I don't wanna sound completely biased, but we are all used
to seeing, and hearing, GOP members do, and say, the most idiotic things. I
mean, it kinda seems like it's their "thing".
And let's talk about a couple
of GOP wacknuts.
Rivard |
One in particular,
is Wisconsin Freshman Congressman Roger Rivard, who lost the endorsement
of GOP Hound- and Lap-dog, and Vice President of Lies, Paul Ryan, when Rivard
claimed that, ahem, "[S]ome girls rape easy."
Oh, but he did.
Then he tried to clarify his
remarks with this: "[My father] also told me one thing: 'If you do
[have premarital sex], just remember, consensual sex can turn into rape in an
awful hurry.'"
Then, as the rational part of
his own party, both of them, and the remainder of the country started to go
Akin on his ass, Rivard released another clarification, calling rape a
"horrible act of violence."
Huh. You don't say. Of course,
is this really a surprise from the GOP which features members saying women's
bodies have the supernatural ability to fend off a rapist’s sperm so they can't
get pregnant, or, that there are several different "kinds" of rape,
from the Paul Ryan "forcible" rape to, well, I guess the "She
was asking for it" kind of rape.
Dumbbell |
But, since we're talking GOP
asshats, and Paul Ryan, let's revisit a little quote of Paulie's from a few days
back.
When asked whether this
country has a gun problem, Ryan responded like this:
"The best thing to help
prevent violent crime in the inner cities is to bring opportunity in the inner
cities. Is to help teach people good discipline, good character."
Funny, Mister Limited
Government, suddenly wants the government to get into the "character
building" business, though, only in the inner cities, because good folks
in the country have all the character they need.
The GOP, still crazy after all
these years.
My apologies to Paul Simon.
Another day, another debate...
ReplyDeletestupid GOP fucktards!
ReplyDeleteI'm from Illinois, so when you said you apologized to Paul Simon, I thought "why, he's a Democrat". Then realized you meant the singer, not the politician. Just a duh moment, I guess!
ReplyDeleteWe see this argument of character all the time from right wing extremists. They're basically saying that the white man needs to go in an evangelize the black people who live in the city. In other words, they're still living in the 19th century mindset of civilization versus savagery. It's ridiculous and disgusting.
