Why Mittsy? Why Turn A Disaster Into A Campaign Stop?

Mittsy and Paulie. What a pair. One day, in fact, at times, one minute, they say one thing and the next minute they say exactly the opposite.

With the East coast under siege with rain and wind and flooding, Mittsy and Paulie said on Monday that they would be suspending all campaign events ... all campaign events ... today, out of respect for those suffering without power, without shelter, and, if Mittsy was president, without federal disaster relief.

But, um, yeah, that promise to stop campaigning lasted until the ink was dry on the press release and now, once again politicizing disaster, Romney and Ryan will be holding "hurricane relief" events today.

What's that you say? Hurricane relief? To raise money, of course, for the victims of Sandy?

No. To campaign. 

While Ohio is being battered by the storm, Mittsy will be campaigning there; And Paul Lyin' Ryan is set to collect donations in Wisconsin. His "event" is particularly disgusting; while his team is now calling it a “storm relief event” for the people of Ohio, it's actually a speech and press event.

But Lyin' Paul Ryan’s "event" is even worse, because he'll be “visiting” two storm relief efforts in Wisconsin to “thank” volunteers; very much like the time he stopped in at the soup kitchen to wash the clean pots and pans and have his picture taken.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan promised to cancel their events and not use the storm, and the devastation caused by it, as a political event.

They lied.

Again.

It's not about Americans and their homes and their lives and their need for aid in the wake of the storm. It's about Mitt Romney and his ambition and his need to be president.

Well, I for one don't need that.
