Laura Ingraham Solves Unemployment

Yes, I know, it’s Fox News, and it’s Laura Ingraham, of the GOP-Is-It-A-Nazi-Salute Ingraham, one of the most hate-filled human beings on the plants. But recently she was discussing unemployment, and people on unemployment and what could be done to move those people back to work and, well, it went like this:

Ingraham:

“What if we just cut off the unemployment? Hunger is a pretty powerful thing. I don’t mean physical hunger, because people who truly are in need, need help, but [not] people who can work but refuse to work.”

Jon Taffer:

“I have friends in the military who trains military dogs Laura, and they only feed a military dog at night, because a hungry dog is an obedient dog. Well, if we are not causing people to be hungry to work, then we are providing them with all the meals they need sitting at home.”

Yes, they think the way to move people off the unemployment rolls is to starve them.

In America, we will see to it that you starve if you don’t need to be on unemployment. But then who gets to decide who needs unemployment? The Eva Brauns Laura Ingraham of the world? The self-entitled rich bitches who look down upon those people on unemployment and suggest we deny them food?

Or we let Jon Taffer, who I have never heard of but a quick Google search describes him as a “television personality” who thinks we should treat the unemployed like dogs until they learn to be obedient.

There are only so many ways to tell these two morally bankrupt, uncaring, rightwingnuts off, but the best and easiest is:

Fuck you.

  1. Wow. This is low. Even for Fox News. To equate motivating people to dog training. How out of touch are these people? And how does such a horrible human being, as Laura Ingraham live with herself? That's a whole lot of crazy that Fox News allows on the air day after day. What happened to responsible television? At what point is Fox News allowed to pollute the airwaves with this crap. I hope both Laura and Jon get what they deserve in this life. Such repugnant people should not be foisted on the general public as 'entertainment.' This makes me ill.

  2. Ingraham is garbage. But it's Faux News so yeah.
    The dehumanization of the 'others' is essential part of their propaganda. Also, I watched a video of her siblings dragging her neo nazi ass and spilling the tea on their abusive, rage-ridden, white supremacist father. The rotten apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

    XOXO

  5. How do you tell the difference between those who will not work and those who cannot work for whatever reason; for health reasons, cannot work as there are no jobs available or there are no suitable jobs available

    The will not work people (aka the shirkers) actually form a miniscule part of the population. Sometimes it is impossible to sort out the shirkers (and often it costs more to force them into work they will leave as soon as they possibly can) and it will cost more than giving them benefits. To stop benefits for all is the action of a crazed autocratic regime.

      So, Fox News.

      Honestly this is why you should never vote for Republicans or Dems who want to "work with" Republicans, i.e. simps.

      The good news is, the 90s are finally seemingly over.

  7. Republicans always think everyone is cheating the system. They have a very dim view of human nature.

  8. I read somewhere that Taffer had to backtrack so fast on that comment that his poor little toes almost spontaneously combusted!

    The lowest. If it was anywhere else but Fux [not a misspelling] News these two would have been reprimanded and goose-stepped from the building.

    @Six
    ‘Others,’ yes. Iit’s always them doing the bad thing; they make it hard for the decent folks.
    And we all know who they mean by ‘them’ and ‘them.’
    I guess Eva Ingraham fell straight outta the hate tree, hit every hate branch on the way down, and landed in a steaming pile of hate.
    h/t paraphrased from Will and Grace and The Gay Tree and that Jack fell out of.

    @Deedles
    It’s stories like these that make me miss Anne Marie all the more.
    FUCK THE FOP!!
    FUCK FOX NEWS!!!

    @Dave
    I think Bitch works.

    @Helen
    Well, I’m sure in the minds of people like Ingraham and Taffer, the cheaters can be determined by ethnicity.
    White folks don’t cheat, you know.

    @TDM
    It’s so vile it’s stunning.

    @Steve
    I’m sure there are people cheating the system, but it isn’t everyone and yet the GOP seeks to punish everyone [but themselves] for the actions of a few.

    @Treaders
    Well, I think it’s hard to backtrack on something you said so clearly: starve a dog and he will obey; starve the unemployed and they will obey.

  11. Jon Taffer has a show called "Bar Rescue" that is formulaic but it is like comfort food for my brain when I need something on to turn off the brain so I can veg out. I didn't realize he was this much of an asshole. I mean he's an asshole on his show but his quote is really bad. And he went on her show so that is really, really disappointing. I guess I need to find a new show.

    Fuck all of 'em.

    @Mr Shife
    I'd heard of Taffer before but didn't know what show he had, and now that I know, I know what not to watch.

  13. I dare say she has never gone to the office on a Friday morning, and had the boss sobbing and saying, there is no money to cover the payroll checks, here is the address of the unemployment office. I have. Maybe she should.

    If anyone deserves to be unemployed, it's Ingraham, and while I might love that idea, I don't wish her the fate she wishes on other unemployed people.
