Anti-Marriage Equality Newlyweds Want their Hate Taken Off The Interwebz

Remember when you'd make a face and your mother would say if you kept it up your face would freeze like that? Well, maybe our mothers were right, but it isn't our faces freezing, it's what we put out on the interwebz that seemed to be frozen in time.

Like the case of Janelle and Mike Gehling.

Back in March, 2012, Janelle and Mike had just gotten married, and, well, to share their joy, these two devout Catholics, who live in Minnesota, decided to create a little video that was used in the campaign to advance an anti-gay marriage amendment in their state. Yes, they'd just tied the knot and then made a video about how they didn't want The Gays to be able to do the same thing.

Well, now these two lovebirds want their hateful video removed from the interwebz, and David Cary Hart, who posted the video online has received a "privacy" complaint from YouTube. But Hart ain't having it, as he said on his blog, The Slowly Boiled Frog, "As far as I am concerned, once a video is used in a political campaign, it is in the public domain."

I guess the Gehling's never realized that their hateful little anti-marriage equality ad would become the frozen mess that it is today. So, remember, Mama was right, though, maybe it isn't your face that will freeze like that,it's your  bigotry and your homophobia.

  8. They knew what they were doing when they made the video, now they have to suffer the consequences of being openly hateful bigots.

  9. Go to the link at the end of the video, and watch some of the other videos. All of the other ones voting yes also cite religion, one even being a fully grown man using the immature reasoning that "I dont understand why anyone would want to be gay".
