The latest about #45 over here is that by some sleight of hand, he will be able to make billions from Truth Social through stock market chicanery. I do not get it. If he was assassinated or died from FFS (fast food syndrome) I wonder who the MagaMob would rally round?
Just want to let you know this old guy is getting tired. Leon and I have been dealing with health issues - his heart procedure and the after care (which was not supposed to involve hours and hours in the emergency room or be difficult at all) and my endless aches and pains and trying to keep up with the activities of daily life...so I've not been following blogs - or writing in my own blog - of late (the older I get, the less I have to say about anything). As a matter of fact, I believe that will continue for the foreseeable future and beyond. I just want you to know I may check in now and then without leaving a comment. Keep up the good work.
The exodus of "classic conservative" Republicans from Congress because their "ethical" fee-fees have been hurt is just nauseating! Yes, the Republican conference is full of people that are impossible to work with, but leaving your own constituents in the lurch is hardly a courageous act. This move subjects them to governor-appointed temps and/or special elections that could have nothing but nightmare choices! Don't get me wrong, I want Hakeem Jeffries to be Speaker of the House once a few more leave, but the Repukes coulda left en masse to make the chamber a Dem majority immediately to prove a much bigger point by giving it back to the grown-ups. Or, tell the world they will not vote for Trump or any Republican ever because that party is dead! Come on, guys!! Make your exodus count for something instead of being little rats scurrying away 'cause there's no cheese left on anybody's cracker! 🤪🐀
My immediate thought, when I read that IQ45 was hurting for money was, "so another bankruptcy, so what". I do love seeing him squirm and I wish, well I won't say exactly what I wish but you've got an imagination. I do hope that some of this causes the normal Republican voter to consider either not voting or voting for the Democrats in this upcoming election. The world does NOT need to see a repeat of 2016-2020.
