Outstanding collection today! I will not congratulate a corporation for rolling back prices until I know that it didn't simply roll forward prices on enough other products to make up the difference...you know they do!! Take Mickey Ds...please (da dum tish 🥁). Years ago, I would order a cheeseburger, medium fries, medium soda, and would say "do NOT ring it up as the combo on the menu." I would demand it as individual items because the combo was 10 cents more! Corporations trained us to believe that combos are a deal and now they screw us! Sometimes, customers behind me would complain that I was slowing down the line because my request would actually not be easy to do on the register (it automatically creates the combo so you won't notice). And, even my quickest explanation to a person behind me wouldn't matter to them...I get it, their time is worth more than a dime...but this is how price-gouging begins and eventually the corp becomes overt about it! I wasn't being a Karen in the pre-Karen era! I was trying to be a small-time consumer advocate! 😁
People need to realize it's the corporations raising prices and perhaps strap on some balls and boycott the places where the CEOs are making billions while the average employee makes minimum wage!
Corporate greed is destroying the economy. The CEO’s will realize too late that with no middle class there will be no market for their goods and services. It’s like tat Twilight Zone episode where the machines are brought in to save money and the working man is out of a job forever. Later the robot shows up to replace the boss who is now considered insufficient and obsolete.
"It's only one vote" but it may very well be THE ONE needed to win the election! So get out there and VOTE BLUE! As for those bloody Conservatives-does their foul attitude carry over to their own daughters, sisters, wives?
