A Timeline of Ineptitude

Late November 2019: U.S. intelligence officials warned that a contagion was sweeping through China’s Wuhan region. The White House was notified.

December 31, 2019: The Associated Press reports that China is investigating an “outbreak of respiratory illness in the central city of Wuhan.”

January 6: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] warns Americans to take precautions if traveling to China.

January 8: The CDC issued a warning about what was now called ‘coronavirus’. The White House was notified.

January 9: _____ held a campaign rally.

January 14: The World Health Organization [WHO] issues a statement about the first COVID-19 case outside of China:
“There is no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission.”
January 14: _____ held a campaign rally.

January 17: The CDC says it  will start  screening passengers on direct or connecting flights from Wuhan.

January 18: _____ goes golfing.

January 19: _____ goes golfing.

January 21: The first coronavirus case in the U.S. is confirmed in a patient near Seattle.

January 22: At the World Economic Forum  in Davos, _____ is asked if he has a plan to contain the coronavirus in the U.S. _____ says the U.S. does have a plan and it’s “going to be handled very well.”

January 28: _____ held a campaign rally.

January 29: _____ announced the creation of the President’s Coronavirus Task Force led by Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar.

January 30: _____ discusses the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement at Dana Incorporated in Michigan saying:
“Now we're working very strongly with China on the coronavirus—that's a new thing that a lot of people are talking about. Hopefully it won't be as bad as some people think it could be.”
January 30: _____ held a campaign rally.

January 31: The _____ administration suspends entry into the U.S. by foreign nationals who traveled to China within the last 14 days; task force head Alex Azar declares a U.S. public health emergency for COVID-19. The declaration was retroactive to January 27.

February 1: _____ goes golfing.

February 6: The first U.S. citizen diagnosed with the coronavirus dies in Wuhan, China.
February 7: Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announces a U.S. pledge of $100 million to help China and other countries combat the coronavirus.

February 10: _____ held a campaign rally.

February 19: _____ held a campaign rally.

February 20: _____ held a campaign rally.

February 21: _____ held a campaign rally.

February 24: The White House asks Congress for $1.25 billion in new funding to help with coronavirus response. The administration also asked to move $535 million more from an Ebola preparedness account. _____ tweets:
“The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me!
February 25: _____’s top economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, tells CNBC that the U.S. has “contained” the coronavirus and that the outbreak is unlikely to be an “economic tragedy.”
Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases says:
“It’s not so much a question of if this will happen anymore but rather more a question of exactly when this will happen and how many people in this country will have severe illness.”

CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus, including the very early closing of our borders to certain areas of the world. It was opposed by the Dems, ‘too soon’, but turned out to be the correct decision.”
February 26: _____  announces that Vice President Mike Pence will head the U.S. response to the coronavirus outbreak, saying:
“We have, through some very good early decisions—decisions that were actually ridiculed at the beginning—we closed up our borders to flights coming in from certain areas, areas that were hit by the coronavirus and hit pretty hard. … The infection seems to have gone down over the last two days.”
Followed by this tweet:
“Low Ratings Fake News MSDNC (Comcast) & @CNN are doing everything possible to make the Coronavirus look as bad as possible, including panicking markets, if possible. Likewise their incompetent Do Nothing Democrat comrades are all talk, no action. USA in great shape!”
February 28: _____ held a campaign rally in North Carolina where he said:
“The Democrat policy of open borders is a direct threat to the health and well being of all Americans. Now you see it with the coronavirus.”
And then tweets:

“So, the Coronavirus, which started in China and spread to various countries throughout the world, but very slowly in the U.S. because President _____ closed our border, and ended flights, VERY EARLY, is now being blamed, by the Do Nothing Democrats, to be the fault of ‘_____’”.
February 29: The first U.S. death related to the coronavirus is announced after an individual in Washington state dies.

March 2: _____ held a campaign rally.

March 2: _____ meets with pharmaceutical companies to discuss speeding up the development of a vaccine and treatments for COVID-19. _____ claims that a vaccine would be ready in three to four months, while  Dr. Anthony Fauci says that a year to a year and a half would be a more accurate timetable.

