I am not a follower of the Bible, per se, but there is one line that I try to live by; try to live by: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
I also have this problem where I try to think before I speak or act, though it doesn’t always work. But I do know for a fact that I would never be like Lindsay McMichael.
She’s the sister of the man who gunned down Ahmaud Arbery, and after her brother and father hunted him down and killed him she posted pictures of the unarmed black jogger’s dead body online because she is “a true-crime fan.”
Seriously? McMichael, 30 … and I’m not sure if that’s her age or IQ … admitted posting that photograph—which you will not see here—but meant no harm:
“I had no nefarious or malicious intent when I posted that picture. The thing is I’m a huge fan of true crime—I listen to four or five podcasts a week—I’m constantly watching that sort of thing. It was more of a, ‘Holy s–t, I can’t believe this has happened.' It was absolutely poor judgment.”
No, Lindsey it was ignorance and stupidity and a complete lack of understanding that the man your brother murdered in cold blood has a family that is grieving his loss but, by all means, you do you and share those photos and be the despicable human being you’ve proven yourself to be,
Lindsay has defended her brother and father, saying they never “meant to kill anybody” and always “loved” her non-white boyfriends. But, um, you dimbulb, they were riding around in their truck with shotguns and when they say they saw something suspicious … a black man in their neighborhood … they chased him down and murdered him; that’s what happens when you give a moron and racist a gun. Still, Lindsay maintains:
“We’re not monsters.”
Yes, you are, and while you can’t go to jail for what you did, I hope your brother and father do; and I hope you take more than the nanosecond it took you to post that photo online and think about a reversed situation. How would you feel if someone murdered your brother, and then the murderer’s sister posted a similar photo?
Think, before you act, Lindsay, if, in fact, you are able to think at all.

Of course they’re monsters.
ReplyDeleteShe is a monster, her father is a monster and her brother is a monster.
For people like her, other people’s miseries are an spectacle, something they’d use to bring attention to themselves. Amoral sociopath, just like IMPOTUS.
XoXo
Lack of brains and morals!
ReplyDeleteEXECUTE THEM ALL NOW! worthless POS redneck racists!
ReplyDeleteOh please...this bitch is gonna make me vomit. Save your tears dear.
ReplyDeleteJust curious how many "non-white" boyfriends she's had!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I try, too. But Maya Angelou was my idol, and she didn’t tolerate haters either.
ReplyDeleteI can't bear to watch the endless broadcasts of the torture and death of George Floyd; that seems very much to me like voyeurism
