John Barrowman, on being photographed with Vine homophobe Nash Grier

“When I took the picture with Nash Grier I had no idea that he’d made some homophobic comments, however he’s standing with one of the biggest gay guys in the world, and if he doesn’t change his homophobic attitudes and doesn’t grow up…. then he’s an asshole.”

Word.
James Dobsonfounder of Focus on the Family, on bisexuality:

“If men can marry and if the things that are said about same-sex relationships and marriage and the Bible are misunderstandings, what do you do with the rest of LGBT? What do you do with bisexuality? If one of those is right and proper and holy, what about those who have sex with males and females at the same time? That’s called orgies, that’s what it used to be called, or just sleeping around with everybody and it doesn’t matter. How can a Christian minister who reads the Bible condone that?”

James, you’re a moron. Just because bisexuals are attracted to both genders doesn’t necessarily mean they are having sex with both genders at the same time.
And what of all those so-called straight folks who’ve orgied about? Are they okay because they self-identify as straight?
Ben Carson, anti-LGBT activist loon, agreeing with Dobson, says same-sex marriage is offensive to God:

“Well, you know, my emphasis is that marriage is an institution established by God himself...So when you start distorting that, you’re really going pretty deep into the finger-in-your-eye to God. That’s why I have a hard time understanding why ministers are willing to do that.”

Um, Ben, you dick. Marriage was an institution created by man, er, men, to make women their property, and those men invoked the name of God to make it sound all the more reasonable; it didn’t work.
The people giving the finger to God are people like you who fight against change because that’s the way you want it to be.
Funny, though, I wonder which side of this argument you’d have fallen on back in the Sixties when interracial marriage went through this same battle.
Bryan Fischer, American Family Association spokestool, saying the First Amendment only applies to Christians:

"I have contended for years that the First Amendment, as given by the Founders, provides religious liberty protections for Christianity only. Most attorney types, befuddled by years of untethered Supreme Court activism, think it covers any and all religions you can name. The results of this expansive but badly misguided understanding of the First Amendment have not been too costly to this point. But with Islam growing in America like a noxious weed, some of the more troublesome aspects of this distorted view of religious liberty are becoming evident, when it comes to things like school curricula, halal food, and Christian evangelism at Muslim street fairs. These problems have been brought into stark relief now by Satanists, who are pressing for exactly the same kind of religious liberty protections the Supreme Court just recognized for Hobby Lobby."

That’s a good Christian there, people. And, of course, quite the storyteller that Freedom of Religion applies to only one faith, even though the First Amendment says nothing about that.
Rick Wiles, certified loon and End Times radio host, on how an Ebola outbreak in the U.S. might be a good thing:

“Now this Ebola epidemic can become a global pandemic and that’s another name for plague. It may be the great attitude adjustment that I believe is coming. Ebola could solve America’s problems with atheism, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, pornography and abortion. If Ebola becomes a global plague, you better make sure the blood of Jesus is upon you..."

How many times have we heard from these so-called “Christians” about how they are being bashed and denied Free Speech and maybe being run out of town on a rail by The Liberals and The Gays and The Gay Friendlies?
And yet I have never once heard anyone associated with the fight for LGBT Rights wish for the death of a single Christian and yet this guy seems to have no problem hoping we all die.
F**kity f**kity f**k f**k f**k.

  2. I cannot see how anyone who professes to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ can possibly contemplate with equanimity the painful death of another person who does not follow their beliefs. That sounds like a lot of the raging from radical extremist Muslims.

Can it be that, like politicians, the various religious radical extremists have more in common with one another than with normal people?

  3. If there was a rating for 'shrill-ness' these would have readings off the measurable scale. It's perfectly plain that they are so annoyed (and astonished) at losing ALL the arguments that they've got to resort to just plain silliness in the hope that it'll help them retain their obedient, head-nodding, flocks. Good luck (NOT), losers!

  5. There are thousands of Christians stuck on a mountain top and they are dying of thirst and starvation. Take your considerable resources and tend to them.