March 4: _____ meets with airline executives on the coronavirus, saying:
“It's affecting the airline business, as it would. And a lot of people are staying in our country, and they're shopping and using our hotels in this country. So, from that standpoint, I think, probably, there's a positive impact.”
March 5: _____ tweets:
“I NEVER said people that are feeling sick should go to work. This is just more Fake News and disinformation put out by the Democrats, in particular MSDNC. Comcast covers the CoronaVirus situation horribly, only looking to do harm to the incredible & successful effort being made!”
And tweets:
“Gallup just gave us the highest rating ever for the way we are handling the CoronaVirus situation. The April 2009-10 Swine Flu, where nearly 13,000 people died in the U.S., was poorly handled. Ask MSDNC & lightweight Washington failure @RonaldKlain, who the President was then?”
And tweets:
“With approximately 100,000 CoronaVirus cases worldwide, and 3,280 deaths, the United States, because of quick action on closing our borders, has, as of now, only 129 cases (40 Americans brought in) and 11 deaths. We are working very hard to keep these numbers as low as possible!”
March 6: _____ signs an $8.3 billion spending package to combat the coronavirus.

March 7: _____ goes golfing.

March 8: _____ tweets:
“We have a perfectly coordinated and fine tuned plan at the White House for our attack on CoronaVirus. We moved VERY early to close borders to certain areas, which was a Godsend. V.P. is doing a great job. The Fake News Media is doing everything possible to make us look bad. Sad!
March 8: and then he goes golfing.

March 9: Tom Bossert, _____’s former pandemic adviser advocates for social distancing and school closures to slow the spread of the disease.
_____ tweets:
“So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!”
March 10: _____ meets with Republican lawmakers on the coronavirus and says:
“And when people need a test, they can get a test. When the professionals need a test, when they need tests for people, they can get the test. It's gone really well.”
And tweets about the Wall:
“Going up fast. We need the Wall more than ever!”
March 11: _____ announces that the U.S. is banning foreign travelers from 26 countries in Europe for 30 days. The White House Coronavirus Task Force announces 30-day mitigation strategies for part of Washington state, California and New Rochelle, New York. The State Department issues a Global Level 3 Health Advisory calling on U.S. citizens to reconsider traveling abroad.

The World Health Organization announces that COVID-19 can now be characterized as a pandemic. The White House ordered federal health officials to treat top-level coronavirus meetings as classified.

March 11: _____ tweets:
“America is the Greatest Country in the world. We have the best scientists, doctors, nurses and health care professionals. They are amazing people who do phenomenal things every day....”
And tweets:
“The Media should view this as a time of unity and strength. We have a common enemy, actually, an enemy of the World, the CoronaVirus. We must beat it as quickly and safely as possible. There is nothing more important to me than the life & safety of the United States!”
March 12: At a House hearing about coronavirus test kits, Fauci admits the U.S. is not where it needs to be in terms of testing capabilities.But, when asked about reports of physicians being unable to test potential coronavirus patients, _____ said there were a “million tests out now” and that there will be 4 million in the following days:
“If you go to the right agency, if you go to the right area, you get the test.”
March 13:_____ finally admits Coronavirus might be a problem, but then maybe not:
“To unleash the full power of the federal government in this effort, today I am officially declaring a national emergency. Two very big words. The action I am taking will open up access to up to $50 billion of very importantly—very important and a large amount of money for states and territories and localities in our shared fight against this disease.”
And then tweeted:
“To this point, and because we have had a very strong border policy, we have had 40 deaths related to CoronaVirus. If we had weak or open borders, that number would be many times higher!”
April 15: 26,000+ Americans are dead from the virus.

  5. I wish I could think that the deaths of all those affected adversely by the coronavirus in US & UK weighed heavily upon the consciences of der Trumpenfuhrer and Bojo, but sadly I suspect that the only person that matters to either of them is themselves.

  8. Honestly the western world completely dropped the ball until March. Dump just kept trying to hit the ball with a golf club a little longer. Dumpy is trying to blame WHO now because he's aiming at everything to see what sticks, they did screw up, they were worried about politically offending people and that let the virus get completely out of control.
    I say the craziest crap with dumpy on James Cordon last night, I think that man is going insane.

  15. It's getting more and more scary with him announcing he could adjourn Congress... The talking heads all say he can't that it would be illegal. But, there is a provision in the Constitution that would allow it. And, I think he's just asshole enough to try....
