Mike O'Neal, the Republican Speaker of the Kansas House of Representatives
has asked his fellow Republicans to pray for the death of President Obama. So,
naturally, he has been awarded the Distinguished ISBL Asshat Of The Week Award.
O'Neal also sent an email to
his GOP goose-stepping morons back in December asking that they pray Psalm 109, which
contains the following lines:
Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
That email, along with his latest request for death to the president, has been the
subject of a mini-media frenzy. News outlets began rereading the verse and
printing the most damning portion of it:
'When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labor.
Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favor his fatherless children.'
Lovely, no? But also consider this: O'Neal emailed the, ahem,
prayer, with his own message:
“At last — I can honestly voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Look it up — it is word for word! Let us all bow our heads and pray. Brothers and Sisters, can I get an AMEN? AMEN!!!!!!”
So, people of Kansas, is this the kind of leader you wanted? Is this
the kind of Biblical passages you want read? Praying for death is Christian?
I never liked George W. Bush. I thought, and still think, he was
just about the worst person to ever take a seat in the Oval Office and lead
this country, but I never, never, wished for, asked for, prayed for, his death.
I guess that's just for Republicans in Kansas to so?
Congratulation
Mike O’Neal, you’re the First Asshat of 2013.
What an "honor"?

WRONG, ASSHAT! perhaps the FBI should investigate this SOB...
ReplyDeleteBeyond belief! - or, at least, I wish it was. But these days nothing surprises me.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I don't get with these jerks. They wrap themselves up in the flag, but they refuse to accept the results of elections. They say they are fighting for Christian values, but the speak and act in unchristian like manner. And yet they are only the flower. They keep getting elected, so there have to be more of these people. And that's what scares me. God forbid, but ne day, one of these rubes is going think these creek words are marching orders.
ReplyDeleteReally disgusting.
ReplyDeleteAny chance you read a story that is one year old? I can't find any current news on this, but lots of stuff from January 2012. Better late than never? Please provide link to current story if this is new action from everybody's favorite Kansan Asshat.
ReplyDeleteI'd wager this asshole has the BALLS to call himself a "Christian".
