  2. I did have to laugh at the mayflies, shame they weren't sitting on a head of lettuce. The Kennedy reference seems geared towards conspiracy theorists.

    1. If the conspiracy is that the Secret Service deleted 1/6 texts, which I completely believe since they have very little to turn over ....

  3. That prices/profits one is exactly right.

  7. The mountain of evidence says it all. If he gets off after all this, then we have the most corrupt government I've ever seen. I was inflation and CEOs incorporations taking even more money something big is brewing this country and I do not like the feeling. Something's going to happen.

    1. We need to start electing people who don't get bought by big corporations.

  8. That second one is spot on. While we're all groaning under record inflation and fuel prices, the corporate overlords are raking in the dough. I wish more people would focus on who they SHOULD be angry at, rather than on Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton.

I didn't get the Kennedy one until I read Dave R's question above and your response.

    1. The Secret Service ALLEGEDLY deleted many texts during the insurrection, so the cartoon asks what if it happened when Kennedy was shot.

  10. I know you work hard for your readers-with Carlos' blessing of course. The picks this week are great as always. I look for composition and message. To that end:

*#2-Prices/Profits. The media are slow to catch on. Like Moonvess-CBS-stated, the current state of affairs in our politics are good for them-i.e. profits. The media doesn't want to loose us totally so they are throwing the public a bone and stating the obvious, what we have known for months now. Love the two pane comic and how it bleeds into the second.

*#11-The Kennedy assignation and the Secret Services' command to delete their text messages. To be frank, this should of been a bigger story/fuss than it was. There should have been some type of investigative committee just to deal with the security of January 6th-pre and post. I woke up on January 6th and saw that the Capitol had little to no extra security presence. I couldn't believe my eye. Where were the National Guard? Even I knew trouble was afoot from my perch in Denver. We know Merrick G. is slow to pull the trigger on anything. But I believe when our democracy is at stake all bets are off. Let the chips fall where they may. Time for dragging ones' foot and niceties are past.

    * #12-The Mountain of Evidence. I believe Merrick G. WILL indite. He may not want to and it may not be in his nature BUT it is not about him. Lead with the facts and what the law requires. For gods sake our democracy is at stake. Remember the principle of a bully. If you don't confront-which every way that is-they will come back for more. NO!!
