Before we get to the Dumb People, here's this guy that my father, who volunteers at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, sent to me: an Inca Tern, normally found along the western South American coast.
That’s all well and good, but I like it’s
Salvador Dali-esque face and that "smile." |
I wonder if twisted mustaches will be back in style now. I could probably let my white stash grow out.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Bob! And they should name him Salvador Dali me thinks.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of a bird found here several years back on the grounds of a owl, funnily enough, called little owl. A very small breed of owl and was taken to the refuge. Turns out it is native in Britian!!!!
With Dad living so far away, how can he watch over and guide his obstreperous son Bob?
ReplyDeleteIt IS very Dali-esque! Years ago I had a book of photos by Philippe Halsman of Dali and his famous mustache. He could have spoofed this bird and it would have fit right in.
ReplyDeleteAdd a little hat and he'd be Snidely Whiplash!
ReplyDeleteHello Dali indeed!
ReplyDeleteChortle, what a sweet little fellow!
ReplyDeletexoxo :-)
Looks a mite like a grey suited penguin. One artist has had a fish named after him - the Picasso Triggerfish https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagoon_triggerfish - I got "attacked" by one, all of 1 1/2" long while swimming in about 12" of water. Truly the prettiest fish I've ever seen
ReplyDeleteHis name is Salvador. This is a keeper!
ReplyDeleteOMG that's the cutest bird ever!
ReplyDeleteAnd how awesome is it that your dad volunteers at the aquarium? Yes!
XOXO
Clever...
ReplyDeletePerfecto! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet bird
