Not a new home, this 2574 square foot beauty, located in Westchester County, New York, was designed by Roy Johnson in 1969.
And looks like it’s in a park, with the woods, and the lawns, and the pool with a waterfall. I love all the wood—it looks like a pagoda-style cabin—and the windows that flood the house with light.
Still, a nearly fifty-year-old house might be showing her age, but clearly the kitchen and baths have been redone and yet still suit the style of the home.
I might like to sip a nice Malbec on the terrace while Carlos does some grilling.

She has aged well. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this house except for the fact it isn't mine. My house is a couple of years older, and is a bona fide dump next to this. I can just see myself standing on a little step to get into that bathtub! Sigh, I can also see myself being hoisted out of said tub by one or two hunky firemen coming to my rescue (I haven't been able to sit in a tub for years). I do love warm hard wood in a home.
ReplyDelete@deedles - you just love a good hard wood, amirite? ;-)
ReplyDeletelovely home!
@ anne marie: You got that right! We trashed my carpet years ago and laid hard wood in just about every room! Hubby was pleased with the job and I was just tired. Nothing I say from now on will sound clean.
ReplyDeleteThis place screams winter home. And even better if the pool and waterfall were heated for winter swimming.
ReplyDeleteLove everything about this one. Especially the light, oh and the waterfall.
